The following takes place in a Groundhogs day scenario were the entire of the Genin component of team 7 (Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke) have been looping for awhile and have mellowed out.
"My Dream" the capital D was clearly audible in Sasuke's deadly serous voice, "Is to kill a certain man."
"Yes" contained Naruto in the same dark tone "Ronald McDonald must die."
The Genin nodeded there heads in single of their unification under Sasuke's Dream.
Kakashi sweatdropped.

The following is an AU wear Naruto was saved from something by Shisui using his body flicker technique (he was called Shisui of the body flicker after all). This Shisui, when he was alive, viewed Naruto in a similar was to Naruto views Konohamaru (in canon). He dose not know if Itachi killed Shisui (he did die before the Uchiha massacre after all) but he strongly suspects.

Sasuke turned his attention to the last team mate the boy he thought was called Naruto. Naruto had always been quiet in class, Sasuke though he may have remembered a time when Naruto had be boisterous but that was in the Before and he did not like to think about it.

That was the idea. Take the rivalry and give and a real purpose and goal. I have seen many fics were Naruto interacts with the Uchiha in a positive fashion before they died, but never one were Naruto and Sasuke are both aiming with equal intensity to kill Itachi at the same time. There are three ways this fic could go. Naruto and Sasuke work together as soon as they find out each other goals (boring), they eventually work together when they find out nether can do it on there own (could be a good bonding/rivalry fic), or they are both fanatical to get there revenge before the other and will do just about anything to do it (harder to write but could be a good dark fic).
For a crack adition/Omake Hinata is also gunning for Itachi for taking happy!Naruto away.

Sakura glared half heartedly at her sensei before starting. "I am Haruto Sakura. I like to read Icha-Icha in private, cooking, and learning medical jutsu. I dislike traitors and bastards. My hobbies are reading up on medical jutsu theories and my dream is to surpass Tsunade-shis...sama as the best medic in the shinobi world.
Kakashi blinked. 'Her file said she was a fangirl of the highest order but here she sounds competent.' He moved his gaze towards the uchiha who was between his two teamates. "You next Sunshine."
Sasuke grunted before begining. "I am Uchiha Sasuke. Likes are few and far between. Dislikes, too many to list but among them are pedophiles and bastard older brothers. My hobbies are pointless and my dream... no ambition is to keep my anal virginity from yoai fangirls, restore my clan, and to kill my brother by sticking him in a cage full of Yoai fangirls."
Kakashi was starting to think the academy's profiling needed to be redone. 'The file said he was an emotionless bastard more interested in revenge than anything, but here he is talking about pedophiles and *shudders* yoai fangirls.' Kakashi's gaze landed on their final teammate. "You last Blondie."
Naruto sighed a bit before looking at his sensei intently. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto. I like Fuinjutsu, explosions, ramen, and a certain book. I dislike teachers who don't attempt to train you or are too busy doing research to help. My hobbies include acting out scenes from my favorite book, using fuinjutsu to make big explosions, and gardening. My dream... is to write my own version of my favorite book and out sell the author and become Hokage if I can."
Kakashi stared at him with his lazy eye. "What is your favorite book Naruto?"
Naruto's ears perked up and replied, "Icha-Icha paradise. Why Kaka-sensei?"
Kakashi giggled pervertedly but did not reply. 'Naruto is a surprise. Kushina would kill whoever gotten him hooked on Icha-Icha' Kakashi suddenly sneezed causing Naruto Sakura and Sasuke to snicker at him. 'They need work but I can see promise in them.'
