Sakura is "The only student that the Fifth Hokage ever accepted..."? What's Shizune then, chopped liver?

Also, Sakura is "elite by birth as well..."? Does that mean her movie and anime exclusive ninja parents are canon now?

You gotta feel sorry for poor Konohamaru if he does try to give his students the bell test for real and not just in a gag manga, considering that Sarada and Boruto at least are monsters who are already way stronger than their parents were at the same age.

I'm guessing Shizune was more her student, like Jōnin Teacher/Genin Student relationship , while Sakura was a actual Master/Disciple relationship

After all, Shizune has a completely different fighting style

probably, but I think the translation is iffy and that part was referring to SALADA being elite by birth

And don't forget Luffy's bastard child

I'm most interested in the fact that Kono's parents are ANBU.

So Konohamaru's parents were the Third Hokage's right hands...I guess the fact that they never showed up ever was them doing their job right. Shame the Anbu Commander theory just got debunked.

Don't really get how Hinata's the Hyuuga Princess when she's now an Uzumaki and her sister was the heiress or whatever.

Hinata "stealing the role of heroine" while Sakura's a "self-proclaimed heroine" makes me laugh though.

Go away, Mitsuki.

I think the role of Anbu Commander has been removed along with Danzou.
Still, nepotism runs strong in the Sarutobi family.

"Princess" as "Hime" in context of influential\rich\powerful families simply means "daughter of the family head".
Both Hinata and Hanabi were "Hyuuga Princesses"

Hinata "stealing the role of heroine" while Sakura's a "self-proclaimed heroine" makes me laugh though.
This is probably the mangastream translators taking some liberties for laugh.

I just realized that Boruto tried to seduce-KO Konohamaru by transforming into his classmates' mothers in skimpy bathing suits. Including the mother of his teammate. That is so messed up.

So why weren't Konohamaru's parents at the meeting to choose a new Hokage Candidate then? Or ever appear or be mentioned at all? This is like a bad fanfic self-insert backstory.

Also yeah, nepotism. I never realized Hiruzen was so corrupt.

Bolt probably appreciate Sakura's ass, as Salada inherited it.

They were HIRUZEN's trusted Anbus.
Most likely, they WERE at the meeting to chose the new Hokage... the Fifth Hokage, that's it.

Another possibility is, they weren't actually "high" in rank, Shikaku outranking them and the Elders out-ageing them.

Also yeah, nepotism. I never realized Hiruzen was so corrupt.
Kind of spins a different light on the Uchiha rebellion, doesn't it?
Remember, the old bastard had a Special Jōnin training his grandchild specifically.

Of course, the in-story explanation is simply the fact that, by keeping teaching for themselves, children of strong ninja have more chances to become strong, as they have access to better training. This is even more pronounced for the clans.

Plot idea: Asuma survives and the Fire-Lord proposes HIM as Sixth Hokage because Danzou implanted the idea of "Hiruzen's methods failed", and the Daimyō was aware of Asuma not agreeing about many things with his father, and having been a Fire Guardian he has name and trust of the Nobles and Ninja alike

Meh, her ass wouldn't bring all the boys to the yard.

Not really...?

You have curious expectations.
Not my fault she learned the Secret Art: Hotness with Age.

Shoulda figured a relative of Naruto wouldn't see that...

The Sarutobis had a lot of power in Konoha, seeing that they've been longstanding allies of the Nara, Yamanaka, and Akimichi clans to the point they function as the masters of ceremonies for their children's rites to becoming chunin. And that was before Hiruzen was made Hokage.

And Madara was completely surprised that the clan of Sasuke Sarutobi would join the village. Hiruzen's father must have been a complete monster.

I think we vastly underestimate the pull the Sarutobi had in the village politics. They totally killed the Uchiha so THEY would be the best fire-users in the village.

No, they killed the Uchiha because the Uchiha had decided the best way to respond to years of suspicion and fear was to vindicate those suspicions and fears.

The Day Naruto Became Hokage

I would like to restate my belief that Himawari should have been Boruto's twin sister and a member of his team.
That's just hilariously adorable. Maybe Hinata's secret Yandere tendencies have mixed with Kushina's battle instincts.

Holy fuck, Himewari is fucking terrifying... damn.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that Hinat's left eye (page 7, down from the top) looks a little... off? Like Kishi kinda screwed up there? Maybe it's just the way her hair is drawn... :huh.:

Am I the only person who doesn't find Yandere Himawari cute or funny? Maybe if she's only focused on the actual source of her rage, but she attacks and seriously injures an innocent person who had nothing to do with what set her off and shows no remorse. And Boruto is seriously terrified that his father is never going to wake up. I just find the scene disturbing.

Past event. We can laugh at it, knowing everyone is okay after all.

Also, I wouldn't call her yandere; that child had clearly went berserk, focusing all her rage onto Boruto and seeing no one else as people, only "things in her way" which is scarily easy to do when you have X-Ray eyes.

Though re-reading, it's clear something triggered inside of Himawari, and not just a simple tantrum, either; Naruto senses something wrong and comes running the moment her switch flipped. Seeing that Naruto wasn't in any sensoring-type mode, that had to be something rather intense. Her manifesting the Byakugan was not expected, nor had anyone ever seen it before now, and given that these are Naruto's kids who most likely have Kurama's chakra running through their bodies, this might be the prologue to something much more serious.

Well they are second generation bijuu/jinchu. kids. That's bound to have consequences.

I can hear the NS crowd now, using this as "further proof" why NS should have happened. "There wouldn't have been any abnormalities had Naruto married Sakura and had kids with her!"
