As for changing over to the Horde... I'm kinda bummed that it took this long to come up with this since we've all spent so much time working these chars. There's no way I'd want to maintain two sets of characters so if we make the plunge, then it will be a one-way thing for me.
I'd PREFER PvE for the following reasons:
1) I personally have yet to see the advantage to PvP servers. We can still raid cities on PvE and if it's a main city, then the residents will be in home territory and unmarked anyways. So far, we've led few raids on mid-level contested cities, and when we get high enough to do them, we'll be slaughtering them without honor anyways.
2) if you think ganking is annoying on a low pop server, how bad will it be with three times the people, most being lvl 60+? I'm not sure I want to spend that much time rez'ing and running from one-shots or from gank groups that happen to be questing in the areas I'm in. Motivation to level up? Maybe. But it also kills the fun I have in the game since I can't level when I'm hiding.
3) Once we make it to 60+ and can defend ourselves better, how many chars that are going to go after us are going to slaughter us due to the fact that they have the epic armor or twinks? Might this also not be the case for lower levels on higher pop servers? Yes, this can be remedied by PvP bg's, which are the same in PvP and PvE servers, are they not?
So far, I've found that most people who've ganked me on PvP have been spiteful bitter people that sit around my corpse and laugh, or one-shotters that gain nothing from the action. Either way, it shows a rather disturbing vindictiveness that seems to be born of the PvP process itself. "I've been ganked and crapped on, so why not do it to others, ne?" I've even caught myself thinking that way a couple times, and I'm not particularly fond of it.
I welcome discussion/criticism to these viewpoints and in fact encourage them since I'm still a PvP noob.
If we go PvE horde, I could transfer a char or two over from Norgannon for some cash to start the guild. I think I have about 100g between my two highest chars there.
