Okay....I am just getting rolling on Act 2 of this game and it's occuring to me that I may take some time before I can provide a comprehensive review....so my thoughts.
I'm having fun.
Examples:
Sitting in jugment over people who've wronged the Inquisition (though that occurs around the start of what I am calling Act 2)
How oblivious to love Cassandra and Josephine are (Seriously....Cassandra has an excuse but Jose....Sigh)
I'm playing on PS4 so the Combat system is fun for me. I've heared their are some issues with the PC controls but since it's not impacting my expierence I can't comment on them.
The major quests are a lot of fun and have a very epic feel to the,
The ability to **** all over the Chantry, play a religious zealot or land somewhere along that sliding scale.
Being a Qunari....seriously I may never roll human again!
Being a Knight-Enchanter....best way I can describe it...kind of a fusion between a Jedi Knight and Gandalf the White...
Issues:
Between the epic quest they do have a lot of go here do this....but they generally try to spice some of them up with amusing characters or flavor text. I think the intent was to get you off the beaten path, which it does since the Empress of Orlais isn't going to invite you to her soiree if the Inquisition doesn't have the power/influence to earn her attention...things gained by exploring and doing those quests/favors.
Not sure how I feel about combat...I mean it's more fun than either Origins or DA2 to me...but I'm still figuring certain things out
There's a lot more to talk about.....but I'm currently trying to figure out what has happened to the Grey Wardens (I can say....it's looking bad) so yeah....I'll try an write a more comprehensive review later.
Edit:
Armor and weapons mods
Okay, to start with, there is no slot for boots and gloves in the inventory screen. What you do, is take a piece of armor, and apply any boots/gloves you find in the world (or craft in your forge) to that armor, earning you a stat bouns along with a visual alteration of the armor to show you have gloves and boots of a certain type on. It's successful in keeping a unified look for you Inquisitor...but if you were trying to walk out the door and have the people wonder "Who let you dress yourself?" it's a lot harder.
Ah one other thing
