Now, that's where you're wrong. As stated in-game HK-47 is completely loyal to his various masters; it's just that most of them are killed because of extreme bad luck. The only exceptions are the Mandalorian soldier, who was indeed killed by HK, but only after the then current Mandalore reprogrammed the droid; Revan, who was HK's original owner and creator, and the Jedi Exile, who's fate is unknown.

As for the idea of Ritsuko building a 'new' HK-47... :yay: It sure gets my vote. Personally, I think Shinji should become HK's master, purely for the oh-so humerous scenes where HK offeres to blast most of NERV into atoms, and Shinji finds it harder to find reasons not to let him do it as the series progresses. SEELE's invasion of NERV after the last Angel's destruction will be sooooo different with an assassin droid with the penchant for mass carnage on the loose. *Evil laughter*

Ritsuko building HK and Shinji getting him is made of win.

And HK did kill most of his masters, if accidentally. The one before he ended up in the shop attacked him and electrocuted himself by blowing one of his motivators with a fork. The senator tried to stop HK from killing his wife and got in the way of the blaster fire. The hut used him so much that he got assassinated. And you already brought up the unfortunate Mandalorian.

The rather frightening thing about this idea is that given how despite being a blood thirsty, psychotic robot HK-47 is a actually quite smart and is easily capable of twisting most of what Shinji says to suit his own ends or slowly convincing the boy of how itÆs a good thing (as well as fun) to have the droid kill whoever angers him.

Although the arrival of the 12th angel members of NERV are going to be dropping like flies with Ritsuko being the first after she suggests her plan of dumping all the N2 mines onto the angel with Gendo (and Maya possibly) being next during the events of the 13th angel.

If HK is in the NGE world during Seele's attack on Nerv, Asuka has to deal with mass produced Eva's so why not give Hk-47 the same problem of having to deal with a swarm of the later inferior mass produced HK series.

No objections!, but impersonating a human like that would likely offend HK very badly. I imagine genocide after such an act.

Realised I was touting a Naruto idea (and not a particularly original one, it sounds like the MegaMan/Naruto Crossover GH is working on ) in an NGE thread and was gonna change the suggestion to Shinji getting HK, but seems I was beaten to the punch. We all agree Shinji getting HK would be an excellent idea. And I know I liked the thought of the sinister droid slowly warping his master into accepting death and wanton carnage.

For a slight change of pace, what if HK wound up in the hands of Asuka, or Kensuke?

What about Shinji becoming God? it stuck in my mind that he would be the shaper of the world, the Creator/God/Kami-sama/whatever, and thus could be making it a very lonely place, or let it all remain as it was...

what if he sent himself back into his 2 year old self, with the knowledge that was his imbedded... for instance, he could not prevent his mother dying, but instead gained the thirst to bring her back, with the words. "Ich werde sie wieder zum leben bringen, mein Mutter... Vater, du bist tot wenn sie wieder zum leben ist..."

he has the power to shape the world in his image, but goes back in time, because that way, he would be able to get his mom from the EVA and make everything right again...

YEAH RIGHT! soon as he returns, he watches his mom get absorbed by the EVA...

cue in dramatic music...

and we have Shinji who will go slightly mad from hearing her voice in his mind, due to the fact that he has telepathic contact with her, with her acting like a tutor to him...

or something...

and when he gets introduced with Misato, she'll try to get him to... ahem... make the moves on the woman...

and i think that if his status as a God of Mankind comes to light, that Rei would be :hail: to him... or at least... well...

we all know what maniacal fangirls do with the pictures of their idols...
