They Had Crossbows by Vampirecow: <a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-23568/Vampi...d+Crossbows.htm' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-23568/Vampi...d+Crossbows.htm</a>
[Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Anita Blake]
Having fallen through a rift brought on by Wilkins' death, pint-sized Scoobies find themselves in a world where the supernatural is commonplace. Throw in sneaky governments, power-hungry vamps, and over-protective lycanthropes, it could almost be home.

Yes I know it's kidfic and a crossover with Anita Blake but don't let that turn you off too it. It happens to be one of the few well written and thought out ones, and gives equal focus to all of the Scoobies who despite their sudden transformation into kids are still themselves.

What I never get about these sort of crossovers is the need to turn them into children. I mean, what the fuck? What's the point? You've got a well crafted, engaging style of writing but instead of having a group of adults as main characters you make them ten year olds. And every single time there's always a reference to abuse because of scars or something completely lame like that. Sigh, I really shouldn't get worked up about weird pointless shit turning up in fanfiction.

Fic in question is alright, this little point always annoys the crap out of me though.

Because that way the adults in the new universe get to parent them. Because obviously when they're kids again they suddenly become vulnerable and dependent, inevitable finding parental figures in whatever sex-ed up whores the Anita Blake verse throws at them.

Cutesy bullshit like that makes me want them to go on a rampage of epic crusade proportions.

I think it's more that the adults think they are the ones in control and basically go insane as the little kids run into a fight waving swords around to kill a pack of demons three times their sizes.

Hotpoint's <a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-21657/Hotpoint+Wesley+s+Mulligan.htm' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Wesley's Mulligan</a> featuring the time travelling Wesley Wyndam-Price has been updating a lot recently. It's quite good.

I'm also liking neolong's <a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-22948/neoolong+Over+There.htm' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Over There</a>, a Stargate: Universe crossover, and <a href='http://m-mcgregor.livejournal.com/216812.html' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Following the Leader</a>? by m.mcgregor is an oldy but really sticks in character I think and I don't think it's been recc'd before.

Lots of fics there, a whole section for BtVS. Most of them at least decent, some very spectacular. Weeks worth of reading.

I like reading. I also tend to skip minor things that could slow me down. You know, small things, like eating.

Terran Jedi updated to <a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2640672/42/The_Terran_Jedi' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>chapter 42</a>.

It's been a while, I have an idea of what is going on but some of the details escape me. I'd have to reread the first 41 chapters to make the most sense out of it.

does anybody know of any good xander/cordy fanfics
Check out <a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/u/192706/Nodakskip' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Nodakskip's</a> work. He's the only consistent author of C/X that I really enjoy, although <a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/AuthorStories-18695/zTiamaTz.htm' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>zTiamaTz</a> has some C/X crossovers that aren't to horrible if you don't mind the PoV swapping he likes to prefer.

<a href='http://m-mcgregor.livejournal.com/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The Great Random Xander Story - Iteration 1</a>

Gathering a list of powerups for Xander and the list of episodes, toss them into a random number calculator, then write a story starting there. Its pretty good, far above what I would think it'd be if most anyone else wrote it.

Yeah that's definitely a good fic. It's hard in places not to feel annoyed by some of Xander's rambling (because it's just annoying in my opinion) and it's a little techno-wanked if you know what I mean but the fic is most definitely worth reading, much like almost all of said author's work.

As of part 9 I'm not liking it as much simply because it's taken a very different turning to the previous installments; NSFW-style. It'd have been alright if the fic had set off with that in mind but in my opinion it has derailed a little from the original tone with the latest chapter. Still good, just in a different way I suppose.

Nick Stokes isn't the only one who's ever awakened six feet underground. Ficlet series.

... I liked it.

<a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/Series-179' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Willow Rosenberg's Family Tree</a>

Willow is related to Magneto, and seems to have some close semblance of his powers. But really her powers are a small part, she isn't destroying things or inheriting the cause, just a surprisingly good story about people and how they grow up.

<a href='http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-19655-5/Godogma+Just+a+bit+Old+Fashioned.htm' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>This</a> is amusing, lulzy and recently updated, especially the series of misunderstandings that ends with xander in the high tiers of the army.
