Awsome Game Deals

Nintendo 3rd party Devs are the focus of the Humble Bundle this month. All games are for the Wii U and 3DS.

There are a few decent titles, including Retro City Rampage, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Affordable Space Adventure, Freedom Planet [which very badly wants to be an old school Sonic game], Street Fighter IV 3D, Darksiders II, and a few other indie titles, including some that haven't unlocked yet.

The top tier price is $13, and the lower rung is just under $10 as of this posting. A few are either 3DS or Wii U, but some are for both.

Nabbed this one myself because I wanted some stuff for the 3DS to play during bathroom time.

Humble Bundle is having their spring sale. It's basically a steam sale , but some of your money goes to charity.

The last few sales, I have had to call upon supreme willpower to ignore them and play the games I haven't finished (or even started).

If you don't already have it, or just want a DRM free copy, System Shock 2 is free on GoG for the next 23 hours or so as of this post.

The XBox One-S is available for preorder; starts at #299 for the 500GB version; price rises $50 - $100 for the 1TB/2TB versions.

For anyone who wants an XBONE but doesn't have one. Or who wants one with '4K Ultra HD Video and High Dynamic Range'.

I was arguing with my brother about this announcement and have a question - is this ONLY a 'slim' xbone or an actual upgrade as well (similar to the PS4.5) ?

Apparently Gears of War developers are claiming that the new slim model has "additional processing power" over the original Xbox One. Microsoft refuses to confirm or deny this claim. Some sources are saying the consoles internals are the same as the old version, others are saying the additional processing power will only apply to HDR games. I don't know what to believe.

The only other things we know for sure is that the controllers now have bluetooth and they apparently have completely abandoned the Kinect because they've actually removed the Kinect port. Wow, that's kind of sad. Poor Kinect.

Kinect is a fantastic device for everything except playing videogames.  Building their original console vision around it was a massive misstep.

Good Old Games is having it's summer sale.

There's too many good deals to list all of them, but if you haven't gotten it, buy Vampire; the Masquerade: Bloodlines for 10 bucks.

Oh, and yet again, KSB is only 40% off. I've waited years for this to go under 10, and despite being 5 (maybe?) years old, the owner still refuses to price it below that point.

Broforce just popped up on GoG and is currently $5.99.

It's worth every penny of that, and has the same sensibility as Team America World Police. Fun stuff and hyper masculinity to absurd levels with characters who parody action films from the 80s and 90s. Think Metal Slug, but with Terraria's destructability.

Levels are short, but it's a very satisfying game. Every time you 'die' you switch to a random 'bro' rather than respawn as the same character, and each one has a different weapon set. You start with just one, but unlock more by rescuing POWs in the same manner as Metal Slug. Pretty sure you don't spawn as the same 'bro' until you've cycled through whoever you have unlocked. You can't kill yourself with your own primary weapon shots, even if you're shooting rockets, but environmental explosions can take you out, and tend to chain. You also have a secondary and melee attack as well, the secondary attack is some sort of grenade usually. Grenade explosions can kill you.

Recommend this if you've not played it. It's mindless destruction with an absurd parody dressing.

So Humble Bundle has an E3 bundle out right now that let's you try out the Monster Hunter Generations if you pay at the 4 dollar tier.

I have to say, the addition of Hunter Skills and Arts really makes gameplay a lot more dynamic.

What do they actually do?  A 3DS gets ever more tempting.

They are basically different styles to use the weapons, from what I heard (didn't get the code from e-mail, and the MHG is the only think I'd want from this HB). 4 for each of the 14 weapons.

Question, I found a copy of Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition for 120 bucks at a local shop, should I buy it or just buy the normal game. Online the other copies are at 200 bucks, so it's very tempting, but I am not really sure if the extra stuff is worth the 40 extra bucks compared to just buying the normal game. Then again having a physical copy of stuff is good too.

So any help?

There's only two reasons I'd buy that. The first would be to flip it. You could make a cool $80 in profit. Probably more, even.

The second reason is to share with people you know. I'm lending my copy out to my ex-roommate (he's paying for drinks) and one or two more people later on.

If you want the game just for yourself, buy your preferred version and the other two routes as DLC. Hope that helps!
