Those fics don't qualify. The communities only host stuff from the main site.

That sucks ass. Given that those fics are classics and came from an era before FF.net rose to popularity. :p

I'll have to protest Redefined Honor being in the archive. Not only is Ranma extremely OOC but the guy had the awdasity to screw with Ryoko's character as I write in my review to the guy Ryoko is many things, uncultured, a drunkard, crass, rude, with a dark painful past and attitude to match but it can not be said that she was ever anything but faithful to and with eyes only for Tenchi - that this screwball of an author has her looking at Ranma and slipping into his bed practically naked in less than a week is both OOC and disgusting, Lke I said Ryoko is anything but unfaithful to Tenchi I don't think any of you would disagree with me when I say that for all her faults she was drop dead not going anywhere IN LOVE WITH TENCHI.

To see this author not only fucking over Ranma's personality but RYOKO'S is an insult to fanfiction and both series in general. I want this fic GONE from our archive.

Ryoko was dreaming. Where once she had only dreamed of Tenchi's corpse and the overwhelming grief she had felt, she now increasingly dreamed of the future and the hope she felt. She still dreamed of Tenchi and the happy times they had together, but more and more often, Ranma's face replaced that of Tenchi's.

She tried telling herself that she only stayed with him and helped him on his training journey out of gratitude. Gratitude for preventing her from making a dreadful mistake. Yet, like Tenchi, he seemed to have that na?ve compassion that drew people together. A few days had become a week and then stretched a little longer than that.

But most of all, she enjoyed their sparing matches and his stories. Somehow her life didn't seem that bad compared to some of his stories. Though she knew that much like she did, he held back a few things. Despite knowing her age, he still thought that she was from earth, even after what she said meeting the Old Ghoul. Ryoko choked back laughter thinking of that. Ayeka had always loved calling her something like that, but compared to that mummy, well she still had more than a few years on her.

"Aya! What too too old brawler girl doing in airen's bed?!?"

Ryoko teleported from his bed, but not before Ranma had awoken with wide eyes. He stared at Shampoo and then Ryoko. Shampoo was dressed in what seemed to be her underwear, revealing her intention to do just what she had accused Ryoko of doing.

"What did you call me you over developed bimbo?!?," Ryoko yelled, ignoring the fact that Ranma was just standing there staring at her own and Shampoo's state of undress.

Shampoo pulled out her bonbori from somewhere and took an aggressive stance. "You is hearing me too too old hag."

Ranma's eyes started twitching at the quickly degenerating situation. Ryoko started to manifest a fireball while saying "Let's go bimbo."

Ranma started to back away. He had learned the hard way not to interfere in women's fights, especially when the insults started flying and they were excellent martial artists.

Ranma blinked as a rabbit-like creature suddenly burst from the edges of the light emitted from the campfire and landed on Ryoko's shoulder. She didn't even blink. It was almost as if she was expecting it. Weird.

"Meeeeooooowwwww," it screeched just as Ryoko launched herself at Shampoo. Not that Ranma saw any attack as he had started running as soon as the 'cabbit' had opened its mouth. "Its happening again! All over again!," he screeched and laughed madly as he ran.

Ryoko and Shampoo stopped a foot away from each other and stared at the spot where Ranma had disappeared. "Maybe we should finish this later," Ryoko offered as she left to retrieve her clothes. She had heard some of his stories, but hadn't realised it had been that bad. She was worried about her new friend.

Shampoo continued to stand in the middle of the campsite wondering what just happened.

And really, Ryoko has no reason to call Shampoo over developoed.

Wow... glad I don't go to the C2... both the last two removal suggestions are ones I've quite liked.

Oh well.

... you liked them? explain to me how you LIKED them, really.
Personally, I vaguely remember reading Hell Hath No Fury a long time ago and thinking that it was enjoyable.

But then, I've never worried terribly about the OOCness of Ranma characters, given that I've never been a Canon Nazi and I've found several of the myriad character interpretations that can be found in the fandom to be interesting in their own right.

Frankly, for as long as there are no gross and entirely unjustified violations of power levels, I'm unlikely to care all that much.

This... I can't even finish the first chapter. It's just badly written.
And I like redo fics.

Let me quote the author's summary:
HIATUS Not happy with it. Probably scrapping it. Move along.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3695087/1/Larc...d_Luna_Lovegood
I object on the basis that in 74 chapters, where I finally gave up on reading anything written by Rorscharch's blot, he actually made me hate Luna.

This fic? Seriously?
It's basic DisobedienceWriter stuff, which means horrific OOC on the parts of every character, mostly involving hilarious stupidity on the part of anyone who isn't Harry and especially Dumbledore.

I don't actually have an objection to any of these being on the C2 (and if
Transcending Time isn't on there, it should be), but JohnnyG abandoned fic
writing and those are mostly deleted, though adopted by other authors.

Alright, since I've recovered my internet connection, I think I finally managed to catch up to most of what I missed these last few months. Now I can finally maintain the C2.

I read through a few of the complaints and removed some of the offending fics. Some of them are still here, simply because I don't think the protest was strong enough. Well, except for one.

Prepare for a long winded spiel that will attempt to justify my despotism.

You're dreaming if you think I'm going to remove Bob Lobster's Hell Hath no Fury. You might as well forget about it right now, because it's not going to happen. I'm aware that you might not like it. You have the option of demanding an explanation as to how it can possibly be enjoyable to read. Unfortunately, in the end, you'll have to deal, because it's not going anywhere. Now, it may not seem terribly fair, and you just might be right.

Now, I could point out that a few other members have vouched for this fic, but that really isn't the reason I'm opposing this. In other words, I wouldn't have removed it even if no one had said anything.

I don't really care about all these other fics because I don't really like them and I never bothered to read them, but I recognize that my standards are obscenely high and that it would be unfair to everyone if I judged all candidates according to them.

That's why I allow fics I don't personally like into the C2, because it would be unreasonable to not do so. There are currently 673 fics in the C2 267 of which are under my name and some of them I added because other people posted them, here or somewhere else. I'd say that about 180 of them are here because I actually liked them and keep in mind that I've read a lot of fics in a lot of fandoms since I started about 11 years ago.

Now, keeping in mind that my tastes are hard to satisfy, also realize that, if I enjoy a fic, chances are that it is a good one for one reason or another. Hell hath no fury is the 57th fic added to the C2. I liked it a whole lot. I'm not saying that my judgment is absolute, but I am saying that my judgment is qualified.

All I ask, before you submit a fanfic for removal, is that you consider a few things.

First and foremost, what is wrong with the fanfic? And second, are those errors truly grounds for dismissal? As in, will 50% or more of TFF's members not like it because of those reasons?

If you cannot adequately answer those questions about a fic, then you probably shouldn't ask me to remove it, because I probably won't do it. Well, unless I haven't read it or didn't like it, in which case I'll probably try to read it, get annoyed after a paragraph or two, and chuck it the hell out.

In any case, the case against Hell Hath no Fury has ended. The verdict? Not Guilty.

And Lobster? If you're listening (and alive)...

It's been six years. Don't you think it's time to write some more? I sure do.

If you're going to talk good Ranma fics, you need to read Zen's Bitter end ( http://www.pishoque.net/brian/archives/zen/bitter.htm ) or Ill met by Starlight ( http://www.thekeep.org/~mike/imbs.html ) by Susan Doenime and Mike Loader.

I would point out Bliss, but apparantly, Lara Bartram's site is gone.
Bitter End is one of the single most OOC angsty pieces of drivel ever imposed on the Ranma Fanfic community, whose love is perpetuated by Akane Bashers.

Gah.
It's also a masterful piece of work. And I say this not as someone who knows Zen but as someone who read it when it came out.

It is a well written enough piece that is absolutely incongruous to the Ranma Universe. It would fit well as an Original work, because that is precisely what it is...just with anime character names thrown in.

Bitter End was more of an experiment with putting the situations in Ranma 1/2 into a serious setting, imo. Personally I preferred Bateman's unfinished "The Long and Winding Road" far more.

That said, it was good writing, creative interpretation of characters aside.

Okay seriously WHO THE HELL decided this was good material?

It's for a Good Cause, I swear!

oh dear gods MY EYES!!
What's so bad about it? I mean, it's certainly not a masterpiece but I wouldn't rate it eye-gougingly awful.

But while we're on this subject I'd appreciate if we got rid of Partially Kissed Hero, and anything else by Perfect Lionheart which somehow got in. Everytime I see it my heart shrivel a little more.

It was posted in the Naruto section. That's likely how it got there. And maybe it's because I read each chapter as they came out, but I enjoyed it.

Well, I wasn't the one who added It's for a good cause to the community, but apparently it has too much support to remove. Personally I didn't get past the second paragraph, but whatever.

As for Perfect Lionheart, I decided to remove his fics from the archive regardless of the amount of support he has. I'd forgotten that a number of people here have had a few negative experiences with that author. Not everyone, but enough to color his view of our board. That, combined with the fact that his fics really do suck, was enough for me to start enforcing a ban.

From this day forwards, anything from Perfect Lionheart will be immediately removed from the community, no questions asked. Unless of course he starts writing like Dan or something.
