At first, it was just an idea that would hopefully encourage others to propose ideas and Wata could pick from those. However, now that violinmana has reacted so, I hope Wata makes this the topic.

What about "Time's Running Out"?

In honor of the last week of July and therefore the last real, unbridled week of summer before the hurry of school sets in, write a story about time running out. Is everyone happy and smiling, enjoying it, or are they nervously watching the calendar/clock?

This could go funny, sad, sweet, or epic, but isn't too vague. Please Wata, anything but "Family"!

How about IF 5 scores, hm? I know I didn't spend a few hours reading and scoring the entries to just have them discarded like a piece of rotten pie.

And I guess you could take the authors into account as well, I mean they DID write those entries for YOUR contest. I guess the least you could do is show them some common courtesy and hold up to your end of the bargain, ne?
