Um, no on the Jack being his brother. Considering here Wuya had him 1500 years ago and was still sealed as in canon he's not exactly brother material. A many times great-nephew perhaps if Wuya had another kid as a Heylin, but not a brother. Still the whole concept does get me thinking.
Wuya scowled as she retreated from the battlefield deprived once more of her Shen Gong Wu. Although the reason for her scowl had more to do with the look on the young Water Dragon's face than it did with her actual defeat. In all fairness, she knew better than to team up with the likes of Hannibal Bean and expect success. The worthless excuse for a demon hadn't had a true success since corrupting Chase Young. But still, he had a plan that would put her near the Dragon Warriors, and in doing so, put her close to her son, Omi.
Omi, such an insignificant name for someone so important. If only she could get close enough to talk to him. To let him know of their connection. To let him know that she still... no.
No, she would not think like that. Those bridges were burned away long ago. Burned by her own actions as she searched for him. As she joined the very Heylin sect that had stole her precious wonder away from her in an attempt to find him. The fact that Dashi, Omi's father, could allow himself to lock her away in a puzzle for a millennium and a half was proof enough that she could never go back.
And yet still, the look in Omi's eyes seemed to cut through the years of resentment and self-recrimination like a dagger of ice in her heart. He wasn't even looking at her, dammit! He was looking forlornly as that miserable excuse for a Fire Dragon Kimiko flirted with Raimundo. You would think that her one-time ally would have better taste, never mind her own son! But no, both desired the video game obsessed little tart. Pity that she only had eyes for Raimundo. Omi was obviously the superior specimen. Look how much he took after Dashi.
Wuya growled as she shook that thought from her head. She hated Dashi. Hated him with a passion that had even eclipsed the love of their youth. It all started with that bald-headed arrogant ass. He made her fall in love with him. He got her pregnant. He wasn't there to protect their child as Omi was stolen away. He failed to join her in the search for their child because of his duties. He forgot about her. He locked her away. He STOPPED LOVING HER
Wuya didn't even take notice of the copse of trees around her that were reduced to flaming cinders from the emerald flames dancing in her hands.
This was pointless. Who cared what those pale shadows of REAL Dragon Warriors did? The only one of them worth anything was Omi. Maybe she could draw him away from those fools before they made things any worse for him? Perhaps setting him up on a date with that nice Katnappe girl? Or if he prefers someone "good" then Jack's cousin Megan was growing into an attractive little thing. Decisions, decisions. Oh well, save that for another time.
For now, she had to return to her current hideout to recover from the battle. The last thing she wanted was to be caught out too long and have to deal with Chase. She was only now regaining the majority of her power and the last thing she needed was her former comrade in arms getting in her way. With that in mind Wuya took to the air, hoping the flight would purge her of some of the ghosts of the past that always haunted her.
And in the distance a stoic former Dragon Warrior nodded to himself as he watch the Heylin Witch take flight. He could sense the conflict brewing within Wuya. He could feel her fighting it, but it seemed that perhaps Dashi had been right. Maybe, given time, she could be saved. At this point no one could say for certain. But in whatever passed for Chase Young's lost soul, he hoped for her sake and that of his potential apprentice that it was possible. It was time for this conflict to come full circle and be brought to a close, one way or another.
