I woudn't call my post a support, per se. The fic was readable and got a few laugh out of me, but it hardly qualify for the community supposed charter. I might also have completely zapped the first chapter. I thought the fic is average and wanted to know why it got such a strong reaction out of people. if you guys want it out, I won't oppose it.

And since I'm asking for opinions, what do you guys think of this one?

:huh!: :jawdrop: Its actually done well, while not OMG its awesome (haven't read more than 4 chapters) its not great but it IS good.

"SHUT UP FREAK!" Vernon bellowed from below, "We are laughing at the nerdy people playing Jeopardy. Now be quiet."

Harry continued to roll and twitch until he finally passed out. When he woke up, he sneezed. Magic flew out of his nose and hit the mirror. As it slowly dripped down, the mirror yawned, looked up and said "Goodmorning. Thanks for waking me up. Oh my, you should do something about that hair."

"Harry can't do anything about it," Harry snapped, then clasped his hands over his mouth.

"When did I start talking in the third person?"

He heard noise outside his door and all locks were being unbolted.

"Harry," Remus Lupin said, "I am to bring you to Headquarters."

The worried look on Lupins face didn't escape Harry.

"Alright, Professor Loopy sir," he nodded. "I am sorry! Professor Lupin."

Lupin sighed. "That's alright, Harry. Now we need to Apparate.."

You know what? This is the last straw. Nothing can excuse this. Either he doesn't care or he isn't on the forum often enough to know about the many complaints he's earned. I'm tired of cleaning up after him.

For the record as it were:
1. I mostly hang out in the Harry Potter section of this forum.
2. Most of the fics that I added were from the recomendation and updated fics section in the same Harry Potter section on this site.
3. I have removed some of the fics that I had earlier added, so I know how to do that on ff.net.
4. I have not recieved any recent complaints in the PM section of my ff.net account. Period.
5. I have no messages in my Inbox on this forum. Period.
6. Some of the fics that I added may not neccessarily be liked very well by myself or by the readers of this particular subsection of The Fanfiction Forum, but are highly recomended in other sections of the Fanfiction Forum.
7. Anything that is Naruto related is in my opinion a piece of crap. Though that is mostly because I know a great deal about the history of the Naruto story line and what American companies did to pervert and americaize the storyline. Therefore, I never added any Naruto fics to the Fanfiction Forum.
8. The above quote was from a funny little oneshot. Complete, well written, no glaring spelling or grammar mistakes, and from an author that was recommended for one of his other stories.

"AAHAHHHHHH!!!!! What is happening to me?!?!" Harry jumped up and down on his bed at 4 Privet Drive, scratching and twisting.

"SHUT UP FREAK!" Vernon bellowed from below, "We are laughing at the nerdy people playing Jeopardy. Now be quiet."

Harry continued to roll and twitch until he finally passed out. When he woke up, he sneezed. Magic flew out of his nose and hit the mirror. As it slowly dripped down, the mirror yawned, looked up and said "Goodmorning. Thanks for waking me up. Oh my, you should do something about that hair."

"Harry can't do anything about it," Harry snapped, then clasped his hands over his mouth.

"When did I start talking in the third person?"

He heard noise outside his door and all locks were being unbolted.

"Harry," Remus Lupin said, "I am to bring you to Headquarters."

The worried look on Lupins face didn't escape Harry.

"Alright, Professor Loopy sir," he nodded. "I am sorry! Professor Lupin."

Lupin sighed. "That's alright, Harry. Now we need to Apparate.."

You know what? This is the last straw. Nothing can excuse this. Either he doesn't care or he isn't on the forum often enough to know about the many complaints he's earned. I'm tired of cleaning up after him.

The only issue I have with a mass erasure is that some fics we've never seen before might legitimately be enjoyable.

The problem is that everyone's idea of quality varies.

Everyone gushes about Kafka ex Machina and I'm of the opinion that it's shit. Half the GRIMDARK Harry Potter stuff I consider shit, even stuff like Sitra Atha. If I had my way, most of the stuff on the C2 would be axed. Also, Recodan's microfics thing needs to go NOW.

For the record as it were:
1. I mostly hang out in the Harry Potter section of this forum.
2. Most of the fics that I added were from the recomendation and updated fics section in the same Harry Potter section on this site.
3. I have removed some of the fics that I had earlier added, so I know how to do that on ff.net.
4. I have not recieved any recent complaints in the PM section of my ff.net account. Period.
5. I have no messages in my Inbox on this forum. Period.
6. Some of the fics that I added may not neccessarily be liked very well by myself or by the readers of this particular subsection of The Fanfiction Forum, but are highly recomended in other sections of the Fanfiction Forum.
7. Anything that is Naruto related is in my opinion a piece of crap. Though that is mostly because I know a great deal about the history of the Naruto story line and what American companies did to pervert and americaize the storyline. Therefore, I never added any Naruto fics to the Fanfiction Forum.
8. The above quote was from a funny little oneshot. Complete, well written, no glaring spelling or grammar mistakes, and from an author that was recommended for one of his other stories.

3. Not helping you. You're basically telling me that you truly believe that every fic you've added to the C2 deserves to be there.
4. Of course you haven't. No one can separate fics by staff member aside from staff members. And even if they could, everyone here is too passive to do anything about it. In any case, as a staff member, they don't really have to go to you anyway. You're supposed to go to them. The quality of the C2 has been an issue for a long while now. Saying "I didn't know" isn't good enough.
5. What can I say? Your post count is very low, and you've no fics to your name. You're essentially a lurker.
6. I've seen no evidence to back up this claim.
7. Irrelevant. We're not questioning your taste because of fics you haven't added.
8. Funny is relative, completeness is irrelevant and it is most definitely not well written. If this is what you consider to be well written then your judgment is clearly inadequate.

See here, I understand that everyone's tastes are different, and I try to take that into account. I am an amateur writer of questionable talent, but I do put some effort into what I write. Raw Power offends my sensibilities. Perhaps I'm just being an elitist here, but I want no part of such a thing. Boundaries have to be drawn, and this is where mine stand.

But of course, in this place, majority rules (unless Hawk puts his foot down). If you can gather enough support among the members then I'll let you do whatever you want. But see, it can't just be any member. Lurkers don't count. Writers and reviewers are what this community is built around, so their input will be carefully considered. Either find some authors to back you up, or people with high post counts. If you can't do that, then don't bother complaining.

3. Just as an example: there was a harry potter fic that I removed last month because the writing had turned into garbage. The Serpent Court

5. You've obviously never tried looking up my ff.net account. I do have stories on there, though as a staff member I couldn't add my own stories to the C2.

7. I did add numbers 77 and 78. The author of which led to a different staff member to later add some of her Naruto fan-fics to the C2. Some fic that was previously complained about in this thread.

# 32 - Doghead Thirteen - his fiction is usually well written, a lot of people like his work, but he never finishes anything and he stops writing promising fics for strange reasons.
#243 - Unsung Hero - Many liked this fic until the ending. As such I didn't add the sequel.

Hey all. Just to let you know, since I've been privy to many discussions about the overall low quality of the C2, and have gotten sick and tired of the bitching and abuse heaped on it, I've asked to be added to C2 staff. I've started going through and marking fics of lower quality for deletion, based on the C2's mission statement: nothing but the best.

This means that fics that lack proper grammar and sentence structure get the axe automatically. If you guys don't mind, going through your additions and removing stories that aren't absolute paragons would be a big help. Again, the criteria is "nothing but the best"!
