Well, that makes things more interesting.
Play dumb then.

Well, the Heartless is basically darkness made manifest, right? I assumed that the darkness could also possess, say, about 10 action figures, buff them with the power of darkness, and kick my ass all over the place.

Well, in KH2 they manage to possess a door and the ballroom, but one could argue that as a bit specialized or exception rather than the rule.

Yo. Finally back on a stable computer, so I may join in on this, if only because the format is normal and easy to use, rather than story based. Won't be able to log in much, but you can easily attribute that to my need to exterminate any infestations with fire.

Just for convenience, I'm wonderinf if we should organize people into classes. There's only three real ones I can come up with, but if you guys don't want to use classes (they're only there to describe skill sets and set people apart more anyway), that's fine.

1: Warrior- Self explanatory. Weapons user. Very strong. In order to become really good, you'll need to train under a real weapons user/master (not very possible) or just get that good through experience. And you'll have plenty of things to get experience against.

2: Mage- In order to join this class, you have to learn from another mage or a grimoire/thing that teaches magic. Not as strong as a weapons user, but being there to give support via fireball to take that flying enemy down, or to heal people up from fights is a very useful skill.

3: Gummi Pilot- You fly the ships and run mission support. I don't think we're going to have a lot of these, especialy seeing as we probably won't get a ship for a while, and then the pilot has to learn how to fly it on top of everything else. On the other hand, these guys will be one of our most potent resources. Once we get one, these guys'll probably go after people marooned on worlds classified as dangerous or that have a large Heartless population. Plus, you'll be running mission support with insturments on board the ship.

Everyone starts off as a warrior since the other classes require something that won't be available for a while. Learn melee combat first, every one.

So, what do you guys think? Should we use this template or no?

Quick note, I'm a guy who doesn't keep up with the news (In fact, the economic situation was a surprise when I heard about it a couple of weeks ago), so I'm clueless. Hence my current post.

Also Melee? With that flamethrower? Surely not.

We can play classes by ear for a while, honestly we'll all end up specializing anyway so I don't feel it's too necessary to spell it out.

What we do need is a ETA for the end of the world and each person should choose where they wanna go. I'd prefer that we fly solo for a while to keep the rping easy, but if you know someone and can make it work, more power to you.

Personally, I'd like to land in Guardia, Lavos works well as the biggie and after words Lucca could probably rig the time machine with the itouch to make a transporter.

Also, I'm in Cali, so Shade, if your planning EVENTS try and keep folk in similar timezones together to ease the IM process.

Edit: Also, NGD, it's cool if you grab a flamethrower, but make sure to keep it realistic. Remember that you need gas and RP accordingly. Also, those fuckers are heavy so you may need a car to get around which would make your fuel situation really dicey.

I'm thinking a very unconscious NGD lands on a train, and makes it to old Yen Sid's place, then asks the forum why, when he woke up after having to battle with a mob of large bodies and soldiers with a crazy hobo with a large weapon's stock and quite a few pieces of rather interesting equipment, he was drinking tea with a guy from freaking Fantasia.

Got the fuel issue dude (Transmutated items FTW! Though I'll still have to be conservative, as it's still not going to be infinite). Luckily knowing how to make things burn is a valuable attribute for conservation. Hence why some of that equipment is going to come in handy.

Keep those Red Balad's away though.

Well, TFF is about six hours a head of me, and I was planning on using that as 'Official' time. But, if you can recomend a better time system to coordinate with, I'm listening.

Also, about the events I'm planning, some of them are only for one world, some affect all worlds, and some are what I'm going to call 'mission' types. The mission types will operate on us planning and executing something (like, say a raid on the hollow bastion library, or going to bail out a TFFer of some REALLY hot water). The mission types will be the most difficult, since they'll require either a planned time for people to interact via IM, or a thread of their own to RP in a more traditional manner. Which'll probably require another thread for profiles... gah, should I scrap the mission ideas?

Oh, also, if you have ideas for missions, feel free to post them.
Also, currently planning the end of the world for 12:00am TFF time.

Nah, TFF time is good. I just want to make sure these is some standard time. What I was hinting at is that missions should be assigned to people in the same timezone to ease the IM process.

Ugh, organizing by local time zone. That's going to be a pain. It might be easier just to make the multiple threads for them.
Of course, I still have plenty of time. I can't really do missions until we actually get off world, and even then, they probably won't happen until we start getting closer to the 'endgame' cause it'll take that long to get the resources to pull them off.
Hmm. Should I make another thread for updating on what worlds and magic teachers are available, or just post those in this thread?

Make a separate thread. It'll keep things organized. This can be for more general blather.

I'm just gonna say it, we should make sure that we don't get too much info from the 'unreleased game' it's kind of a cop-out. Ya dig?

Allright then. What's been released is more than enough anyway.

Hey all, Watashiwa has been busy (stupid school), but I'm in. I'll be playing a WEWY-style mage class, as in my collection of pins (think "battle pogs") transmutated into a set of psychic spells. Initial power: psyblade.

I'll be headed to wherever Shaderic's heading. Sound okay?
