When Chrono Trigger DS makes it way to Europe in february I'm buying it instantly. And on a somewhat relevant note:

France, Germany, Italy..

FUCK! YOU!

It's your goddamn fault that Europe is always lagging behind in release dates because you guys can't be bothered with playing games in english.

Sorry guys, just had to vent my frustration, no hard feelings, right?

Oy...don't accuse peoples indiscriminately. The players community of France is just as annoyed then you are, don't put us in the same basket as the jerkfaces who are in charge of this fiasco.

I am convinced that there is little other that can convince a man to pirate than a 4 month wait to get a game.

that and you need a hacked console to play it if the game you're pirating is console oriented.

Most Italian players don't care if they have to play a game in English, so long as they do get to play it. It's more a Squaresoft policy to translate in those other languages - they also translated a bunch of FFs in Italian even though nobody asked them to, and it pissed a lot of fans off.

Here's to hoping that Star Ocean 4's NA release will be dual audio.

Because honestly. "Edge Maverick" is a stupid fucking name for a main character.

What is this? Top Gun?
The RATED R MAIN CHARACTER!!!

ATLUS announces "The Dark Spire" for the Nintendo DS; and it looks amazing.

Classic old-school storyline serves as an excuse to climb a giant tower and smash an army of monster along the way.? Absolutely amazing graphics that can be switched with an 8-bit NES style interface for kicks and giggles.

This might end up another ATLUS "must buy".
Wouldn't it be simpler to just buy every game ATLUS makes? I honestly can't remember the last time a game with 'ATLUS' on the cover sucked. Those guys must be wizards...
Thousand Arms

The dating aspect of the game was amusing, but pretty much everything else about the game sucked. It's the reason why I was hesitant about ATLUS games for a while after that.

Ironically, I loved Thousand Arms. I guess tastes are tastes.

eh, I found it a funny game, but I didn't find the plot or characters very compelling, and found the battle system horrid. But as you said, it's just a matter of personal taste.

I had Thousand Arms and could not stand it, aside from one of the girls (the one that used the hammer)

I loved pretty much every ATLUS game from my PS1 days EXCEPT Hoshigami. I honestly didn't like the coin system because it took too long to master it and when you do, it's effing broken. Have a good enough coin(s) and you can sweep the floor to any opposition. The VA was crap and the story was too short.

For some reason I have no good thoughts for the Dante's Inferno game coming soon. I just can't see it succeeding, even if an awesome developer was behind it. Since it's produced by EA, I also have to deal with that.

I always thought the Divine Comedy would be more like a classic Adventure game, only with fate avoiding being the primary focus. Don't want to get to Malebolge only to discover you really should have brought some long-johns.

I can't even see the protagonist interact with Virgil...

Matches always look bad from an overview. Competition players are also notorious rushers/hard counter players.

They're mainly doing this to prove it has improved macro and micro capabilities over the original Starcraft.

I'm on the fence on whether it's going to be a good or an awesome RTS. Depends on how well this three game, three distinct storyline thing goes. A good campaign eliminates the need for tourney capabilities. It's in alpha still so there is a lot of time for impressing me.

Now, Demigod has to have a good tourney system and capabilities built in. I'm in beta currently and not seeing it when you compare it to DOTA, the thing it's based off of.

You mean squareenix, right? I bought a psp on launch and it just recently stopped reading umds. I've basically got a brick but can still use it as a ps3 remote.

The problem for me isn't how they're playing the game. I like watching tourney games.

The problem is this "This unit annihilates tanks. But it does shit damage to infantry." kind of game balance. I cannot stand that. It looks like it's playing just like Command and Conquer. And I dislike that.

Demigod looks fun. I'm biased, of course, because GPG getting money means SupCom 2 is more likely.

And that Dissidia trailer was kind of cool. Except for the sheer quantity of girlymen. The Tidus/Zidane tag team trick was awesome though.

Lasted longer than me. I gave in when Crisis Core came out. I've been pretty happy with the psp since then.

Prinny: Can I Really be a Hero? and Agito XIII makes the future bright though.

Starcraft had a pure stat system. That video didn't suggest a hard counter system to me. otherwise the heavy terran infantry would have destroyed the stalker in the beginning rather than barely survive. I think they're playing more with attack speeds and damage types than Starcraft, but it still looks like a stat system to me. Just some extras.

Developers are always going to talk in hard counters as they need to think like that in order to balance the game. I think their idea of a hard counter is different than other RTS games.

Otherwise those SCVs/Probes wouldn't be nearly as effective in a fight.

I dunno, they were talking about how the Marauder's weren't as effective against Zealots as they were against... the mechanicals. On the one hand, it could be that the zealots just do significantly more DPS or something, but... it really sounded like that blasted armor/damage type balance.
And that makes me sad.

The video annoyed me. Nothing the protoss player did seemed to matter, at all. And then at the end, the terran player just steam-rolled him.
