Even so, his fear is of females. Confronting your fear works and all, I have heard of that, but they are the wrong people to go to in order to deal with that. Save Shinobu and Mitsumi, they all have low opinions of males and more specifically him, even if they get screwed over due to rising rent, and other such problems, I don't think they would really care.
After all, they treated him much the same when they thought he was in Todai, slightly better but still.
Oh and before anyone says anything, Kitsune does count, cause even when the lie still stood, she used him to get her kicks by making everyone else believe he was trying to take advantage of her.
You forgot Kanoko. While she is genuinely creepy at times, she
does care
about him. And outside of trying to be with him, I can't remember her
ever doing anything to him.
Other than that, I agree for the most part. But I do think that the threat
of being evicted would cause at least some of them to come to their
senses. Especially if this is late in the series, and he's had some of the
bonding story arcs under his belt to help with relations.
Motoko can be reasonable if you get past the 'All men are perverts' thing.
I could see her being ashamed after some self-reflection and being chewed
out by Haruka. If she's truely a samauri, then she has a strict code of honor.
And harming the innocent goes against nearly every teneat of Samauri Bushido.
Naru? Meh. She wasn't even apologetic when she hospitalized Keitaro, so I'll
give you her as a point. She wouldn't even bat an eye if she heard she had
made Keitaro afraid of all women. She would most likely snort and say good
riddance, happy in the knowledge that put the fear of God into a perverted
man.
Shinobu would be a nervous wreck when she found out, I guarantee it. And
if she found out it was the other's fault that she may never get a chance
with Sempai? Oh shit. Those shy girls? They tend to be the scariest. All that
repressed emotion, channeled into anger? At the very best she would be
very short with them. At worst? She'll side with Kanoko and start a damn war.
Su is too innocent and young to know about most of what's going on, or realize
that her actions were actually hurting Keitaro in a perminant way, so I'll leave her
out of this. She's an innocent young girl. A genius of the highest calibur to be sure,
but still a little girl.
Mitsune? I could see her going either way, honestly. It all depends on if you want
her concience to give her a wake up call or not. But that's the authors decision.
I personally think that she might act, especially if you take into account the
subconcious resentment of Naru. Remember, Mitusne has had her eyes on a lot
of men in the past, but she always stepped aside for Naru. And seeing how Naru
isn't with anyone at the moment, it's obvious that she probably stepped aside for
nothing. Seta was the worst case of this, but not the only case, or so we're told.
So I see Mitsune as being on the fence, but leaning somewhat toward's the 'Help
Keitaro' side. Especially if it was Naru who acted as 'the final straw' so to speak.
Haruka has always acted (or at least tried to act) in Keitaros best interest. So wether
she's in the 'Keitaro is better off far away' camp or the 'Keitaro HAS to come back. It's
what's best for us all' camp rests solely on the attitudes of the other girls. If she thinks
he'll get a warm welcome, she'll be all for it. If not? Then she won't. But I see her
supporting any decision Keitaro makes regardless, so her attitude also depends somewhat
on him.
Mutsumi? Truely in love with Keitaro, IMO. She'll try to get him to come back. And if she
can't, she'll follow him where ever he goes, in her own clumsy way.
And that's all I've got for now. It's my opinion, so take it with liberal amounts of salt. And
some antacid's if you tend to get indigestion.
