It was a rushed ending. The forced cancellation bell is strong here.
I felt that, too.

The real world isn't so nice and neat with its endings.
Didn't this just happen? I do agree that there are some things that needed a proper closing door, but what you're asking for here pretty much happened.
I meant one of the losers not taking so well to the losing. In fact, you'd think there would be a HUGE issue as the goddesses were fighting among themselves when they all got together over Keima, and now, they're all peachy about it? Hell, the only goddess to appear at all was Diane, and largely because Tenri needed a "You're not alone" pep talk after carrying around her rejection letter for nearly ten years. It wasn't even a kind rejection letter, either; no "regretful" or any such tone.
But I'm getting off track.
While we had Chihiro/Keima heartbreak, we could have gotten another story about what happens when you break a goddess's heart, or the heart of her vessel. Because while Chihiro possessed no power, a goddess certainly could have made life very difficult for Keima. Alternately, the loss affects her very being, and Keima has to once again restore her, though now there's an additional risk of losing what he was seeking with Chihiro.
Overall, as others point out, it's not a very satisfying conclusion, and really I felt Chihiro was the least interesting of the girls involved. No one particular favorite (I favored the "All Goddesses" ending, to be honest), but at the least it didn't go Keima/Elsa, as I hate "first girl wins" and "falling in love with the person that gives me all this trouble I never wanted" plot points.
