I'm pretty sure that dog could just eat the seal.

That'd be fun. Nagi failed to take into account Murder because during all the time he knew her she never showed him/her/it. Thus Eva is freed when it shows up in Mahora.

Primate Murder lacks the finesse to eat the seal without eating Eva/Altrouge. Eva knows this.

Kotarou, on the other hand. . .

Between Negi's bloodline/crest and Kotarou's bloodline, Eva might just have enough resources to work out a way out herself.

That is, if Nagi hadn't already foreseen that and made a deal with Zeltrech to get around it.

Nagi's an idiot. I doubt he planned that far ahead. He just used the Infernal Scholastic or whatever and had a stupid amount of power to back it up. Why would Zeltrech decide to help, anyway?

Negima in the Marvelverse...that is, the Marvel movieverse...crazy things are beginning to happen, and people are starting to take notice. While the Masquerade is still in effect, it becomes less and less effective as threats start coming out, and new heroes are rising to stop them. Recently, there was an entire alien invasion trying to destroy everyone. Meanwhile, the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division is beginning to notice that things don't add up, and are taking second and third looks at things that used to be dismissed as "Special Effects."

I was under the impression that Eva's magical power was used to enforce the seal on the Lifemaker, I suspect initially that was not the intention, Nagi just did it for the Lulz and to get rid of a tag along, but Albireo and the headmaster went with what would work, naturally they told her nothing.

Is this not how it played out?

I do tend to create odd little things like this and think it's cannon, until finding out later it was just some ridiculous brain wave I had well reading.

MSN/Azumanga Daioh:

A competition between the two schools over who has the best cute child prodigy. Negi-kun is smarter but Chiyo-chan is cuter. Who will win? And given that this was probably set up Chiyo's classmates (most likely Tomo) and 3-A without consulting either of them, what do they think about this mess?

Of course, if they team up, they could send everyone else into cuteness overload.

Counter with another slice-of-life. Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Chiyo doesn't have a harem, so we have proof that Negi is cuter.

By that logic, the biggest harem in the universe should belong to some kind of Lovecraftian god who appears as a loli catgirl.

Ah, but Chiyo is from a PG-rated slice-of-life in an ordinary school, not a shounen-disguised harem manga. We have to take that into account.

Plus, double standard. Would we support Negima if the genders were reversed? If males constantly undressed an underage girl and have crushes on her?

How often does Chiyo interact with people of the opposite gender again? There's only one male recurring character in Azumanga, so she's not in a position to acquire a harem.

Actually, there are three; however, given that two of them are Mr. Tadakichi and Miya...

It hasn't been established that Maya is a male.

...Good point.
Maya is referred to as a he on multiple occasions in the manga.

How about this as the basis for a story:

One of the girls, while studying magic, ends up casting a spell that results in urban myths starting to become true around campus. At first they are simple ones, like "If you sneeze, it means someone is talking about you' or 'Drinking milk\rubbing them makes your breasts grow bigger!"

But as time goes on, the myths coming true get more and more dangerous. Tales of monsters, rogue wizards, vampires, etc, all start to grow.

Even the trivial myths could end up going bad. Take the second one you mentioned. A minor crossover scene and you have Anita King (Who sees nothing wrong with power chugging a quart or more of milk at every meal) suddenly unable to stand or balance herself without help.

Right, I'm thinking we start seeing things amplified by the power of belief. The more people who start believing these myths are real, the more pronounced and powerful the effects.

Which then cycles, as people believe in the myths, they happen, which makes more people believe, which makes them more powerful, ad infinitum.

You can see why Negi and co would have to get to the bottom of this, and fast.

I wonder if they revert to normal, when the myth-spell ends. Poor Eva, she was so enjoying her growth spurt (IIRC, there are urban myths about eating certain things to grow taller, nut just bustier, and she'd go for that).

If they don't revert to normal, that could have interesting consequences, and not just for the milk-lovers (some of whom may need surgery).

Inspired by, but otherwise unconnected to, the myth-spell idea:

Paru, pervert that she is, starts another of those 'this will make your breasts bigger' rumour - specifically, rubbing them on Negi's face. Poor Negi, even if he's hit puberty by then, this will still be a problem for him.

Asuna, Ayaka, and/or Nodoka trace the rumour to it's source, and decide that Paru has gone too far, this time, and must be punished.
