Regarding one aspect of the chapter, I must paraphrase a statement my former violin teacher made when he discovered that I could sing.
Todokoro ... why the hell are you in a cooking school!
Seriously, the chapter proves she's in the wrong series. Let's ship her over to Prince of Tennis or some kind of ping pong manga. I could stomach her presence there better. Mainly cause if you have such a talent, then you should not be as overly panicky as Todokoro. You'd have a fallback that is coveted.

Don't send her to Prince of Tennis, she's going to be completely ignored and hated by the fanbase because she has breasts and a vagina!

Well, this explains why Erina doesn't realize Souma's his son and it helps explain Joe's words. The 'beautiful woman' must be the thing that made Joe achieve his 'perfection' in kitchen.

A little early, I think, to go where the next chapter is apparently heading. I have no real desire to see Souma get curbstomped, especially since he was just on the losing end of a shokugeki not too long ago. But whatever, hopefully it will at least be entertaining. I had hoped to see that battle hold off until such a time as Souma would have developed to a level where he could at least have a shot at winning.
