I found pretty much everyone ugly. But I mostly contributed that to them being British.
You hurt their feelings. I guess they'll go home and gorge on tea and crumpets to get over the emotional agony.

I've only seen movies 1-3. Hermione was pretty spot on first movie, and then they just sorta gave up on trying to make her a bucktoothed, bushy haired dweeb that cleans up nice.

But yeah, I feel like first movie, everyone was actually pretty spot on, save Snape... and hagrid being too short.

I know they tried their best with Hagrid though.

The first 2 movies had Christopher Columbus who was dead set on making the movie as close as possible to the books.... then they got that alfonso dude who basically said "huh.. lets change the LOOK of ALL the characters to make them look more 'natural"... The only gripe I have for Christopher Columbus was that harry looked too neat... the kid's supposed to have a bird's nest for hair, he looked like he got a haircut from the beatle's stylist... my problem with alfonso's version was he basically made "teenage rebellion" as the main visual point of the whole movie... still it wasn't a bad movie visually just felt a little off for me..

Also the first 2 movies had Richard Harris for Dumbledore who was PERFECT for the damn part... I feel bad that he passed away but his replacement made me want to bang my head on the wall with the way he acted..

There was a lot of costume changes as well from Movie 2 to Movie 3. Movie 2 they wore robes, Movie 3 they went to dress suits.

(Let's also not forget how they inexplicably cast an entirely new character, Bem, for what really seems to be no reason than for more racial inclusion. He then disappears after that movie)

Personally, I hated Harry's hair in GoF. Dude need a trim, badly.

Looked like he had stepped out of the late 70's / early 80's.
