I finally got around to watching the preview and I have to say, I'm interested. It looks like it could be a more low-key story (i.e. conflicts on a smaller scale than something planet-wide or such). With something that it, I'm okay with a new main character, especially if the show gets to focus on some details of the world. And something on that level could even excuse how little of the main Nanoha cast is showing up (as of now) - they might really be too 'big' for this conflict. Though, if Fuuka is going to be going against straight up gangs and such, then of course in the back of my mind I am thinking, like, "why doesn't Vita or Signum or such just spend an afternoon or two cleaning up the streets"?
Maybe I am nitpicking with this, but there is something I want to point out - the bullies at the start of the video were all male, and I think the whole gang, from what I could see, was male. And something like that seems kind of...easy, you know? Almost...basic, you know? This series has never had a problem having female bad guys as well as good, and I mean, I guess it was never explicitly stated - only humorously assumed - that Midchilda is 95% female, but that detail just sort of feels...off. Between that, the straight-up gun that gets shown, and really the idea of a gang in the first place, I'm wondering what the agenda is there or if the details of the world might get changed up somewhat just...because.
But still, I'm interested, and if it's a strong outing then it's very appreciated. Someone on another website commented on this that 'the Nanoha series is dead now' - I don't think so, but I do think it needs a strong, solid, concise outing. I haven't read any of the manga, but both ViVid and Innocent seem to be kinda just rolling along, and the ViVid anime, by nature, is a case of 'welp, wait for season 2 to keep that going'. Force, of course, just stalled out. So yeah, another one-season show with decent pacing, a beginning, middle, end, and idea for how to get there is really what I want to see.
