Well, thought I'd say that Chapter 22's main text is done. Between unresolved issues with characters and, well, EDEN's true purpose... Looks like this one's ended up leveling out somewhere between 17 and 19k words, so a few days revision at least before this sees the light of day. Glad I shifted the rating to M too else I'd really be in trouble for this one. I have already adopted the chapter version system as per Heinz's recommendation both for this chapter and earlier ones.

Does that ship have 5 decks? Since it is Normandy Class variant, I would have thought it would only have 4. Though I could be wrong. I know I saw one story where it only had 3.

Actually (http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Normandy_SR-2) As it was based on a stolen copy of the Cerberus Normandy blueprints, I gave the Thunder Child a deck 5, but the bottom deck was converted to a rec area as opposed to it's shuttle hanger.
Thanks for the typo mention... now up to v1.04 already, luckily nothing major, just three or four typos. And yup, going away for a few days, but knowing me I'll get board and end up whipping out my netbook regardless at some point.

Ahhh... my mistake, I knew of the shuttle deck, though was not counting it in the 4 deck statement. I however also did not make the connection that the shuttle deck was converted to a rec deck.
Probably not a good idea from a mission standpoint, but then again, the original idea when it was built was that it would be pretty much home based off Terminus systems and Omega... not be a primary launch point for incursions (aka pirate activity, which Shinji seems to shy away from calling them).

I'm actually hoping if it comes to verbal threats he tells them off as to what he thinks of their 'enlightened' government and just how they look from his standpoint...
Considering Citadel space does not control the terminus systems, does not defend them, nor is Shinji residing in Citadel space, yet for a government he knows practically nothing about they sure are intrusive and hell bent on *making* him and enemy. After all, he has been kidnapped, assaulted, detained, shot at, had assassination attempts on his life by mercs in citadel space, been browbeaten by C-Sec, been given bad press, Two of the Council outright hate his guts, and now they want to again take his property away, even after when he did them a favor going out of his way and taking out pirates, their ships and their base...
Heh, of course, they may not know Thunder Child is his yet either....
Though with that nice display, they should at least be thankful he has not managed to kill any law abiding citadel space citizens...

Almost done on the latest little section, had to take a break for a week due to falling into the depressed old writers strop before carrying on, but happily 9000 words in.
EDIT: I tell a lie, 9600 words in and done for this bit, spirits lifted muchly. Probably be about 10000 by the time it's edited.

I was unaware that taking the opportunity to listen to active feedback and actively discuss my writing with a few of my readers and provide occasional updates on 10k+word chapters that take weeks to write was frowned upon here, especially when my personal life makes it hard to keep up with my writing and give decent updates.
