Prinny: Can I really be the hero? for the PSP. It comes out in February 2009 and it's a side-scroller. People who've played the Japanese version and they said it's awesome.

Oh yeah, just got my motivation to buy the PC version of Fallout 3.

Her name is...Miracle Shamrot? I'm just transliterating the Japanese pronunciation/spelling, so I could be wrong, but still...Miracle?

On an unrelated note, should I be getting Persona 4? I mean, yeah, it's a Persona game, so it'll automatically be awesome, but I'm a little terrified that six months after release, Atlus will announce a Director's Cut version, and I'll have to buy it AGAIN.

Yeah, Atlus made FES largely because of fans bitching in Japan, IIRC. It was their way of saying 'here's the closure you wanted, now shut up and let us work on the next game'. :p

They have made add-ons once before (Maniax was an add on disc for Nocturne, adding Dante, the Fiends, the Kalpa and more storyline), but that one was a 'thank you' to fans of the game for buying so many copies of Nocturne, while FES was more a 'you asked for it, so here's our take' for P3's ending, with the addition of the massively, widely requested Aigis social links among other things.

So there was Timewave, downloading Armory's The Day of Enlightenment and there he found a gem.

Armory did a Dr. Wily cover. A freakin' Megaman POWER METAL cover.

Who wants it?!
Was that an offer or a comment? If it's the former, please.

I'll be playing White Knight Chronicles once they announce the freaking US release date. :headbanger: anyone hear anything about it?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

This comes from Wikipedia, so it may not be entirely accurate, but while looking for information about a U.S. release of Knights in the Nightmare for the DS, I saw a list of the games in the Depth Heaven (Riviera) series. For episode three (KitN is four, Yggdra two and Riviera one) it said this:

Little information has been revealed regarding Episode III, except that it is currently planned to be a PC MMORPG.
HATEMURDERSMASHRAGE.

I will make them and their kind shed tears of BLOOD if this is true.

I'm guessing it'll be fall 2009 personally. I'm not even sure it's been released in Japan yet.

Anyone here like fansubbed games beyond Mother 3? If so, chances are good that you know of Ghideon Zhi, of Aeon Genesis fame (credits include Shin Megami Tensei, Cave Story, etc.)

I have a habit of lurking on his forums, and I happened across this in a thread about an ultra-secret project he's finishing soon:

Hey Gid, my email bounced so I thought this would be the best place to put this - the dub set is 100% complete and ready for insertion. A couple things:

- Honorifics were mostly included, except for a few battle lines where there just wasn't enough time to work with

- The girl who had volunteered to do Presia and Mio had to bail halfway through. Gerald voiced the rest of their lines, mostly event stuff. I think he did a pretty good job at it
...

THEY'RE DUBBING A FREAKING SUPER ROBOT WARS GAME.

EDIT: Before Ghideon gets spammed, chances are fair that this might be a troll--Ghideon has "professed no knowledge of such a project", which can mean it's going forward and he's trying to be a clever bastard, or he's not doing the dub. :huh.:

Reminder for Persona fans: if you pre-ordered Persona 4 off of the following stores (Gamestop, Amazon, EB (Canada only), and Gamecrazy), then you'll recieve a 100 page artbook along with the game. The staff at ATLUS recommends, however, that if you preordered with a brick and mortar store, you should call in advance to make sure that they'll actually have an artbook for you. They'll likely not have any copies of the book until two or three days before the release date, but there have been cases where people didn't get their preorder swag due to seasonal help and whatnot.

:huh.:

And while I'm on the subject, there's the whole special edition gift bundle for Persona 4 that was exclusive for Amazon.com. It sold out.

It's Ghostbusters. Of course you have to get it.

I'm just glad Atari picked them up so fast. Giving them another six months gives me hope that the game will be that much better.

Now if someone would just pick up Brutal Legend...

There's going to be a press release about that very soon I think.

...Maybe even today?

Regardless, while Brutal Legend looks cool I'd only consider it if it were a PC game.

EDIT: Uh-oh. If you people thought SONY fans were upset about Final Fantasy XIII, what's about to hit is going to be worse.

Oh. Wow. Metal Gear 360, eh? Nice.

Article via Kotaku.

Also, before anyone says Metal Gear going cross platform is a betrayal, keep in mind that like Final Fantasy, the first Metal Gear games were Nintendo exclusives.

... Holy crap. The graphics in games have gotten REALLY good lately... more so than I realized. That Ghostbusters one is a few shades from making me belive it's some kind of hybrid between reality and cartoon... seriously... Looks very nice. Almost gives me the desire to start getting into the next gen, even if I still can't make the choice between PS3 and Wii just yet...

Ghostbusters won't look this good on the Wii though. But the Wii version will NOT be a port. They're actually making the Wii version from the ground up.

Oh, and you use a DS as one of those ghost sensors.

Urgh, not making the choice any easier. Wii has more games that I'm acutally willing to buy, but the sheer power of the PS3 and the Blue ray feature making it hard to pass up, even if it's a gamble frankly. If they didn't get rid of the backwards compatability feature it'd be easier, as I could sell my old PS2 (Though it would be a hard parting... I had a lot of good times on that thing... Had it for like 5 years, a little rough spot where PS1 games and DVDs wouldn't play that was later fixed by inserting a cleaning disk, and good times ever since...)... I can understand the need to cut costs to make it more marketable, but at least keep one version in production that actually still has it... <_<

I mean seriously. I though that one giant Marvel thing looked good too, but not only do they have very nice looking graphics for this one, but some of the Ghostbusters classic old style comedy was also in there. Refreshing...
