found this on Vetus:

With Negi-kunÆs current magic power, what would happen if he sneezed? Will he blow away half the Earth?
Since it has a disarmament effect, it would blow away half the EarthÆs womanÆs clothing.

Discuss.

Eh, you realize that includes women most of us really don't want to see naked?

Crazy idea: Chisame doesn't actually need glasses. They're just there to fix a...problem she has. You see, when she's not wearing the glasses, Chisame sees lines. Lines covering everything. Once she ran a small butter knife along one of the "lines", and the object the line went through just...broke. Naturally, Chisame freaked. One day a pair of glasses, the ones she wears now, were left mysteriously at her bedside. Putting them on, Chisame was shocked and pleased to see the lines disappear. She never takes off the glasses except for showering and sleeping, and tries to never open them on those occasions. This way, she can imagine that she has a perfectly normal life, with no cracks in the world that look like they could fall apart at any moment.

Yes, Chisame has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.

Uh, issue: Chiu doesn't wear glasses, so either Chisame found a way around the whole glasses thing, or she just isn't Chiu...

She photoshops the glasses out of Chiu's pictures when she isn't cosplaying as a Meganekko.

Chisame didn't wear glasses when she was in the cosplay contest.

Bah. Ruin my fun, why don't you? Anyway, she could have contacts that are less effective, but essentially do the same thing.

...Yeah, that works.

Don't you just love it when obvious plot issues have simple solutions?

Question: the mind isn't meant to see the "lines of death" or whatever their technical name is called. Could Konoka heal Chisame's half-melted brain if she used the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception too much? Chisame might lose her glasses, or be forced into combat situations more often than not, causing her to use her Eyes a lot. Of course, she probably would try and hold off on telling anyone as long as possible about her...condition.

If you change it from the -beginning-, all those problems go away anyways.

I don't see how. She is still essentially Chisame, and everyone else is the same as usual...unless you mean that she has a hidden side (like Shiki Nanaya) that specializes in killing the fuck out of supernatural beings.

If Chisame was given special glasses that work do to unknown properties then she wouldn't have contacts.

Chisame wears glasses because she obviously has issues with her face.

You just love to ruin everyone's fun, don't you?

Edit: Anyway I had a very odd idea. Negi's "Charisma" (see harem) stems from a geas that causes women to fall in love with him. Only those with extreme cynicalness and/or powerful magic can resist it, and even then they will either go somewhat tsundere for him (Chisame), or treat him far nicer than they would otherwise(Evangeline, Princess of the Hellas Empire).

Negi may be unaware of this, but what would happen if one day the geas fades? What would be the girls' reaction when they find out that they no longer hold any affection for Negi? Sure there are probably one or two girls that are still infatuated with him, but those are few and far in between. Worse, what if they find out that their affection was the result of a geas?

Well, if they find out that Negi didn't cast the geas, they'll be more likely to go after the person who did cast it. So would Negi.

They're still pactio'd to him.

Mind you, geases generally don't 'fade'. They're part of your destiny, in Celtic myth, part of what makes you who you are.

Miscellaneous ideas topic.

LEss "fade" more "canceled/removed for one reason or another." Have it happen before the magic world arc and suddenly you have all of 3A wondering if the only reason they supported Negi was because of the Geas, with Negi himself having a BSOD thinking the same thing.

Miscellaneous ideas topic.

Hm. Not buying it, personally. With the exception of confirmed instant crushes (Ayaka, Makie, Nodoka) they all have fairly logical reasons for following him, even if it's no more than 'ADVENTURE!' Everything else has developed slowly and logically. I'm not saying you couldn't work it, mind you, but it wouldn't be as extreme an effect as you're thinking... if anyone even notices, since by the time it fades it may have been replaced by the real thing. (That could be another way to take it, actually, them finding out about it and the fading, and then realizing that in the time it's been gone nothing's changed.)

You could honestly work it easily with any weaker harem series, but with Negima, the character development goes into every confirmed harem member one way or another... and a good majority of the others are just along for the ride anyway.

Poor Eva-chan. She never met Nagi, the Thousand Master. She has never had anone care for her in the 600 years past her turning. Let's document the chronicles of Evangeline A.K. Mcdowell, Dark Evangel, Maga Nosferatu, Kitty and loli-grandma. Her life in the "modern world" without anyone having looked out for her.

An interesting AU idea, I think.

Crack idea to even the drama out: Haruna isn't the only troll out there. In fact, she was out-trolled by her very own classmate(though she doesn't know it), Chisame. You see, Chisame is the source of the infamous "I put on my robe and wizard hat" meme, where she was the one trolling the other person.

Here's an idea I had. Un-beta'd

ôNodoka Miyazaki, seat 27 of class 3-Aàam I right?ö Nodoka looked around in fear for the source of the voice, until she saw, standing on a light pole, a figure in a tattered cloak and a stereotypical witchesÆ hat. The blue-haired girl shivered, the full moon behind the figure triggering a memory. KakizakiÆs little speech: The vampire of Sakura Lane is a rumor dating back over 10 years. On the full moon, a vampire appears in the row of sakura trees near the dorms. This thought was quickly followed by EvangelineÆs comment in the baths. The rumors say the vampire loves cheerful, energetic girls like you. You should be careful, Kagurazaka-san~. Nodoka slowly took a step back in fear. ôYour blood is mine, girl!ö With a reveal of long fangs, the figure dived at Nodoka, the bookworm letting out a loud kyaaaaah!

ôRastel Maskil MagisterùSagitta Magicaö A dozen arrows of white magic flew at the vampire. ôGet away from my student!ö Negi Springfield shouted.

However, the vampire simply raised a hand. ôFrozen Barrierùreflectio. With that, the arrows simply shattered against a barrier in front of the vampire.

ôImpressive, senseiö the vampire now revealed to be Evangeline AK Mcdowell grinned. ôJust what IÆd expect, considering your progenitoràö she calmly licked a bit of blood off her finger, fangs clearly showing.

ôWhatùEvangeline? YouÆre the vampire of sakura lane?!ö Negi exclaimed disbelievingly. Evangeline simply inclined her head in acknowledgement. ôButàif youÆre a mage like meàö Negi began to protest. ôWhy are you attacking my students?ö

At this, Evangeline chuckled. ôHow na´ve. There are good mages and bad mages. The grin refused to leave her face. ôAs for why IÆm doing this.ö Negi looked eager. ôThatàis a secret.ö At this, Negi resisted the urge to facevault. ôIf you want to learn more, senseiàshe began. ôcome and catch me.ö At this, she rapidly flew away.

ôW-w-wait!ö the young teacher shouted as he looked at Nodoka, unsure of what to do with her. The sound of footsteps behind him caught his attention, and he turned around to see Asuna and Konoka running up behind him. Negi breathed a sigh of relief. As Asuna opened her mouth to demand what was going on, Negi quickly hefted the shy bookworm and charged a bit of magic, enhancing his physical abilities far beyond the norm. ôThe vampire is realùand it attacked Miyazaki-san!ö he turned around. ôIÆm going after her!ö Before the two could react, Negi rushed off, moving far quicker than the fastest Olympic sprinter.

ôEvangeline!ö Negi called out. ôIÆve got you trapped, now answer me-why did you attack Nodoka? ôWhat do you know about my father?!ö

ôHeh heh hehàö the blonde chuckled. ôYour fatheràthe Thousand Masteràö The chuckle turned into a laugh. ôDo you really think you have me cornered?ö While Negi sputtered a denial yes, you are!, a figure dropped down from the roof above them. ôWhy donÆt you meet my partner?ö Evangeline gestured. ôChachamaru Karakuri.ö

Another one? Negi thought disbelievingly. No choiceùIÆll have to get them both! ôRastel Maskil Magister, O Eleven spirits of air, come and bind my--! he was cut off by the green-haired robot rushing forward. The gynoid raised an arm to attack Negi and cut off his incantation, when a bolt of blue energy impacted her side, throwing Chachamaru to the tiles. Negi stopped his incantation in surprise.

ôWhat the--?!ö Evangeline was cut off as another bolt of blue shot out from the darkness, this one hitting the vampire and sending her into the wall leading up to a higher roof. She pushed herself up. ôWho daresùô two more bolts of blue energy shot out, and hit both her and the recovering Chachamaru. Negi quickly followed the line of fire to see a figure in white standing several rooftops away, Evangeline, still depowered, struggled to her feet before following her senseiÆs gaze, seeing the figure in white as well. Her eyes widened as a glow of blue appeared around the figureÆs hand, and she dived out of the way, the bolt of energy just missing her.

Flashback to a few minutes ago:

Standing on top of the girlsÆ dorms, a figure in white frowned. He had heard about the rumors, and was going to ignore them until he heard through the grapevine that a girl had been found low on blood. After what he had seen, he wasnÆt going to dismiss the possibility, and decided to stake out Sakura lane the next full moon. Being caught at the girlsÆ dorms was a small embarrassment if it meant he could get to the bottom of this.

He was going to take action against the vampire, and nearly did so, until the young boy teacher had initiated an attack of his own. The figure decided to wait to see how it played out, focusing energy to his eyes and ears so he could find out what was going on. ôMagesà?ö he questioned as he looked at the two in a new light. That explained the energy he sensed coming from quite a few teachers on the campus. It certainly wasnÆt Reiatsu. His attention returned as the revealed vampire flew off, the teacher rapidly following. Eyebrows furrowing, Uryu Ishida focused energy to his legs, and took off after the duo.

Keeping the terrain in mind as he moved from rooftop to rooftop, Ishida kept the two in sight. He saw flashes of light, definitely magic, fly between the two. The two were obviously exchanging words, but even with his senses enhanced Ishida couldnÆt make it out. However, he was able to make out the girl vampireÆs clothes mysteriously shredding, and resisted the urge to look away. If he lost track of them, he might not be able to catch them again until the incident was over. Thankfully, though, the two stopped on a rooftop nearby, and he quickly made his way to a rooftop a block or two away. No sense in revealing himself just yet.

Ishida watched as the boy demanded an explanation of what was going on, and what does his father have to do with this? before another girl, this one looking much older and robotic? jumped down. Introductions were made, and the new girl began to rush the boy mage. Alright, time to step in. Holding out his right arm, a glowing blue bow materialized from the focus in his pentacle, before an arrow of the same substance materialized in his left hand. At this, the Quincy rapidly aimed and fired.

This is an incomplete version of a potential story involving Ishida from Bleach in Mahou Sensei Negima. I will write more later and post it.

Negima / Sora no Otoshimono

So... what exactly was Eva doing this past summer while all the interesting people were off in the Magic World? I mean she had to have had something to do to keep from going out of her mind with boredom after Negi and company reminded her what it's like to have fun (not that she'll admit or allude to this, but Ala Alba does make undeath a lot more entertaining), so what was she doing?

About a week after Negi and company set off, Eva is already bored out of her mind until the universe decides to provide her with some entertainment by dropping Ikaros into her lap.

Of course, Synapse wants Ikaros back and they're willing to kill to reclaim her. Normally Eva wouldn't care except Hakase got her hands on Ikaros and is willing to waive her a lifetime of free repairs and upgrades to Chachamaru and her many sisters (as well as drop the invoice for Chachamaru's last upgrade) if Eva helps keep them away from her and protect Ikaros (and eventually Nymph and Astraea when they show up as well).

And of course, eventually Eva is going to come face-to-face with the Master of Synapse, he with the almighty God complex. Much ham will ensue. Great heaping quantities of it. :evil2:

Having watched the first few episodes of Ben-to, anyone else think this concept would work well as a crossover with negima?

Those students who are low on funds or meal tickets find themselves fighting as wolves over the half-priced bentos offered at select Mohora markets.

Idea: Nodoka was a bit more careful and didn't fall off the stairs in the first volume. Things snowball from there; Asuna doesn't discover magic for quite a while even if she might be suspicious of Negi, Nodoka doesn't get a crush on the boy, Evangeline's arc goes very different, etc etc.

Negi is drained of his blood by Evangeline (he might live, depending on how much blood Eva requires to break the curse, and if she's sufficiently amused with him), and leaves. Without Eva there to train Negi, Chao exposes magic to the world. Actually it might be sooner than that, when whatshername summons that ancient superpowerful demon with Konoka's power, and it destroys the Kansai Magic Association then (maybe) rampages across the countryside...unless it runs across Eva, and she is annoyed enough to destroy it instantly. Mundus Magicus will likely be destroyed without Negi and co. there to stop it/come up with a better idea. Asuna is OK, because Cosmo Entelechia's plans at first didn't involve the Imperial Princess of Twilight. They just took advantage of the situation when she showed up.

That said, it would be interesting to see the fallout over such a simple decision.

Inspired by the "Things Mahora students are not allowed to do" thread: Evangeline-sensei. At some point either during her long life, possibly while stuck in the school, Eva got herself a teaching degree, because she's got more than a little free time. As a reward for good behavior, Dean Konoe decided to let her move up the food chain a bit. She's still stuck in the school, but as a teacher instead of a student.

Are age deceiving pills used? Because a ten year old teacher is one thing, a ten year old teacher who remains ten years old for the several years she teaches you is just asking for trouble.
