Vivio was just glad that Kris was with her, though, she had to worry, she hadn't known her device to have weapons like that.

It probably got the idea from hanging around Vita and Wendi too much.

Ah. So that means Force follows along the lines of the Sound Stages, whereas ViVid doesn't.

From what I've seen in Vivid, Vivio says her mother is still a TSAB official. That would imply that at most Nanoha has retired from field work (Possibly still working as a trainer). There's no real reason why Nanoha couldn't end up returning to field work later on. Remember, people keep telling her to stop pushing herself to her absolute limits for medical reasons, and she keeps doing it at the end of every case anyway. Having her just as a teacher would enable her to maintain her health better.

The Nanoha timeline goes more like this officially...

Nanoha (Nanoha and Fate are 9 years old)
As happens six months later
six years after the events in As, Nanoha and Fate save Subaru and Ginga respectively while on Vacation. (Nanoha and Fate are 15)
Four years later, StrikerS happens. (Nanoha and Fate are 19 and Vivio is 4)
Two years (IIRC) Sound Stage X happens
Four years after THAT is when ViVid happens (Vivio is 10 years old)
Two years later is Force.

I believe that's correct, I'd have to double-check.

The reason that Vivid is considered an AU and Force the main story is because both are being written at the same time and the guys behind Nanoha just wanna make sure that they don't get continuity errors as the stories progress.

I'm pretty sure Force is six years after StrikerS, which would be four years after Sound Stage X. Given your timeline, Force and ViVid are happening roughly the same time.

Edit: Okay, ViVid, in like the first page states that this takes place 4 years after StrikerS.

And Force happens SIX years after StrikerS.

Year 78 - Sound Stage X
Year 79 - ViVid
Year 81 - Force

Nove and Wendi raised their hands, trying to disassociate themselves with any crime in this incident. Their eyes widened with horror as they saw the little girl cheerfully cry out "Nanoha-mama! Fate-mama!" and rush into the arms of two of the most renowned field agents the TSAB had.

"We didn't know she was your kid! We didn't do anything to her! We were just trying to get her home!" Nove cried out.

"She destroyed all our relics! She crippled the Professor! She threatened to do even more damage if we didn't take her back to her mothers! Could you please just take her and let us go?" Wendi pleaded.

"She did all that?" Fate asked, with awe in her voice.

Nanoha looked down at the four year old girl. "Alright, little one, let's go home. You're definitely a Takamachi."

Honestly, I'm not sure wherefrom this spouted but I got the urge to write this scene while sleep deprived, coming off a caffeine high hunched over my laptop. I seem to have wanted to explore Hayate a bit more. It's definately not the soundest idea, I had wanted to write a fight scene but... couldn't think if anyone that I would let Hayate actually wail on without it being a curbstomp. Any comments on writing style would be appreciated, rereading over some of what I wrote seems to be a tad awkward to me.

Hayate sighed morosely as she set the heavy crystal tumbler in her hand, recently emptied of the whiskey inside from its latest journey to her mouth. Barely melted ice clinked softly as she poured more alcohol into the glass. The sight of a 16 year old drinking herself to a stupor would have set off alarm bells to anyone watching but she sat alone in the living room of her house, surrounded by thin beams of sunlight peering through the blinds. Dull eyes flickered over to the wall mounted clock, idly noting the dancing of dust motes highlighted by the sun.
öJust gone four oÆclock, guess I missed school again,ö she mused, a wry smile playing over her lips. öMaybe, just maybe, this time travel thing wasnÆt really worth it.ö

She hadnÆt really thought about what she would do if the spell had actually worked, the very fact that it did gave high praise to her magic prowess. Against all odds, Yagami Hayate was back in the past, and wondering fervently, just what madness had seized her. Repeating the mistakes of Al-Hazard was utter folly. She hissed softly as she took another sip of her beverage. öThe reality of mortality makes fools of us all I suppose.ö

Hayate had risen high in the ranks of the TSAB, eventually topping off as a General of the TSAB army. öThat path at least, is one that I would not walk again.ö She had had enough of politicking, backstabbing and paperwork for a lifetime. A small mocking grin graced her face then promptly vanished as she dwelt on her current situation. ôIÆm 16, my magic control is god awful, the TSAB will draft me by hook or crook since SS-rank mages donÆt grow on trees and..ö her mind drifted as she thought back on the three weeks that had passed since her arrival into the past. Going to school had been tedious and boring but had allowed her to float by on auto pilot, however seeing her friends, meeting crimson and cerulean eyes had brought back that old familiar pain. öTheyÆre already so in love with each other, even if they donÆt know or acknowledge themselves. I wonder what theyÆre doing now.ö The brunette had eventually not bothered going to school the past couple of days, staying inside her house alone.
She shook herself abruptly, shaking herself of those feelings even as a rush of memories threatened to overwhelm her. Taking a gulp of whiskey, she hunched over the table, staring as whiskey and ice swayed back and forth in a hypnotic motion, even as the patterns cut into the crystal tumbler refracted the light splaying over the table. Colours on a variation of a theme swirled around like a miniature storm. Hayate noticed a spot of moisture to the side of the glass, too far to be condensation or spillage.

*Plop*

Another drop airdropped beside it, her hand retraced its route and found a wet expanse of skin on her cheek. öIÆm crying?ö Silently she cursed herself, her emotional control not yet up to what had or will have been her legendary impassiveness. öDamnit, I swore I wouldnÆt cry, ever since... since then. I promised myself IÆd walk the path to my goal, with my head up high looking straight ahead. The past was something to learn from, regrets would only hold me down.ö
She calmed herself as she slowly ran her left hand through her brown tresses. Mentally she commanded the Tome of the Night Sky to display her official acceptance into the TSAB Academy. All she had wanted when was young in her first life was power, to change, to help and to protect. Thus she had chosen to join the TSAB. Yet when that power had been firmly in her grasp she found herself bereft of choices, a rogue SS-rank mage was NOT something the TSAB would suffer lightly. Nimble fingers flickered across holographic keys as she sent her reply, her denial of the life she had lead previously. With another set of strokes she enacted the new programming she had laboriously entered into her device over the past weeks, entering authorisation codes both physically and mentally. She severed the connection her Guardian Knights and Reinforce Zwei had to the device, essentially setting them free. They would adapt, and survive. They deserved a better life than to be endlessly pursued by the Bureau. Fingers tapped away smoothly as she sent another set of messages to what had been her Guardian Knights and Unison Device. They would undoubtedly be very unhappy with her.

The brunette grimaced as she drained her glass. She knew the Bureau wouldnÆt come after her immediately. The message transit time alone would delay them considerably and true its name, bureaucratic processes would impede a rapid response. Pushing her chair back as she stood up, she prepared to summon her armour. Just as the doorbell rang. Rolling her eyes at the timing, she ghosted towards the door.

Hayate abruptly yanked it open, conveying her feeling of displeasure with the action, a frown visually aiding the effect and just as suddenly froze as she noticed the rather startled expression of Fate Testarossa in the background and the worried slash angry face of Takamachi Nanoha in the foreground. "Aww crap, there goes the swift and easy exit option."

Subaru sighed as she and Tiana rode on the train towards Riot Force Six. Oh, she had no problems with what was going to happen, but she knew what was going to happen, she had done this countless times before. She really enjoyed training under Nanoha-san, Fate-san and Vita-san, but really, it got kinda lonely, being the only one who was stuck in this dammed time loop. Well, maybe she wasn't the only one stuck in the loops, she had a feeling that Nanoha, Fate and Vivio were in on the loops, but they never told her and she never could find a way to ask that didn't make her seem completely insane.

Maybe she was, but she could still recall those loops where Vivio accidentally killed Nanoha, those weren't fun, dammed Quattro. Subaru still took pleasure by turning her Vibration Shatter on that stupid bitch. Hell, she still hated the loop where Nanoha needed a cane to walk, that injury in that loop had been horrendous, it was a miracle that she could even move, much less use magic in that loop.

Though, she did have fun in those loops where she got to see all those Giant Robots fighting. She honestly had no idea that Mach Caliber could be used to power up GaoGaiGar, but she wasn't complaining. And she had learned a few new techniques from those loops.

As she and Tiana got off of the train, she stretched. She couldn't wait until tomorrow.

"Why are you grinning?"

"Just waiting for tomorrow!" Deep down, she really wanted to talk to someone who was in on the loops, just to talk about things. Hopefully Nanoha-san or Fate-san were in on the loops, she wanted to show them how much she had learned. Well, maybe there was a bit of ego to put into play too...

Subaru's eyes widened, she had expected Nanoha, Fate, Vita and/or Signum there. These four weren't those four. "Ano... Who are you?"

A man with black hair done up in a pigtail smirked at her. "I'm the Lightning Captain for the next year, Ranma Saotome. This is my Vice-Captain, Lina Inverse." The petite redhead next to him smirked and waved lightly at the group, her hand glowing as she juggled three small fireballs in one hand to keep from being bored. "The Stars Sqaud will be headed by Master Asia and his Vice Captain, Kenpachi Zaraki." An older man with his long gray hair braided up stepped forward and smirked at the group while a HUGE man with spikey hair and an eyepatch GRINNED at Subaru, Erio, Tiana and Caro.

For some reason, the sight of a man that size grinning and holding a sword really, really freaked Subaru out. 'This is going to be bad.' She thought. Subaru had a small inkling of how bad these four were, just a small one, but she had overheard Nanoha one time complaining about someone named "Ranma Saotome" putting her through the worst training she had ever gone through and coming out better for it. At the time, she had wondered who he was. Now? Now she was completely terrified.

Ranma smirked as he looked at the four. 'Hmm, I wonder if Anakin is getting annoyed by Yachiru yet?' He mentally shrugged, that wasn't important. "Anyway, welcome to Riot Force Six. Otherwise known to you four as Hell for the next year." He did wonder how everyone that got replaced was doing taking over for them this time.

Signum shook her head as her student got up again. "Idiot, attacking like that without a plan? And you call yourself the King of Hearts? More like the King of Idiots." Still, she did like the mecha she had gotten. Phalanx Arrow just... Felt right for some reason.

Fate looked at Rein on her shoulder and shook her head. "We really shouldn't be enjoying this so much."

Rein nodded and looked at the men on the ground, groaning. "I know, Fate-chan, but it's so much fun to beat these idiots up." The two of them shared a laugh.

Ikkaku groaned and sat up. "I liked the captain better when she wasn't using Lightning Kido on us all the time for screwing up." The others around him agreed with that sentiment. At least she had uncovered that plot that Aizen had cooked up. How she had known about it was anyone's guess.

Vita shook her head. At least this universe did have one good thing going for it. "This is good food!" She smiled at the cook. Everyone else was either an idiot or just tried to cause trouble.

"Well, I'm glad you like."

"It's too bad, Saotome, that you couldn't have a son."

"I know, but at least she's somewhat decent in a fight."

"...Graf Eisen!"

"Jawohl!" The hammer called as it transformed.

"You two... Are going to be SUCH stains on Graf Eisen when I'm done with you!"

"Saotome! Control your daughter!"

Walking into the room, Kasumi winced as she saw little Vita smash her father and uncle Genma around with that nice mallet of hers. Akane still wasn't the same after seeing the thing's "Gigant Form". She wondered if her sister had recovered in the nice place where the men in the white coats took her.

"STARLIGHT... BREAKER!" Nanoha screamed as Raising Heart blasted the creatures in front of her with its pink light. She smirked to herself, this world was so much fun to be in!

"OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Just as I expected from my side kick!" A very tall and VERY busty woman laughed as she watched Nanoha blow away enemy after enemy in a single stroke.

Nanoha's eye twitched, okay, MAYBE there was something in this world she could do without.

Hayate liked this world. She really did. Granted, she really didn't like that old counciller trying to manipulate her thoughts to go and kill everyone. She wondered how upset people would be if she tried to "befriend" Palpatine. At least learning how to control her powers better from Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Yoda was well worth it.

Especially if Palpatine decided to make his move.

She wondered if there was a core shaft she could throw him down.

She was an otaku, of COURSE she had seen Star Wars.
