Well, we now no Minaka has morals. He views it a tragedy that humans were effected, so he clearly doesn't view Sekirei as important as people. There goes my hope for a happy family reunion.
Keep in mind that he may be aware of things we aren't.

It's entirely possible that deactivated Sekirei can be easily reactivated under certain circumstances.

We already know that the Jinki can revive them; that's what Musubi's entire plan is. Win tournament, receive Jinki, revive deactivated Sekirei, everyone lives happily ever after.

Mad Scientist-type characters... I feel like it's really hard to judge them as "good" or "evil" when there's even a little ambiguity, until the author has revealed all their reveals, and the story is over, and we as the audience have all the facts available to make our judgement calls.

Sekirei is one of those series, Minaka is one of those guys, that I find really hard to judge--yet.

I mean--well, if Sekirei exist, and were dispached to Earth because Earthlings have "exhibited the potential to become Ashikabi"--

That was a humongous atomic bomb of a line that Miya dropped, because--

"Humans exhibited the potential to become Ashikabi"--wait, this means you've gotten Ashikabi elsewhere before? Then that means there's at least a third alien species, that could be Ashikabis for the second, you Sekirei?
Maybe Minaka's worried about that other race of Ashikabi showing up in more spaceships and being like, "Nice planet; we'll be taking it, now". That's something I'd be super-duper-worried about.

I guess my point is, Ms. Mangaka has really invoked Fermi's Paradox without actually addressing it, here.

(Anyway remember that Minaka was sad about humans being affected because that was unexpected, not because it was bad.)

So I guess what I'm saing is,

Until we know whether Minaka's preparing for like a Borg invasion or whatever, I have a hard time condemning him.

I really have to agree with you here. Minaka is a very specific sort of character, specifically one with a thoroughly mysterious and currently ambiguous agenda.

Hard to judge him until you know exactly what it is that he's actually trying to accomplish.

Chapter 133 - On one hand, disappointed with the Yukari subplot. On the other hand, dat Kouten.

So much for the Yukari resolution. :(
At least it's heading for the end now. No more waiting entire months for a chapter.

Eh, at least Yukari is out of the picture until the maximum annoyance value can be reached. Cause that's really all she was good for.

But yes, dat Kouten. A perfect place for Catfight Thunderdome to commence.

Damn, some of those assholes are really quite detached from their Sekirei. Leaving one to be terminated because she failed? Walking off like it's nothign while she cries out for you?

Yeah, really hopping Minato kicks some series ass in the final stage. Also, hopping he and his sekirei get to make some sweet love before the end.

I guess I'm not going to see Higa die horribly for what he did to Uzume, huh? :(

Unfortunately for us, He got some good karma by apologizing, which in the Sekirei world is basically a reset button. Though the end of the chapter seems to imply that the lack of trust may have been from becoming the CEO of his company at too young an age and the board members using that to their advantage.

First Mikogami, now Higa. Who's next? Karasuba?
Good thing it's ending. I don't know how much of this forced redemption crap I can take.

I'd say they all are. Each will have a final moment of glory, then go down for some reason.

Only to be resurrected in the end when the final fight is done. or something.

The sad thing about Sekirei is that the Ditz will probably win it. That took out half of the anticipation already.

Sekirei 00? I'm getting a little confused by this renumbering.
