If this is released after the Isshin fight is aired he might be the main fighter in the final battle. But neither of those scenarios is likely to happen.

If this movie was Isshin and Ichigo ripping through hell together to get Yuzu back it would be awesome, so there's no way that's going to happen.

Would that make Renji Luigi, the useless guy who occasional tries to one up the real hero?

Sure sounds like him doesn't it?

I mean the only thing that he didn't fuck up was that one fight against that one arrancar way at the beginning of that arc.

And that's it.

He couldn't win the fight against the Espada, EVEN WITH Ishida's help.

He got WTF pwned by Byakuya.

And he fucked up when his only task was to run away with Rukia.

To be fair, Tousen cheated when he pulled out his random teleporting spinny towel.

But it was due to plothax. Granted plothax in moderation and thus forgivable, as compared to the complete tripe Aizen pulled consistently for the last 40 or so chapters, but plothax none the less.

Admittedly though he probably would have been boned anyway, but at least he still would have made a reasonable effort to escape as opposed to basically having gotten her right back where she started from due to random teleporty towel. Which made him fail at both escaping with her, and getting her away from the hill at the same time.

Then again Renji does always seem to try to fail in only the most spectacular ways so it was probably inevitable.

Ishida can take that title too.

Ishida beat two of his opponents. One of them Captain Class, the other one a Previous Espada.

And he almost took down his actual Espada opponent.

@grant: Ishida's beaten more enemies than Chad has, and more than Orihime has.

And more than every Vice Captain.

The only times he failed he still looked pretty cool before doing it.

Except when Ichigo stabbed him and threw him like a bitch...

Except that it wasn't Ichigo at all, so it doesn't really count and considering that Hollow!Ichigo blew apart Ulquiorra and threw him around like a little bitch. Its a bit unfair to have that comparison against Ishida when he was so unimaginably outclassed in terms of power and ability.

That's like saying you kicked a 5 year old's ass while being 6' 2" and 160lbs. That's not really a triumph, let alone an accomplishment.

So far for impressive wins (practically anyone can beat a vice-captain or elite mook these days) he's managed to beat Mayuri using a technique he can't do again. By the time he got into Hueco Mundo it was pretty much over. He couldn't beat an Espada*, the Arrancar he did beat got killed by someone else and his main contribution to the last fight there was to shoot ineffectual arrows.

Exactly how tall are you? 160 is a bit light for that height.

* Yes said Espada did do everything he could to rig the odds but that still doesn't change the fact that if a captain besides Mayuri had been fighting him Kubo would have given them a way to win.

I'm 6' 1". 140lbs. With an unnaturally fast metabolism.

For the last six years with weekly exercise at least 3x a week of swimming an average of 24 laps at the pool. I can wolf down 3 double quarter pounders with cheese and two medium fries and have all of that burned off by the following morning.

I mean ffs, I could eat a whole tub of ice-cream and gain absolutely NOTHING from it. Except for the sugar rush for those six or so hours.

Huh. I'm 6'2 and weigh just under 200 myself (should get back to bicycling).

The title was for failing the most spectacularly.

The only times he lost, he didn't look pathetic doing it (barring Ichinator anyway). Just off the top of my head; Chad, Renji, Hisagi, Kira, Rukia, Matsumoto and Ichigo himself have failed much harder.

His arrows have been of much much more effect against his opponents then Ichigos Getsuga was against his.

Also, I feel the need to draw attention to this specifically.
the Arrancar he did beat got killed by someone else
You're really grasping here. Did you seriously forget he chose not to kill his opponent on purpose? If anything it's a greater feat than just killing someone with their strongest attack. He defeated her so badly he could just walk away without fear of repercussion.

Yuzu Kidnapped confirmed. They seem to be attempting to make it a big deal about the hollow thing, couldn't care less. Chad is there, fighting the red one from what I can tell...

Then later Renji in bankai is fighting it. >>

Also Pat appears, albeit apparently via flashback. And it recaps the hands down worst fight in Bleach apparently. This movie took a nosedive right from the start.

Translated trailer.

Also, as I just noticed this:

"Do not Hollowify in hell, you will go insane and never return to Normal."

Okay, this is a fine reason for Chad not to go to hell. Problem: WHY IN THE BLOOMING HELL IS ICHIGO GOING?!

And don't give me oh, shinigami shouldn't step foot in hell either, bollocks, Renji and Rukia are going, so it can't possibly be that. You know who should be going in that situation? The bloody captains.

Granted, I realize this is purely an excuse for that asinine H2 form and he's going to come back anyway because duh, but there were MULTIPLE better ways to go about it. Hell I could have bought him going in anyway purely to save Yuzu (If Isshin were doing the same), but they seem to be the only force actually entering. That's just retarded. In every conceivable way. Worse than the Zanpakuto arc even.

Hopefully this is one of the things that is changed before release... >>

They do show the captains fighting...but as expected it's Byakuya and Hitsugaya. Music isn't as good as the last one. All in all I might watch it if the fights are good enough, otherwise I'll save the space.
