I want to see this, though the mask aspect will be difficult to pull off.
Not sure about the mask thing, to be honest. My first thought was "Chisame in MGLN" then it went to "Chisame moonlighting as a traditional magical girl" and then "how does she keep her identity secret?". I always thought a simple face disguise wouldn't be enough to hide someone's identity, so I thought of how Christopher Reeve portrayed Superman, with a completely different personality under his disguise, or Batman being a millionare playboy in his secret identity.

You're right, though. The mask would be hard to work in.
your saying this as the girl who already wears a mask to separate Chisame from Chiu the idol. She's a master of this sort of thing.

Point.

If I wrote this there would be many hijinks of Negi fanboy-ing over Mahou Shoujo Chiu.

Probably some of the girls 'in the know' fangirling over her, as well. If that includes Konoka, Setsuna will be jealous.

The mask over her emotions may not be new for her, but it isn't all that easy to do. Besides, her identity as a secret net idol was an expression of her inner desires. it was not her true self.

With the manga being over, i'm wondering where fics will take it now. We have one hell of a timeskip, as well as descriptions of the girls future jobs/lives. Some were surprising, other more predictable.

Lots of different angles I could see a story go now.

Idea partially based on Bissek's White Devil of the Moon.
Only, instead of Sailor Moon alone, ALL the Sailor Senshi are reborn as members of the 3rdA.
Hilarity Ensue, with the arrival of Luna, Artemis and the start of the first season...

Well, I got bored the other day and decided to reread Overmaster's "More Than Fifty-Four Negi and Chisame Threesomes". It had at least one new chapter since I last checked, and one of the shorts in there had me thinking "this would make a good starting point for a fic":

"I called Social Services and got the kid removed from office. Seriously, a boy his age shouldn't be working yet! Also, it seems his papers weren't in order, so he was deported to Wales. I think he's in the plane right now..."

My idea was, what would be the natural conquences and fallout of those actions? Just on the Mahora faculty side alone, you would have a lot of questions to answer, like who takes over as teacher for 2/3A? Which teachers/staff would be under investigation, let go/fired, or maybe even arrested? Does the government know about magic, and would they take advantage of having a chance to make a bunch of mages safely disappear should they know/find out? And more I likely haven't thought of...

Then there's the students and other non-faculty, and Negi and anyone else where he ends up. I just haven't thought these two sides out as well, mostly because the admin stuff is easier for me to think through (too many people, not enough grasp of their personalities outside of fanfics).

(And apologies if someone's already suggested this, but given the way this board is set up, I don't want to have to deal with 50 reply notices on one topic because I was reading another topic...)

This would probably have more impact on the class if Negi had been there for awhile.

Post-Mahora Festival would possibly be the best point since by that point half the class was "in the know". I mean it would be impossible to include Setsuna, Chisame, Haruna, etc. otherwise and make them care about the fact Negi was sent away if he was there for only a week.

In that case only Ayaka, Makie, and Nodoka are going to be the only ones really upset. Oh and Evangeline would be upset she lost her chance for freedom. The rest would be disappointed, but move on while others wouldn't really care such as Chisame, Mana, or Setsuna.

Asuna would be relieved that Negi was gone since her die hard loyalty for him hadn't developed yet.

Back to the MahoraFest as a starting point. Negi gathered a lot of attention during the Festival. IIRC before that he was apparently unknown to most of the school except for rumor. Say someone who doesn't approve of a Child Teacher informs Social Services?

This was done in a short fic... it was a Chisame BAD END when she did so Eva was... not happy, and Chao got retcon out of existance, and with her... Chachamaru and her positive influences on Eva

And it was for a stupid reason. He didn't want her to have no friends so she got him kicked out.

...Wow. That really is a stupid reason.

And yes, when I envisioned the fallout, I did imagine it would have been far enough into the series that most of the girls would have major issues with Negi leaving, and I didn't get past the emotional aspects other than to acknowledge there would be more...

But let's try a different approach to who turned Negi in. Either some well meaning idiot (you know the type; the kind of person who will do the obvious "right" thing even if, in context, it's the wrong thing to do), or someone who has a less than pure motive for getting Negi out of the way (didn't Nitta-sensei say that he should be the one in charge of 3A at one point?), or simply someone with an evil plan that thinks (correctly or not) Negi would be less of a issue without his partners (said enemy doesn't have to appear in canon; this way it could be set post-manga).

(And in case you're wonder why, if I have this idea, don't I write it myself? Simple, I have issues with writing that prevent me from getting my thoughts from my brain to the page/screen. I just treat these posts as more speaking in text format than actual writing. After that, all I can really do if it's an idea is hope that someone chooses to do it justice, and maybe offer c&c.)

*is shot*

But seriously, someone sees all the situations that Negi and 3A get into and thinks the girls are taking advantage of his innocence (they are) and that he's too young to teach (he kind of is) and contacts the police or child services or something. It gets turned into a huge debacle, so the mages can't just wipe the minds of those involved.

By the way, I found this gem in the fanfic More than Fifty Four Negi and Chisame Threesomes. Not crack or romance, surprisingly. Set after the end of the manga, when Eva is traveling the multiverse or whatever.

After I leave Kagurazaka with Boya, I take my leave, leaving Chao behind. I say I'll be travelling around, seeing the sights, going from world to world doing whatever I want.

The years pass to the point time becomes irrelevant and pointless, even for me. I see and do everything, from timeline to timeline, from real to realm. I see them all growing old and dying time and time again, they and their descendants, and I'll keep doing it. I am so above them now it isn't even funny anymore.

Sometimes I marry the Boya. Sometimes I marry his father. Every time, I end up outliving them. They are too damn stubborn for their own good, never listening to my ultimate wisdom. They always, eventually, find ways to get themselves killed even when it's fully impossible. I couldn't even if I wanted to. Which I don't.

I will live truly forever now. Nothing can kill me. I don't even have to fear the death of the universe anymore, since I can just switch to another universe whenever I want to.

So I should be happy.

I really should.

I don't want to ever end my trip, but I don't find solace on it anymore. I keep doing it... because. Isn't that enough of a reason? I don't need motivations. I'm not a person of happiness either. I just do things because I want to. I don't owe explanations to anyone, not even myself, on what are my reasons for wanting it.

Until the day I have a change of mind, leave the Cassiopeia aside, and just sit down to wait at the end of time itself. I could just jump ship again, but I won't, not this time. I just chose it.

I don't need a reason for this either.

I do it because I want to, and nothing else. I'm not even actually bored or tired. I can't even feel that anymore.

And then, in the final moment, I understand.

Fiendish idea, pre-Kyoto Arc.
Inside the Library Island (and inspired by a manga), Negi found a way to change Evangeline's Infernum Scholasticus Curse from an 'anchor' to another.
As a result, Evangeline is not bound to Mahora's grounds anymore.
She's bound to Negi, a-lÓ Alucard (Hellsing).
(Bloody) Hilarity Ensue!
Well, now she can go outside the Mahora or using her powers.
She only need to be autorized by Negi...

Take this idea as you will:

After Negi's escapades at Mahora, he is invited to a small English town named Northampton, there to be offered an apprenticeship to the greatest, most terrible mage of modern times.

Idea: Chisame, just after everyone gets separated at the beginning of the magical world arc, loses her Ala Alba badge. This means that Chachamaru can't pinpoint her location, and they fly over her unseen while Chisame's in the deep jungle. Away from civilization, and her labtop and pactio quickly dying, an average muggle girl who has been nothing but a NEET for the past several years has to survive in a jungle without any survival skills or equipment to help her out. A clothes-eating tentacle monster will be the least of her worries.

Thus, Chisame takes on the role of Action Survivor, forcing herself to adapt to the harsh conditions, being on the bottom of the food chain and surviving by the skin of her teeth.

An interesting angle besides Chisame adapting to the law of the jungle would be when she reunites with the rest of the cast. After over a month and a half struggling to survive with everything out to get her, I can see her being quite shellshocked, constantly jumping at anything that startles her, always carrying a blade close and refusing to accept that yes, she's safe now.

Negi would probably break. Chisame was the Asuna replacement. She was basically his counselor. Chachamaru would not be able to keep him together.

I didn't want Chisame to be a replacement character. I wanted her to develop into a unique character. Anyway, I think Chachamaru would be able to keep him together, at least until he ran across his other students, which would then help. And yes, without Chisame, Negi's actions would be very different. That's why I thought of the idea.

On a side note, now that I think of it maybe Chisame has body-image issues. She describes herself as 'plain' or 'ugly' or 'bad skin'. We don't see it, but maybe that's not because of Generic Cuteness; maybe those flaws aren't really there at all. It would help explain why she Photoshops her pictures for her site, and why she seems to often prefer her Chibi-Chiu form. Perhaps she, like many teenage girls, looks in the mirror and sees flaws, imperfections, and such where there aren't any. As we've all seen, she's actually quite pretty, especially with her hair down and glasses off (and the Clothes-Eating Octopus bit and the waterfall-shower scene during the 'Training With Rakan' mini-arc show that she's got a pretty nice figure, too).

Hmm. I think she might well refuse to let Negi (or whichever friend finds her first) out of her sight for some time afterwards, leading to awkward bathroom breaks (not that she's likely to have much thought of privacy, by then), among other things. Possibly some very clingy sleeping habits, as well.

Now if only someone would write this...I want to, but I'm lazy. Anyway, the following was from the misc. ideas topic in the Anime sub-board. Moved it here because it seemed more relevant.

No no, Evangeline is not related to Altrouge. She is Altrouge. Crimson Moon is responsible, he just wanted to see if he could.

You are now imagining a black haired Evangeline.

This has been suggested before. But I can't remember who first threw the idea out. But I just love the idea, especially if her "little sister" comes to visit.

Of course this means that Evangeline would be even more interested in seeing Negi progress as a mage. She can't lose out to Arcueid and that bitch the Blue! Her little mortal must be the strongest of all!

He found a mate a while back. Kotarou's one of his kids. (Just for the drama/comedy of Kotarou occasionally getting the urge to kill humans.)

Eva doesn't bother calling Murder back because she can't leave the school yet anyway.
