Looking for DM and Players for an Online 3.5

As I read more and more of the rules the ranger seems more and more awesome. I could probably hit something 40 yards away!

There's just one problem so far. Aside from LR's paladin, we're lacking any sort of healing class.

And my AC is 14 because of a Leather (+2) and Small Wooden Shield (+1), I just edited without making any comment. I also choose a battle-axe for a weapon, and Orc for my third language.

Any suggestions on the Feats, language, or items?

wait, how many bonus languages do I get? Oh and I suggested going ranger/cleric cus we need a healer and I am not penalized for my extra class(Half-Elf RULES).

Except you would need twice as much XP to level as the rest of us, and can you multiclass in the first level?

thats the kicker I wouldnt need twice as much XP. Half-elf racial bonus. Im not sure I can multiclass now but I am a nub so Im asking XD.

If I'm reading it right that only applies to the -20% XP penalty when you have a class more then 2 levels above another.

But you would be considered a Level 2 character and thus would need to get 2000 (maybe 3000) XP before you level while the rest of us only need to get 1000 XP.

that would be fine, since I also got lvl 1 cleric spells wouldnt it? Plus I have to wait to get to lvl 2 to add a second class ANYWAY. So youll have to make do without a proper healer till I gain a lvl. Or just use LR's paladin.

Oh and wow do I feel like an idiot, heal doesnt actually restore hp in combat. I can stabilise, cure poison, and do long term care. Why does that seem useless to me?

Edit 2: My giddiness towards this campaign is steadily decreasing as I continue to read the rules. My enthusiasm however, is untouched.

I don't really have any particular advice on those areas, sorry.

Since you're a dragon shaman, which is a fairly specialized class, there's not much that's geared specifically towards your class outside of the PHB2. Hence, you'll find a lot of the most useful material there. Beyond that, it's just pick things that are good for your particular type of character.

I figured this would just be an hour or two session while we gt used to OpenRPG and found out the basic story, maybe a fight or two, s it shouldn't clash too much with 4th of July plans.

Hm, I'm at Anime Expo this Saturday, and a friend's house after that for the 4th. The Convention Center does have internet, though, so I could use that if we do it sometime between around 3-4. Almost finished with rolling up my Character, I'll edit my post when I'm done.

OpenRPG does let you roll up characters, though it's taking me a while <_< , and it comes with its own dice rollers embedded.

... do you use the creature template half-dragon or is their another half dragon i'm supposed to add, i don't want to have to re-roll this thing, it's taking long enough as it is since i'm reading the rules while making it.

Also i may or may not have lucked out on my height and weight rolls, but the entry was kinda vague, if base height is 4' 10" and i roll a 20 is the result 6' 10"?

And do you have to select a deity?

Unless you choose a class that requires a deity such as cleric, paladin, Chosen you don't need a patron deity.

Also it would be 4 feet 10 inches + 20 inches so 6 foot 6 inches (6'6")

And are we allowed to use templates?

ok so that put height at 6,6 and weight at 240, assuming i did that right.

Second are any dnd deity's allowed, like the forgotten realms ones or just the the ones on the core pantheon list, because one of the top deity's i wanna pick is Ilmater, also is picking a lawful good deity acceptable for a chaotic good character?

And that question on half dragons hasn't been answered.

Ok, as an idiot I just found out about the 3.5 Character Creaor, but it doesn't seem to have any classes or armors, or weapons. Do any of you know how to fix it? I already looked through all the OpenRPG sites...

<s>...The rule thing i was linked doesn't say, so how do you set Abilities scores and saves. Roll ___ x__ blah blah blah. EDIT: Okay i tried looking it up and have so far found about eight different ways to roll up stats, i need help now.

And i'm just gonna go pure human, im not patient enough to do all the extra calculation adding half dragon would need.

Also incase my thing gets deleted. Ill edit this post to have the stats i have finished so far.</s>
