Going by Aria of Sorrow, Alucard was going under the moniker of Genya Arikado by that time, and no longer wore the medieval look. He dyes his hair black, and wears a suit.

Sorry, haven't been keeping up. :sweat2:

Well, if you enjoyed Symphony of the Night, I'd recommend you give Aria of Sorrow (GBA) a try. Similar gameplay, with its own twist. It, and its DS sequel Dawn of Sorrow mark the series chronology's (current) final two titles.

Eh...this is something I'd like to see, while not being entirely certain of being able to pull it off myself. Basically...

After having acquired max social links...Minato is dead. A series of short pieces from the perspectives of the people he'd come to know, both as they discover his death, and as they visit his gravestone.

The Fool Arcana and the Judgment Arcana are both SEES, and Priestess, Empress, and Lovers are Fuuka, Mitsuru, and Yukari, so...they would have been there on the rooftop. Unless you expand this to have taken place after FES, which I haven't played yet, in which case it would be after they'd all realized that they couldn't bring back Minato...and throw in Aeon for Aegis.

The Magician, Emperor, Justice, Chariot, Strength, Fortune, and Moon Arcana...or Kenji, Hidetoshi, Chihiro, Kazushi, Yuko, Keisuke, and Nozomi all attend your school, so...I would imagine that they would all find out at about the same time. And, of course, the Hermit social link, or 'Maya', is your composition teacher...though, this would preferably be after whatever thing I've heard happens in FES regarding her finding out that you were 'Tatsuya'...

The Hierophant Arcana and the Devil Arcana, or Bunkichi and Mitsuko, along with President Tanaka might not hear about it for quite some time...after all, Bunkichi and Mitsuko might well think you're busy doing something else, hence you not visiting...and President Tanaka cut off ties on his own. Hence, unless they notice you in the obituaries, or someone mentions it to them...it could be a bit.

The Hanged Man, Temperance, Tower, and Star Arcana, or Maiko, Bebe, Mutatsu, Mamoru all, as I recall, all moved or left...Maiko to live with her mother, Bebe to go to France to try and convince his relative to allow him to come back, Mutatsu in order to track down his estranged son, and Mamoru for his new job. Hence, they probably wouldn't find out for quite some time...but, on the other hand, Maiko and Bebe both have compelling reasons to want to check up on you later, since Maiko wants to marry you, and Bebe considers you to be a really close friend. Mamoru would probably also want to eventually get in touch with you again, I'd imagine, and Mutatsu would probably want to check in with you once he tracked down his family and made up with them...

The Death and Sun Arcana, ie, Pharos/Ryoji and Akinari...would definitely be the oddball ones. Ryoji is part of Nyx, and thus sealed away...but there could certainly be a section with him perhaps regaining consciousness for a bit, or at least whatever small part of Ryoji that is inside Nyx, and his thoughts on Minato and his sacrifice. Akinari is...well, at the end, a ghost. So...I think there could be something done with that, perhaps his spirit visiting the seal at some time, or just even haunting his grave, knowing more than most of what had really happened to you...

Tears shed, reflections on what Minato meant to each of these people, memories, and perhaps even their reactions to each other...to a certain extent. Though, I'd, uh, personally prefer to avoid catfights, given that you would have become pretty close to Yukari, Mitsuru, Fuuka, Chiziro, and Yuko...

Well, just a thought, and I still have some social links of my own to complete (Priestess, Empress, Moon), and FES to play (see the epilogues and Aeon)...but, well, it's something I'd like to see, sometime. Not something humorous, just...people coming to terms in their own different ways.

Thoughts? :mellow:

While your idea is nice, I just can't quite care for it. Probably because it doesn't have anything chaotic in it I suppose.

Probably better than my off the top of my head idea of course.

My Idea? Well give the hero of P3 to not only house the Arcana who is the harbringer of Nyx, but carry around an Onyx Blade that carries the certain soul of a "Master of Death".

Persona 3 cast, meet Gig.

Unfortunately, Gig can't talk from inside the onyx blade. He has to get shoved into someone's head.

But this would be awesome. Gig makes everything awesome.

With the obvious connection, this is pretty much the definition of COMEDY GOLD.

Minato still gets Death sealed into him, but a different Death: Gig.

It would basically lead to(when the situation is dire enough) Minato's hair turns white, his power shoots through the roof, and he starts yelling obscenities while killing the hell out of everything and being as blatantly and rudely arrogant as possible while doing so.

EDIT: And yes, while I actually found the game itself kind of boring battle-system wise, Gig alone makes it more than worth the play through.

DOUBLE EDIT: It would probably work better as a gradual transition to arrogant asshole as more power is drawn in battle(going back to normal afterwards), but I'm putting way too much thought into a crazy one-off idea.

Gig would probably be angry enough about there not being any hotpods that he'd be able to talk just to voice his displeasure.

Also, does that mean the World Eaters would show up? Because one thing is fighting Shadows, another is fighting a monster that can level the whole town in one shot if it wants to...

Given that the "Arcana" shadows were actually linked to Death, you could probably replace them with "lesser" World Eaters, who are still completely overkill but not in the continent-destroying sense.

I just find the idea that Minato's had an incredibly crass voice hanging around in his head for ten years to be endlessly amusing. Gig can be surprisingly sentimental, so he probably wouldn't want to kill/take over Minato after that long, but that won't exactly stop him from being a colossal jackass to everyone else.

WAY too much thought.

Gig is sentimental in the same way that you'd be towards a pet who's served you well, to be fair.

And even when the female protagonist professes her love in the Gig ending, he's got an ego the size of a couple planets. :p

I still maintain that the cycle of life in the word wasn't broken by Vigilance getting killed, but by Gig's ego taking away all the space in it. Even sealing him didn't free all that space up. :rofl:

I was mainly thinking of his "final moments" in the main story, where he gets surprisingly sappy(for Gig) and then proceeds to kick absolute ass. Gig's ego IS an unstoppable force of nature, however. :snigger:

It would be highly entertaining if Pharos took the form of Gig's heavily repressed positive emotions, though.

"We'll be friends forever!"

Kill it!

That Castlevania/P3 xover idea gave me an idea...
Dracula's being sealed in the solar eclipse, and thus his end, was in 1999, as was Death's being sealed in Minato. My idea was that the moment Aigis sealed Death, Dracula was sealed away too, and his power went to Minato...
In other words, Minato not only was Persona-power, but the "power to rule". In other words, he is a viable candidate to become the next Dark Lord.

Oh gods... combine Castlevania and Tartarus with Death and Dracula's powers... Now thaaaaat's scary.

Yeah... In fact, the moment Tartarus is first visited, it turns into Castelvania...and besides gaining Personas fromf allen foes, he gains soul powers. The power will be tempting, and instead of choosing to kill Ryoji or not, Minato would've to choose between challenging his fate, or becoming Dracula. A younger Juilus could also appear in this as well.

Hmm, I was just randomly pondering...I remember awhile back, we were talking about that Kingdom Hearts might have been like if, instead of Final Fantasy and Disney, it was Final Fantasy and Jim Henson. So, I thought to myself...what would Kingdom Hearts have been like if it was Final Fantasy and Shounen Jump?

Of course, the obvious question would be, what would be the equivalent of Mickey Mouse's world, the core world, the manga that pretty much made Shounen Jump big, just like Mickey Mouse and friends were the ultimate origins of Disney? I mean, if it was just manga in and of itself, it'd probably be Astroboy, but for Shounen Jump? Mazinger Z and Getter Robo came out in the seventies, though how influential they were is hard to judge. Dragonball would probably qualify, having come out in the eighties, and still being fairly influential this day...more television series, games, and other such things related to it still continue to be released, it seems...though, I'm unsure of how well that would work out, unless we really ramped up the power of the Heartless. Then again, they have the potential to be taking over vastly more powerful entities in the first place...

If we took the Dragonball route, presumably Goku would take on a role similar to that of King Mickey...which has some interesting potential, I suppose, with Goku as the ruler of a kingdom. Who in Dragonball, then, is closest to being a wizard, ie, the Donald analogue, and a loyal protector, ie, the Goofy analogue? One could make a decent argument for Krillin being the Goofy analogue...but Donald? Honestly, no idea who would fit well with that...Chiaotzu, maybe? I doubt Fortuneteller Baba would be too useful, since she doesn't seem to have much in the way of offensive abilities...

And, of course, there would be plenty of Shounen Jump worlds to explore...various worlds that've been corrupted and such. But yeah, anyways...thoughts? Worth doing?

Oh god. Imagine the crack trip that it would be when the heroes have to go through Bobobo Bo Bo-bobo's world.
Alice in Wonderland ain't got shit on that.

And yes, Neuro makes a perfect replacement for Fantasia's Wizard. (Yen Sid, they named him for KH2. For shame.)

Aizen Sousuke = a spot-on perfect final boss.

Perhaps that means Ichigo could be the Keyblade wielder?

Hmm, I'd actually thought it would still be Sora...but you could definitely replace him with a protagonist from another series. Of course, to make it appropriate, we'd have to have a rival/best friend and a girl from the same series, unless we just want to go whole hog in the divergence.

And there's plenty of possible series...Fist of the North Star (...Heartless Raoh?), Saint Seiya, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (WRYYYYYYYY!!!), Bastard!!, YuYu Hakusho, Ultimate!! Hentai Kamen (it must be done!), DNA?, Rurouni Kenshin, Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san, Hoshin Engi, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, HunterxHunter, Shaman King, Black Cat, Bobob?bo B?bobo (as much as I don't like the show, it does make a good alternate version of Alice in Wonderland), Bleach, Buso Renkin, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, D.Gray-Man, Majin Tantei N?gami Neuro (which I insist on), Mx0, Blue Dragon Ral?Grad, Hitomi no Catoblepas, Belmonde Le VisiteuR, Psyren, Nurarihyon no Mago, Double Arts, and many more...though, obviously, all of them couldn't be incorporated. Unless this was obscenely long, I suppose...though, there's plenty of room for cameos and such, since they could pop up in our alternate version of Transverse Town as refugees and as various summons.

One thing I would like to change is the possibilities that multiple worlds presents. For the most part, it seems, only villains were interested in other worlds, while the vast majority of the rest of the cast, unless their world had actively been destroyed by Heartless...and even then, they mostly seemed to stay in Transverse Town. Gummi Ships have so much possibility...I'd like the main character to possibly be the person finding new worlds...but with at least some people choosing to perhaps accompany the main character, or others wanting to go to our analogue of Transverse Town so they could build their own Gummi Ships and explore on their own, or even choosing to migrate to a world they feel they fit better in...whether a wilder one or a calmer one or whatever.

1.) Go play Jump! Super Stars. Now.

2.) Go play Jump! Ultimate Stars. Now.

Is that what the idea Luthorne proposed is? Not in the least. But it gives us a framework.

Firstly, the King. To hell with Goku, we have the freaking Jump Pirate. Who *is* a character in J!US, just as the narrator, tutorial guy.

Next: keep Sora. I happen to like the kid. As for Destiny Islands; throw 'em out. Earth (and the Moon) are stages in J!US.

Party members: Goofy->Luffy (get it!?!). Their personalities are similar enough for there to be references to the original game, plus Luffy is more fun to write than Goku and his fail-h4x. Donald->I'm thinking either Muhyo or Alan Walker. Muhyo can be a fun character, but if this is really a three man party, than we can't have Roji. Other suggested Magician types?

We cannot have Muhyo without Roji. It is not right.

Now, for Merlin. I agree: Roshi is a great substitute. If we wanted to be really obnoxious, we could have his Jackie Chun persona be Yen Sid.

For Neuro, two words: Chesire Cat.

While we should have dimensional analogues, I think we ought to write our own overarching storyline instead of relying completely on the games. I.E., we keep Ansem, but get rid of the Organization. My problem with most Kingdom Hearts/anything fusions is that the stories always read like copy-pasta'd Kingdom Hearts novelizations.

Originality=good. In the spirit of keeping some things the same, I say we think about what worlds are most likely to survive Heartless assault, and would still be around when Sora comes through. Remember: strength isn't everything. The Darkness can latch onto the heart of even the strongest warrior.

"Um... er... BZZZZT dood! BZZZZT! BZZZZT! Oh no doo-!"

Grumbling, Laharl rolled back over, wrapping himself up in the covers. Damn did charred Prinny smell bad. But they were cheaper than alarm clocks. With that thought, Laharl drifted back to sleep, though not so deeply as he had been.

"Laharl! Laharl!" A voice intruded on his sleep, seemingly just a few seconds after he'd fallen back under, "Breakfast is ready, Laharl!" He sniffed the air. Breakfast was indeed ready. And it smelled delicious, no less. With a flip of his legs he was sitting on the edge of the bed, his hair instantly snapping back into his usual <s>ridiculous</s> hairdo.

"Good morning, Flonne-chan." He said blearily, then, on impulse, he grabbed her shoulders and lead into a sweeping dip, giving her a thorough kiss on the lips, "Are you breakfast?" He asked, grinning. She fwapped him on the shoulder with a hand, giggling.

"No, Laharl, breakfast is in the kitchen." He gently stood her up, hesitating a bit, as though he was thinking of having her anyway, which generated another giggle. They walked to the kitchen, hand in hand.

"Good morning, Laharl!" Etna said, pulling off her apron.

"Good morning, Papa!" Chorused a pair of little demons seated on one side of the table.

"Good morning." Laharl replied, letting Flonne loose to get the food as he took his seat at the head of the table. Marley and Samantha quickly continued what he presumed they had been doing before: Samantha was trying to mess up Marley's <s>ridiculous</s> awesome hairdo with her tail and Marley was trying to flip one of her wings inside-out.

"Jeez, you two." Laharl started at his children, who looked at him immediately, "If you're going to mess with someone, you have to learn how to be subtle. It's ten times more satisfying if they can't figure out who did it, or at least can't prove it."

"Hai, Papa-san!" they replied, somewhat cheekily he thought. What were they...? Flonne and Etna interrupted his musings by setting the food on the table. But as they took their own seats, something went wrong.

"pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt!" "YEEEEEEEEEE!"

Disbelievingly, Flonne and Etna stood, pulling the whoopee cushions out of their chairs and staring at the now bloody thorns sticking out of them.

Samantha counted off the cue on her fingers: 3... 2... 1...

"UEHEHEHEHEHEH!" Daughter, father, and son laughed synchronously.

"MARLEY!" One began.

"SAMANTHA!" The other continued.

"LAHARL!" They chorused together.

"Okay kids, on the count of three we run, one, two..." Laharl said in a stage whisper, pausing on two to glance at the empty chairs where his children used to be, then at the open door where their forms faded down the hall, "YOU UNGRATEFUL BRATS, LEAVING YOUR OLD MAN TO TAKE YOUR PUNISHMENT!" He called, already behind them, the terrifying pair of she-devils on his heels.

"Marley, Samantha, could you sit down? Class is about to begin."

"Er... thanks, we'll stand." Marley answered.

"Why... Er... Laharl-sama? What is our venerated Overlord doing here?"

"Mff mffa mf." Laharl answered. He did not want to explain how he ended up lashed to a stool with a dunce hat on his head. Nor did he want to be moved: his plans of vengence needed concentration after all.

And then, with a bare exertion of will, the world shattered.

The succubus in front of Laharl started before she dissolved into a fine spray of blood, courtesy of his sword.

"Laharl-san, are you all right?" Flonne asked, peering around to his front as he let his sword drop and stood silently.

"Yeah, Renka, what was that?" Etna carried the question, having only seen a bright flash of light in the instant before Laharl demolished the enemy.

"It was nothing." Laharl said after a minute, shaking his head and still looking a bit shaken, "Just a little illusion." But could it be a reality? He asked himself.

~~~
Was thinking of those tricky 'Your Perfect World' illusions, I'm sure you've seen them in this anime and that. Then this scene just came to me. Laharl and his kids doing his signature laugh together just made me lulz and DAWWWW at the same tiime.
Sounds about right, except there's no Gordon scrubbing toilets. Laharl's Dream World wouldn't be complete without that.
Also, I doubt he'd trust Etna to cook. They'd all rather the Prinny Squad do it, I think.
Nitpick:
It's "Denka". ??. "Your Highness".
Ah. Always sounded like an R to me, and the game translates it as "Prince" so... yeah. Thanks for the info. And that was just a quick idea I had. But yeah, it would probably include those things.
