Probably the original character Leifeld is adding to the cast.

You'd have thought comic companies would have learned their lesson by now, and stopped hiring him at all. I mean, his Teen Titans 2 issue run (pre-Infinite Crisis) wasn't even collected in the trades. That's a sign, right there.

How does he keep getting work?

My understanding is that the general fan consensus is that Liefeld has some Grade A blackmail on somebody high up. He knows where possibly metaphorical bodies are buried or something.

Read the latest Spider-man.....you know what I am starting to think life was easier when Peter was living hand to mouth. Seriously this new company is bringing him more headaches on a daily basis. Villains (like Mr. Negative) keep trying to use his company and it's resources for their own ends...making their operations a magnet for the strange and the crazy. I am honestly starting to think he might need to talk with Stark about dealing with this crap.

I'm generally not one for comics and such, my only real exposure to Marvel stuff being the MCU, but I figured I should bring this to you guys' attention.

It's more SJW nonsense, but this has to be seen to be believed.  It's... pretty bad.

This guy is an idiot. This is clearly a gag making fun of the very thing he's bitching about. It's so obvious I can't even give him the benefit of Poe's Law to defend this.

Even if it's not funny, it's just a topical pop culture joke directed at SJWs. They can't all be winners, but it's pretty obvious that was the point, especially given the first words out of Bor's mouth would trigger any SJW right off the bat. They aren't censoring what he's saying to cater to them, it's a gag making fun of that sort of mentality in a self referential way while keeping it decent enough to keep the rating from being mature.

Angela is a better feminist than any SJW to begin with and has been since the 90s when she was introduced in Spawn. She's the literal embodiment of independent feminine strength and girl power and has zero fucks to give about what anyone thinks about it. On top of that, she's always been pretty fluid sexually, so that's not a new thing either. She and Gamora got along so well for this exact reason.

The comic has had a snarky and tongue in cheek sense of humor about it since they brought the character over from Spawn. It's worth pointing out that she's been pretty closely tied to GotG recently and gags like this are consistent with the tone of the other characters she associates with. She's not Deadpool or anything, and she's often the straight woman in the situation, but this kind of gag isn't out of place in her comic at all.

This is a pointless rant from someone just isn't getting the joke, it's too far over his head. This isn't worth wasting your time listening to. He doesn't really have a clue what he's talking about.

Also note how the narrator of the book is SERA, who keeps breaking the 4th wall and shouldn't be taken seriously anything related... like the "censure" of Bor's words.

Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan have been cast in roles for GotG 2.

If Russell isn't playing Starlord's dad I'll be very disappointed in Gunn.

Kind of hoping that despite reports that Gunn says otherwise, that it's J'Son and that it's just Hollywood BS and misdirection behind him saying it's not going to be him. Russell would be perfect for the part.

I get that he doesn't like J'Son, but that's kind of the entire point of the character. You're not supposed to like him, he's supposed to be a dick of the highest order and a stark contrast to Starlord. Spartax is Intergalactic North Korea and that's kind of important to Quill's place in the galaxy and part of the reason he is how he is.

I wouldn't be angry if it was Adam Warlock or something, but it's a missed opportunity if they don't cast Russell in that role.

Honestly, if there's ever a situation where the studio should take the director aside and tell him "No, you have to do this right," this is one of them.

Spartax isn't intergalactic North Korea, it's actually competent. It's full of assholes and has an absolute ruler who's a total ass, but the Spartoi are actual peers of the other Cosmic Polities like the Shi'ar and the Kree. Hell, they generally do better than most because their homeworld hasn't been annhilated like the Kree and Skrull ones.

Kurt Russel is IMHO too old to play Adam Warlock.
Maybe he'll be the Grandmaster?

I could see it. He's not as built as he was back in the day (admittedly, he was never BIG, like so many action stars are today), so he could pull it off. Now if he was to play one of the other Cosmic Elders, that might be a problem. (IE, the Gamesmaster.)

You know, aside from Russel, I have no idea who any of these people are. Wikipedia, here I come!

Adam Warlock needs to be relatively young for the part. He's Cosmic Suicide Jesus, so somebody who could play a 33-or-so years old would be the best.

Possibly somebody who can sport well a giant afro or ponytail.

When did Adam Warlock have a giant afro?! I remember the short hair, Infinite Gauntlet version, but that's it...

Magus had an Afro and then a Ponytail, and he's supposed to look like Adam Warlock but purple and black instead of orange and gold.

Dunno if they're going to go that route with Warlock in the movies. I guess they could have Thanos as the big bad in Infinity War part I, and then have Magus do his thing in Part II, but that gets a bit weird, maybe too weird for the movie U.

Would be  cool, but I have my doubts we'll see Magus or Goddess on the big screen anytime soon. Infinity War gets very esoteric and philosophical once Adam splits up and he spends most of the series talking to himself as I recall. That works great for a comic, but would probably drag a movie down a bit.

They might pull it off with the right writing, but I'm guessing they'll probably sidestep it in the interest of keeping the movie length at a reasonable runtime and keeping the pace up.

... It's like an albino joined the Brady Bunch during their final season. ... Only worse!
