Raccoon City

You remove the clip from the weapon and find it fully loaded, whoever owned the weapon before you didnt even have time to chamber a new round into the rifle.

J-Dub: You slowly go through the freq until you find something besides static.

"The riots in Raccoon City is entering its second day, and there is still no signs of them stopping. Police from nearby cities has been called in to help the local police bringing the riots under control. The reports from Raccoon City are sparce, but there has been multiple uncomfirmed rumours about weapons exchange between police and protestors. The local thelephone net as well as the emergency-services in the city has ground to complete halt due to the riots. Reports indicate more then a hundred fatalities due to the riots and hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. The police ask everyone not to call 911 unless it is an absolute emergency. Due to the inability of the local police to bring the city under control a "State of Emergency" has been declared for Raccoon City and nearby areas...."

( so that's a "NO!")

"we should finish checking the shops on this floor, the longer it takes us to get out of here the worse things'll be getting outside methinks. . ."

Tex: asks. "What do you recommend we should be looking for? Besides not leaving enemies behind us?"

"Can't think of anything besides enemies for these stores. . ."

You sweep the stores, but they are all empty. You move to the next staircase and spot the sign telling about the stores one floor down.

Fourth Floor:
Book shop
Shoe store
Interior Decorating
Pet shop

Tex: asks. "The shoe store may be good, for liners to make the boots comfortable, the book store for all your girly mag needs, but a Pet store? Think any Animals were left unaffected or are still around?"

"Given that we've encountered "Undead" and "Undead Creatures" do any of you want to run the risk of encountering "Undead Pets"? Granted we'd get better at shooting the things which is a plus, but I'll leave it up to a group vote. I'm gonna vote in favor of proceeding as normal, I get the feeling that should we open the "Emergency Stairs" door we'll encounter a bunch of "Undead" in a greater amount than the first one's we fought even though there won't be a pincer attack available to them. . ."

Tex: replies to that. "Think we could or should rig a trap? Shrapnel using nails around a mollie? Light, Open Door, Toss and Close? Then wait or find another way down?"

shout27

Well-Known Member
"No, I don't want to potentially waste a good molly in case i'm being paranoid, that said if i'm paranoid enough the moment we open the door they'll burst through and our "Little Trap" could backfire on us. That said, majority rules so make your vote."

Tex: replies. "Well? Part of the floor here has a hole, make a few barricades, for a path, have two of us ready, the third opens the door? Maybe make a directional trap going to the door that the door opener can jump safely behind and set it off?"

if that's what you want to do I might as well acquiesce, those metal shelves ought to do the trick and I'm pretty fast on my feet when running, If the metal shelves in the store don't look too heavy to move within 20 minutes. I'd also say a double barricade with the path being on opposite sides for each one to prevent rush's.

Clarke raised his hand. "I'll check the door. If I get grabbed and dragged off, shoot." He said, cocking his gun once more.

Humph 'I'll' grab the door, I'm both faster than you and better at avoiding attacks, while you're a better shot. I'd rather it was you shooting at any approaching 'undead'.

so we're going for the emergency exit? then let's hop to it.

Bones push the emergency door, but it doesn't budge. With a grunt of effort he applies more force and with a snap of metal and the sound of rusty hinges the door slams open.

Your flashlights sweep both up and down the stairs, but the staircase looks empty.

You turn around and inspect the door, someone has tried to weild the door shut, but did a very bad job. The bolt locking the door is opened.

(so we've got an non-lockable door now?)
"I guess there's nothing to do but continue downwards. . ."
*looks to see if the glass front extends to here as well.*

No, you can close the bolt and lock the door, making it impossible to open from the outside, but whoever weilded the door shut didn't do that.

There are no windows, just a concrete shaft with a staircase leading down.

Clarke nods. "Well, we can't just stand around here all day. We should get going..." He flicked his flashlight on, and looked down the stairwell.

(Spot Check: What do I see?)
(Listen Check: Has anything turned up on the radio that I should inform the others about?)

Quick check to see if it was welded from the outside, then follow the others down.

It was weilded from the inside.

You move down a floor, but you don't see anything suspicious in the staircase.

Apart from the brief newsflash from outside the city you haven't picked up anything.

The bolt is locked and the door weilded shut, looks to be a better job then on the door above you.

Every door you pass has been weilded shut.

You have just passed the tenth door when you see movement on the floor below you. You point your flashlight downwards and you see a man sitting on the floor, with his back resting against the wall.

He is cluthing his stomache and you can see that his hands is covered in blood. He is wearing an similar uniform as you are, with a Umbrella Corporation logo in his sleeve.

The bright light makes him look up and he shakingly raises a revolver

"Who's there?" He gasps out.
