Oh, and if you want to know what Miss Campbell looks like, here's a word picture:

She wears her wheat coloured hair in a loose French braid that reaches down to between her shoulder blades. A pair of low-intensity reading glasses cover and protect her dark blue eyes. She wears very little makeup on her heart-shaped face, and she wears a small hoop earring.

On school business, she wears a rust coloured, mid-calf length skirt; a sleeveless grey business suit jacket, a cream coloured blouse, and black "Mary Janes".

You should have put that description in your story post, David. Also, they should be a bit longer to flesh out more story and create additional inspiration to the other participants but that's just my opinion.

It's better but length should be a bit longer. Probably around the size of Mereo or Eternity's posts. Not too short with well balanced story bits.

Gah, of all the old school stuff, I forgot DBZ! The dragonballs would also have world altering powers.

As for the magical locations, you'd have to activate all of them simultaneously to generate enough magical energy to be able to alter the world in such a way.

As for the Holy Grail....hmmm...would there be a point to the Holy Grail war arc if it wasn't any use in saving the universe? Just wondering....

The Human instrumentality project would give birth to another 'God/Goddess' in full awareness mode who would be able to reverse the effects of Mereo's wish. Shinji, at this time, is a sleeping God, i.e. has little to no effect on the reality around him.

And I can see you've chosen the 'Haruhi's reality bubble' route.

Well, Zeni is the reluctant type who wouldn't mess with such things unless he has to. AMM would probably jump straight in and stop the DITE from executing their plans, opting for the other options instead. EI, on the other hand....is completely unpredictable. In fact, I don't know what the Shinmei-Ryu's stance on the whole thing is. Gotta ask her later.

So AMM's gonna take the moral route? I can dig it. Will he be adding his own story bits later though?

I don't mind Dragon Balls just as long as we keep the insane martial arts (AKA moving at the speed of light and having Saiyan fireballs being able to destroy planets) to a minimum. Actually, just to make things interesting, we should only include the Dragon Balls and keep characters and technology from that series out to make things difficult for our insert characters. Considering that the Dragon Balls are legendary and that there's no real evidence of their existence, wish hunters will opt to hunt for the Holy Grail instead.

I would rather avoid having the Holy Grail and the Dragon Balls being total Deus Ex Machinae. It feels a bit too convenient. Yes, I'm aware of their wish granting power to change the world but my reservations are still there.

How exactly would Instrumentality be achieved in this case?

The usual way.

Ingredients:
1 child with a personality disorder
a few tons of LCL
A dummy plug
Evas are optional, but they help
Messed up parents of any description, but having the father be the leader of some mecha-wielding psycho organization isn't a bad start.
Angels, preferable of the Lilith and Adam variety

How to prepare:
Have the child go through a few battles to gain experience on the battlefield as well as to expand on his/her personality disorder. Drown him/her in LCL a few times. dump him/her in a dummy plug and insert it into an EVA (if you have one) a few times. Then when he's reasonably mad have him reflect upon himself before the final battle. Make sure he fuses with all the super powered plot devices and angels in the end and voila, instant God.

Ok, basically, to initiate Instrumentality, all it takes is for a character to fuse with an angel and to gain an awareness of his/her omnipotence. I think that's how it works. Considering I last watched NGE about 3 years ago, I MIGHT have gotten that wrong....

You can't honestly expect factions going after the Holy Grail to sit idly by if Angels attack right? Then again, only Evas who can neutralize AT Fields can battle them efficiently. Still, bringing in the core concepts of Eva like the Angel Wars doesn't seem to fit within the basic groundwork (being Negima with elements of Haruhi and FSN thrown in) of the insertion fic.

As long as one has the ability to neutralize the AT field, all that has to be done is to shatter the core of the Angel. But I'm saying that Angels don't seem to 'fit' in well with this fic if there is some sense of normality even with magic and advanced technology flying about.

Have them be human-sized angels, like Kaworu. Simple enough, right? The only difference would be their strength, resilience, special powers, regeneration capabilities and last but not least, their AT field.

No, Angels don't have access hatches....and I really doubt whether or not a few grenades would even scratch them, even if they were thrown inside. I mean, seriously, those things resisted nuclear attacks. Forget grenades, you need an entire lance of longinus to take one of those freaks down.

As for neutralizing AT fields, the AT field, in concept, is just the barrier dividing one individual from everything else outside him/her. Getting through that is basically just like trying to mind-read, i.e. breaking through that individuality barrier.

Background: An enhanced clone of Ayanami Rei, mixed with the DNA of Chao, Wu Fei and Evangeline, that was created by Chao after discovering that she is an Angel/Human hybrid with an S2 Engine. Is very loyal to Chao, as she was made as a backup plan in case Evangeline didn't want to lend Chachamaru for her campaign. Due to the overly mixed DNA, her powers are weaker than the original, and more of a Jack-of-all-trade, and can only reach about 80-90% of the original's true potential.

Which reminds me, I don't mind double posts. So all of you could continue the story at your own discretion without having to wait for other people to post.

Definitely, imagine Chao have the power of Angel, Science and Magic at her disposal, the difficulty for Negi and gang would increase significantly for the School festival and Chao's campaign. I'm feeling evil and villian like at the moment. :evil:

Just make sure you're familiar with the events already unfolding in the story thread. You'll find that Chao's plans take a back seat in a sense.

Welcome aboard Arii (much easier than typing out your whole name). :)

And believe me, if you feel like being a villain you're going to need to do a lot more than follow Chao's original campaign. Especially since, should any of the other organizations decide that Chao's actions hinder their own plots they will undoubtedly try to stop her.

Revived enough? btw, I wrote a bit of EI's post. Well, I must say this RP is a bit slower than Mayhem at the TFF. Perhaps cause it's less random. C'mon people, chaos is good for you :snigger:

Now the question is, who should win the race? Eterna or Haruhi? I vote for Haruhi!

Ok, since we're playing Holy Grail here, we should introduce our servants, if any, here.

DAA already has one, apparently. What about everyone else?

I'm half-tempted to make Al Azif my servant, under a new class - Death, Grim Reaper, or Shinigami.

Then again, I should probably let AMM have her as my character's already a shinsou vampire.

Everyone else?
