Bleach Images!

Okay, this isn't an image, but a video, and it's amazing.

Have any of you heard of Man at Arms? He's a blacksmith who has a channel on Youtube. He's created weapons for feature films for over 30 years, and he uses those skills to create fully-functioning replicas from all sorts of media: movies, TV shows, comic books and yes, manga. These range from practical things like Gimli's bearded axe from Lord of the Rings, to the utterly impractical, such as the klingon Bat'leth from Star Trek, to the utterly ridiculous, such as the Diamond Sword from Minecraft, pixellated and everything.

In this case? He's creating a replica of Zangetsu, which is up there with the freaking Buster Sword in terms of practicality. And he wanted it to be fully functioning and wieldable by one person. So without further ado, here's Man at Arms.

So we thus find the real reason Zaraki does not want to be around Unohana.

Friggin' bait.

oh man, Unohana is hot with her hair down and not psychotic

Huh, that works a hell of a lot better than the stupid thing his bankai blade turned into when he used his last attack there.

Having the dead Arrancar reappear as Shinigami could have been interesting...

100 Years Later Hitsugaya. I wouldn't be surprised if the manga's epilogue actually took place that far ahead.

He does good work. :sisi:

If only Chad had met this guy instead of Nnoitra.

To clarify, that's Ginjo.

Why couldn't he have looked like that?

Hm, seems familiar. Is that the pose she made when she was released from Riruka's toy? It looks like she got stripped and dressed by a pervert in the blink of an eye (*cough*Ma Kensei*cough*).

And not a fuck about Aaroneiro was given that day.
Or any day, before and after!

In fact, I'm kinda wondering if all that's left of him is that puddle.

A bunch of those pictures seem rather random, like "Well ok, theres a bunch of things that are circled in red, but I'm not sure why."

For instance... the third one. I do not see what it is referencing, other then Orihime has looked sad more then once in the manga.

Yeah, some of them really should be clearer. The third one is saying, I think, that the line from the earlier chapter is being thought by the later Orihime, one who had painfully realised how much Rukia meant to Ichigo in comparison to herself. I believe she has that naked scene with Rangiku later.

1) A collection of all appearances of the arrancar prior to the SS arc (in-universe too such as Aizen meeting Barragan).

2) Implies that Tsukishima used to be Unohana's lieutenant which got debunked (hence my reincarnation comment).

4) Implying that Ichigo has a constant release bankai when its released.

5) Just tracking the timeline of the quincy arc.

6) Showing what might have been going through Ichigo's head and making a parallel between him and Aizen.

7) The blonde killed in the Quincy arc was shown in the SS arc.

8) Foreshadowing of Quincy heritage with the Quincy crest (supposedly).

9) Ichigo's power being awoken by a foreign version coming into contact with it has happened before.

10) Rukia and Ichigo's story parallels Masaki and Isshin's.

11) Romantic symbolism between Ichigo, Rukia and Orihime. Said symbolism backs up Rukia and Orihime gets the short straw.

12) Another dude introduced in the SS arc and appears later.

13) Showing that the bloody mark on Ichigo's face is similar to the one on his previous mask.

14) The implication that something had been done to Orihime. Nothing came off it.

15) Showing how the hell Aizen kept track of Ichigo's activities.

16) Implying that Shutara was an important scientist. Possibly during the last century.

17) 1000 Year War = Romeo and Juliet.

I think the best on the list was the 10th, with the parallels between Ichigo and Isshin and their women. That's a cool connection I had not made.

It's kinda sad so many of these connections feel so obtuse- Almost like Kubo was really trying to foreshadow a lot of stuff or make clear connections between events, but he just didn't do a good job of it.

To be frank, Bleach is the one series where I'm hoping there WON'T be a romantic subplot. Largely because the Arrancar superarc pretty much wrecked the shit out of the story and killed most everything there was to Bleach. The Fullbring arc could have repaired the damage, but then Tite just nixes the one character that might have been able to do something with that boat after a whole lot of floundering in the time after Ichigo got restored to normal by Rukia.

Yet. We just had Ichigo's Quincy heritage come out; while it'd be late as hell and probably not make a damn lick of difference now, Orihime being revealed as some Arrancar experiment of Aizen's or something could still happen.

Granted, Tite could have been angling on about Orihime's feelings, but what the fuck would Hollow dudes know about that? And for the matter, why would Grimmjow care?

I think it's because we're putting a round peg into a sort-of-but-not-quite-round hole. The Ichigo/Rukia comparisons were artificially generated with Aizen manipulating things from beginning to end, while Isshin/Masaki was a freak accident that somehow managed to work out despite the odds against them. In short, the Ichigo/Rukia scenes didn't have any sort of choice, while Isshin/Masaki scenes did have choices. Hence, the former doesn't feel like it's truly relatable to the latter as it's a forced upon creation that was meant to fulfill a dark purpose and ultimately doesn't mean anything since there was never a true followup of what the first generation had.

I was indeed thinking something like "But since Aizen's still in the game..." Could make for a nice surprise.

I forget; how much did Aizen engineer? I thought that Aizen's involvement only started from the point he sent a Menos Grande since he only discovered that Rukia had the Hogyoku sometime after she was missing. He didn't send Rukia or make her lose her power, right? That's the SS arc explanation anyway, I don't remember whether he changed that in the Arrancar arc.
