By the way, even though Sailor Moon is one of the series where I'm pretty purist on the original names (none of them are really that out there compared to some Japanese names that would be difficult to the average English speaker), it occurred to me today that Serena is actually a fairly reasonable English name for Usagi. It manages to make not one but two references - first, it shares the same root as the word Serenity, aka Princess/Queen Serenity. Second, Selene is a Greek Goddess of the moon with selenography being the study of the lunar topography, so the name Serena is actually a fairly meaningful name.
