Okay, so his Prana level will go below flatline afterward... and no Wendy around for the aftermath; Ryuune doesn't know how to do... whatever Wendy did for Masaki the first time Cyfis took over him...

Ah, never mind... vastly outnumbering the NG is the only way to go. Preferably at close range, so Shuu doesn't use Black Hole Cluster/Shukutaihou on you at point-blank, and damage himself in the process.

Although, it was damned easy to take down Neo-Granzon in OGG compared to Alpha Gaiden, 3, 4, and F Final.

Overpowered originals, or nerfed Shi-chan?

I AM still hoping to mess around with this, but I've had my hands full with caring for my grandmother who has a badly messed up leg, and while I can still get on Internet, caring for a sick person isn't what I'd call muse-inspiring.

If you want to take a shot at this, go ahead. After all, it's not like it'd be the first time two people take a shot at the same idea... the Evangelion Lemon Contest where everyone had a common basic idea to work on is a good example.

Just be warned that I DO want to write some stuff on this basic idea, so you might want to avoid using the same setup I have in this thread. ;)

Basic ideas I'll probably be taking are the most basic idea seed, and the pwnzage that is Lat (naturally). That much all right?

After I read through this thread a plot bunny based on this idea attacked me all night at work and I thought I would get an opinion and maybe a blessing to try if thats OK with GH.

The main thrust of the idea was that the SRX project was meant to try and use the AT fields without having to pilot an almost direct clone of an "angel" because some people were worried about possible contamination issues. Especially after that incident with Yui Ikari. To all apperances the project is a failure. Which is what the project head Gilliam Yeager wants people to think.

It is strongly implied that Gilliam has jumped multiple dimensions and has very strong precognitive abilities. So useing the knowledge of other dimensions technology and the visions of the fate awaiting Shinji, Gilliam recruits him to be the pilot of the R-3 which has the experimental AT projecter.

Before recruting Shinji though Gilliam recruits several other people first,

Leona Garstein, Captain of the SRX team and Pilot of the R-1
Radha Bairaban, Pilot of R-2
Sanger Zonvolt, Pilot of R-Sword(Type-0)
Tasuku Shinguji, Pilot of R-Sheild(Giganscudo)
Mai Kobayashi, Pilot of R-Gun
Along with various others who will be revealed later.

The basic outline I have of the story says that there will be three arcs.

The Angel Arc where in my story we find that the "angels" were creations of the Einst. By the end of the arc some of the NGE cast will be in OG Mechs. Right now the list is:

Kensuke, Wild Wueger
Hikari, Wild Faulken
Asuka, Alt Eisen
Kaworu, Weisritter
Misato, Astelion

Kensuke and Hikari will get their mechs almost the same way Ryusei got his, through trial by fire. While Auska's father builds the Alt and Weis from their combat data.

I am currently not sure if Touji will survive the angel wars or not.

The second arc will be a two front war against Brian Zodark's DC and the Inspectors who would be helped by most of SEELE. This arc will also introduce the battleship Kurogane and its Captain Elzam V. Branstein as well as the XO Lefina Enfield. Latooni and the other children will also appear in this ark

The third arc would be against the Ingram and the Aerogaters.

The Pairings I have in mind are Shinji X Mai, Kensuke X Hikari, Asuka X Kaworu.

So does anyone think this idea should be expanded or should it be killed dead

I haven't actually finished the plotting part, so I'll just be sure to steer clear of both of yours ;)

Hm. GH is using Shu, galthos is using Gilliam... I think I might use Ingram :p

You could always use the classic Mazinger villains. There's a reason why Ankoku Daishogun is always fought in the second half of the game... :p

Also, do remember the Shadow Mirror.

Ooooh, indeed, Shadow Mirror is definitely an option.

I'm not inclined to use Mazinger since I only know of them from Wikipedia, though.

My humble approach would have simply used the oldest legitimate plothole in the Eva universe: Sea of Dirac. Basic idea was all the Evas and their pilots get caught in the 12th Angel's Sea of Dirac. They all get sent to the SRWOG universe, but time and location are a different story.

Rei would have ended up dropped around the time the Aggressors were formed, allowing for Eva Unit 01 and 02 to have a solution for their battery problems. Plus, I don't think anyone really objected to seeing a twenty-something Rei actually working in a story.

Asuka would have ended up in Japan and got stuck with the SRX team for entirety of the Divine Crusaders War. Ryusei would frankly drive her up the wall, although I could see her try to flirt with Rai or even Ingram. Hmm, catfight between Aya and Asuka. Of course, we have to make comparisons between Misato's sense of direction at NERV and Masaki's general directional problems.

Shinji would end up at the Langley Base and generally be a mascot for the ATX team. Excellen would tease the hell out of Shinji, just like Misato would. Somehow, he'd be dragged into one of Radha's yoga sessions. I just know it. Would be fun to see how Kyosuke and the other guys try to get poor Shinji out of a pretzel shape.

Don't think I'll ever get that one off the ground, but it would be nice to dream about such an odd story.
