Of course, it has been admitted earlier in the series that your persona can be taken over by the original of itself.

This was noted in Persona 1, I believe, where The villain had the Persona Nyarlathotep, and the real Nyarlathotep took it, and by extension the villain, over.
There's an idea in that somewhere, but I'm not sure what it is.

Idea: Souji Seta never actually existed. He was Minato, using the Universe combined with what little power of his own he could scrounge up, manifesting a way to finally figure out a way to stop the thrreat of Nyx... however, somewhere along the lines, someone decided to screw things up, possibly Erebus, possibly Nyx, possibly Inizami, whatever. As a result, he and Teddy are thrown back into the time of the Dark Hour, due to the whole Time travel thing he know exists parallell to himself (As in the Future Minato is Souji, while Past Minato is Minato). The problem is, as they eventually find out, the stakes have been changed because of Minato's meddling, the battle this time is an all or nothing thing, they either stop Nyx without needing to seal, or they lose, big time.

Possible add ons to this are member's of Souji's party being Jerked around to the Dark Hour Souji is in every night. Also, Souji is eventually going to want to get into contact with Minato and the others, but are they going to believe him, nay, are they going to even try, seeing as Mination might end up being a bit cautious that all of a sudden theres a second Wild Card around.

Oh, and last little Tidbit, at the start, Souji is getting reset to level 1, and aside from himself and those who were part of his party, only Igor and Margret, and the influence, remember the other timeline. On the plus side, Souji can still use his Persona compendium, the downside, is that his Link's are going to be kinda messed up a little and will need repairs.

EDIT: Of course, the whole reason he's actully even bothering with this is that Souji has got a bit of a power advatadge this time and thats without the other persona users being factored in. Of course, on the minus, his arrival might cause some other bad things to happen... They may have to face the shadows, their true selves... more as challenges then actually nessecities though. Full Moon shadows take priority over Shadow Selves.

And I don't just mean the Party Members too. Minato's Shadow Self would be scary seeing as he has two people to get his power from.

One night while battling in Tartarus, Minato is attacked by a Shadow and something causes his body to revert down about the age of a 10 year old.

This change causes the girls in the dorm to go crazy over how cute Minato is.

I don't have much of an idea on this, but it came to me.

The idea of Mitsuru breaking down and pulling Minato into her chest hugging him upon seeing his cute stare is just awesome.

Well, I can't think for anywhere else for this. Basically, I'm wanting to ask my fellow TFFers, if characters from other seires(AKA animes, books, etc) got Personas, what would said Personas be?
For an example, I think if the Rosario+Vampire crew got Personas, Tsukune'd be a wild Card(AKA, he could wield multiple Personas.)

An idea with similarities to Leonite's:

During/after the final battle with Nyx, Minato gets booted to a parallel universe. Why he gets booted is unimportant, maybe some god thought it would be hilarious. Maybe he really wanted to live, and the universe Arcana granted his wish for some reason. Either way, he lands in that parallel universe.

Within said universe, Minato eventually discovers that everything is basically the same, only (you guessed it) this universe's version of himself is female. (you could have him remain the same, but that would be less fun)

After getting over his confusion, Minato now realizes that he has the opportunity to prevent the Fall. It shouldn't be that hard right? After all, he has a bunch of high level Personae along with some powerful equipment. Armed with his fore-knowledge, he should have no problem preventing SEES from defeating the Full Moon bosses...

...is what he thought, but reality is harsh. He has many problems to deal with, including:

- Nobody in SEES will believe him, it would be his word against the Chairman's. And who would believe a guy who just showed up out of no where one day? Depending on when he shows up, SEES might think he's a part of Strega.

- He has no allies whatsoever (except maybe Igor and Elizabeth). So if he screws up doing whatever he's doing, there's no one to bail him out.

- He's basically homeless (though he might have some cash on him)

- Even if, by some miracle, he does stop SEES from fighting the Full Moon bosses... Apathy Syndrome will still exists. Granted, that's no where near as bad as the Fall, but it's still pretty bad.

- If he manages to protect a Full Moon boss from SEES... it'll just appear again, maybe next day, maybe next Full Moon.

- He doesn't have a real way of stopping SEES. The only option that would be available to him is to beat them up and tie them up or something. And he (probably) doesn't want to do that to his (former ?) friends. Which brings me to my next point.

- None of his Social Links remember him. That's depressing on its own, to see his former friends treat him like a stranger; but the worst part is that Persona fusions (if they're available) no long gain EXP bonuses! (Nooooooooooooooo!)

---
possible snippet:

"Phew, managed to pull it off," thought Minato as he faced the worn out members of SEES.

They outnumbered him greatly, yet the difference in power was too great. They barely did any noticeable damage to him, while he could knock each of them out with one or two hits.

Perhaps they could have defeated him eventually, after all, he was not fighting with his full strength (for fear of killing them). But it was too late, for Dark Hour had ended, and he felt his Persona-boosted strength fade away.

"The Shadow survived, Nyx's arrival should be delayed for a while... the problem is, how do I get out of this situation?" thought Minato as the pissed-off looking members of SEES began to pick up their weapons and surround him.

Y'know, theres an easy solution there... explain about what Nyx is. he doesn't have to point out the Chairmen's betrayl, after all, it might not happen in this world.

And if all else fails and they don't believe him... well there are three things he can do.

1. Assuming he can, summon Orpheus. Right there that would cause... lets call her Minako for ease of typing, to pause a little, after all, you'd do the same if someone who could summon multiple persona happens to show up with the exact same starting persona.

2. Point out that he's a Wild Card like her, and at least to Minako, point out that he knows Igor. While you may not trust a Wild Card Persona user who's trying to stop you, your more likely to go to a more trustworthy source (the Velvet Room, in this case) to get your answers if Igor is mentioned. same thing goes with Social Links and the like

3. Unless we're near endgame here, Minato isn't going to lose to the others. even without his weapons, he still gets the stat boosts, and he'll be using higher level Personae at this point. It would be a hopeless boss fight for the others.

Of course, if Minato decides to take a more antagonistic route to subtly deflect the others efforts, he could pretend to be a shadow himself, he does technicly represent Judgement, Fool and Death

However... to add to your other points.

- Shinji, asuming he's alive at this point, is going to be extremely suspicious of Minato.

- Strega are either going to try and recruit Minato, or try and kill him. this won't be so bad as Minato can take them on... but if Chidori is the one after him, then he has to consider the fact that she kinda helped give Junpei reason to fight.

- Aigis and Kuromaru might notice the simmilarities (in ties to shadows and scent respectively) between the two. Aigis will likely report this to the others, while Kruomaru might do some investigating of his own.

As a side note, I reckon Igor will recognise Minato, but given this is a Minako universe, I believe we'll have Theodore instead of Elizabeth... this could make it hilarious if the first time Minato runs into Igor is with Minako dragging Minato into the Velvet Room.

Persona 4, humorous to mildly cracky idea.

...Wait, it might be a very cracky idea.

Rise, Teddy, or someone else gets it into their head that Izanami-no-Okami, being the wife of Izanagi-no-Okami, whom is Seta Souji's first and final Persona, which is the representation of one's inner self, that Souji, by extension through Izanagi, is Izanami's wife. This leads to the conclusion that, despite the serious murders and other such, Izanami is in fact suffering from jealousy issues as well as other relationship issues that spawned from her being left behind by Izanagi.

So that is why Rise, Teddy, or whoever else that got the idea into their heads, are acting as marriage counselors between a slightly amused but disturbed Souji, and a really unamused and slightly flustered Izanami.

Just crack, and slight Izanami/Souji.

Here's a big idea: the Bizarre Persona Adventure. What is it? A crossover between Persona and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's a crossover so obvious I'm shocked there aren't dozens of them.

So okay. Persona Jojo-style. Here's how it works: Personas=Stands. Typical Stand rules apply:

Only Persona users can see Personas

Persona-users (and those capable of becoming Persona users) tend to come together.

Everyone has only one Persona, barring villain dickery.

Each Persona either has a single ability or a set of connected ones; Persona users don't learn new skills so much as discover new applications.

Damage to the Persona is also received by the user.

Persona evolution is going to be rare; characters will start with their most iconic Personas. Or the Persona that I can play the most with.

Each game is its own "season"; events will be based on the events of those games but adapted to take place in a 'verse that doesn't have invading armies of supernatural powers ready to invade at the drop of a hat. Crossovers will be rare.

Now, characters and story summaries, arranged by arcs. I'll add more as they come to me.

Part 1:

Philemon: Mysterious masked Persona user, motivations unknown.
--Persona: Philemon, ability: Capable of awakening Personas in others. Other abilities suspected but unconfirmed.

Naoya Toudou: Main character of first arc. Recognized by his pierced ear, and is known for having a cool head. Well respected by everyone who meets him.
--Persona: Seimen Kongou, ability: See/Hear/Speak no evil. The Persona can bestow one of three curses on a human or Persona if its target has touched something also touched by the Persona. The curse manifests as a monkey on the targets head, hands grasping the effected part.

Maki Sonomura: Female lead of first arc. Formerly sickly and bedridden, recently healthy and energetic. Seems to have lost several months of memories, as well as certain memories regarding family and her childhood friend...
--Persona: Verdandi, ability: Idealization. Verdandi is capable analyzing an object and determining its "ideal state". After the analysis, Maki is capable of restoring that object to that state at will. Two caveats: does not work on living matter (and she cannot restore life) and the objects ideal state must be one that it has actually been in.

Takehisa Kandori: Young president of SEBEC. Arrogant, charismatic and brilliant, he's recently begun a new project codenamed DEVA, the exact details of which are not known. Rumors persist that his rapid ascent was engineered through unsavory means. Has recently officially acknowledged an illegitimate daughter, Aki, mother unknown.
--Persona: Massacre, one of the strongest Personas in existence. Extremely intimidating, it is powerful enough to demolish buildings with little effort, in addition to possessing many powerful skills.

Part 2:

Tatuya Suou:
--Persona: Vulcanus, ability: Metal molding. Vulcanus' body melts metal on contact. When slagged in this fashion, the metal comes under Vulcanus' control, and can be fired as projectile or forged into tools or weapons as the situation demands. Note that it does not produce fire or heat; this is purely an effect of the Persona.

Maya Amano:
--Stand: Maia

Part 3:

Arisato Minato: Withdrawn and reclusive student, lives apart from parents by choice. For reasons unknown to him, possesses two Persona simultaneously (this is NOT A GOOD THING).
--Persona: Orpheus, ability: Sound manipulation. Orpheus is capable of perfectly reproducing any sound that Minato has heard, at long range. Additionally, Orpheus can receive radio, cellular and television signals, though it cannot produce video images.
Persona: Thanatos. This Persona is exceptionally dangerous. Its emergence causes Minato pain (but not damage) as its does so by tearing through Orpheus. This Persona has no purpose or desire but to kill, and will turn its blade against anything--Persona, human or otherwise--that it can reach. Controlling this Persona is exceptionally difficult.

Junpei Iori: Class clown, energetic and simple minded. Wants to be a hero, but feels overshadowed by more competent allies.
--Persona: Trismegistus. <a href='http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/847668/beak-black_hair-dark_skin-fire-from_below-glowing_' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Magician's Red</a> in a <a href='http://images.wikia.com/megamitensei/images/1/15/P3-Trismegistus.png' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>new package</a>. That's just about it.

Yukari Takeba: Classmate of Minato's, allied with Mitsuru's faction in return for information about the whereabouts of her father who went missing while working for the Kirijo group.
--Persona: Isis, ability:

Mitsuru Kirijo: Heir to the powerful Kirijo Group, she is gathering a team of Persona users for unknown purposes.
--Persona: Artemisia, ability: Imbuing. Artemisia is capable of entering a wide variety of electronic and mechanical items and improving their functionality. When occupying a radio for example, Artemisia can "scan" within a limited range and allow Mitsuru to speak with people within a similar range. It is suspected that her motorcycle is powered in a similar manner.

Aigis: Mysterious girl who can produce a large amount of presumably illegal weaponry from nowhere. This is believed to be her Persona ability, but her Persona has yet to be seen...
--Persona: Unknown.

Part 4 (needs a name): The day a young man moves to a small town is the day that a serial killer begins stalking its streets. Rumors linking the killings to an unsolved string of murders fifty years before leads him to discover a fog-filled valley that seems to be the connection between both incidents, but what lurks in the fog might yet devour the truth--and him.

Yu Narukami: New arrival to Yaso-Inaba, living with his uncle and cousin. Investigating the strange foggy space
--Persona: Izanagi, ability:

Yosuke Hanamura: Another recent arrival to Inaba. Was drawn to the fog, where he
--Persona: Jiraiya, ability:

Chie Satonaka:
--Persona: Tomoe-Gozen, ability:

More to come of course, but oh god so busy. Thank you Fallacy for the help. Anyone have ideas for arc titles? There are some pretty good ones in the Jojo franchise and I'd love to keep up the tradition.

Heres something that I thought up after a read through of Fairly English Story.

One of the main characters, despite being a wild card, and in the case of the ones from 3, having Death sealed in them, they cannot fuse or obtain other persona with the exceptions of their starting persona, and Thanatos in 3's case.... however, s/he has a unique ability, s/he is able to MAKE persona, at first based obn mythology figures, gods, and the like, slowly bleeding into fictional characters, more freedom avalible to him as time goes on and more are made, perhaps making the method of being able to make stronger and more free persona being through special social links.

Said socil links could be types like ones with Igor, Elizibeth/Margret/both, perhaps use alternate gender social links, in the case of 3, minus any romantic link or simply remade, perhaps something completely off the wall, etc.

A sort of "two extremes" you can use. At the start of the game, the best the MC can do is either mae their basic Persona,or remake Persona's of the others. However, say after the first moon/person shadow that isn't part of the tutorial, they might be able to branch out, start making ones based on other religions, like taking Inizagi and making Tsukiyomi, Orochi, etc. to expand upon this, eventually they'd try experimenting making a mythology figure that has a pop culture adaption, Thor and Amaterasu popping to mind, and so on and so forth.

Eventually they will be making stuff like Aang, Zordon, Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann, etc.

The correct name is Takahisa, not Takehisa. Just a nitpick.

Also, Maia (Maya's Persona) is traditionally aligned with the Moon. Just a possibility for what it could do, of course.

Eikichi should have a Stand/Persona based on sound, if you ask me. Maybe one that forces whoever hears its music to dance along, until either it stops or they are exhausted into unconsciousness/death?

Lisa... well, look at her dad. :p Okay, that's just me stating the bloody obvious, but it ain't like Mr. Silverman is subtle. That said, isn't Lisa a fan of Chinese fortunetelling? Maybe some sort of probability altering power that's completely random?

With the moon? Odd, I thought that Maia was aligned with the earth.? My thought was that her Persona becomes Artemis when under moonlight and gets a different ability set depending on how much moonlight.
Noticed this only now (holy necro, I know), but...

"My name is Maia... I am one of the divine works of the Pleiades, which shine in the canopy of the evening... Bearing the burden of the full moon, I will summon forth the courage to serve you..."
The above is the Innocent Sin quote. And Maia Custom in EP says:

"My name is Maia... One awakened to true powers... Flowers for the past... Fertility to you... Let the lunar moon again be..."
That said, Maia is LINKED to the Earth, being one of the Pleiades, the daughters of Atlas, in Greek myth.

Idea: Minato is freed from the seal, but due to a mistake in escaping, he lands in Tv land.

The usual happens, and Minato's mind is realized as a tower, and he's left unconcious at the top.

Of course, sensing a new guy in the Tv world, the P4 team try to rescue him, only to find that the tower isn't filled with Shadow's as they'd come to expect, but Personea.

Mindbreakingly Powerful personea, who do not appreciate people trapsing into their realm (shadow or otherwise)

I'm thinking each floor represnts an Arcana, so the ground floor would be Fool while the 1st would be Magician and so on, meaning that some persona on a floor would be super weak, others would be nigh unbeatble at their current level.

Each floor would have a boss; the ultimate Persona of that arcana. So Magician would be Surt, Emperor would be Thor ect.

After fighting their way up through hell (and even hinking they'd failed at one point when they didn't save him in time for a foggy day only to find that the Persona destroy any shadows too) they manage to wake him up - only for his Shadow to awaken too.

Unfortunately for everybody, the shadow is the Persona Minato last had equipped aka the Universe.

Just noticed this, so I'm raising my thread from the dead.

Yeah, Universe is just the Arcana. The 'Persona,' if we can call it that, is unnamed.

This doesn't really help them any, though, because in all likelihood, it's God. And it might SMT God, at that.

All of the FUUUUU. All of it.

Probably not. YHWH in SMT1 and 2 hasn't been seen since, and the Messiah tends to be presented as pretty reasonable.

Now, Minato appropriating the Great Will post-Aleph and before it reforms into YHWH... that could be interesting.

I just realized something, for a possibly Cracky Fanfic, persona 4 style, or anything else that happens to have the "True Self" shadows. Those Shaodws are formed by a person's unconcious desire, the one they repress the most, to the point of denying it. What if... they turned into OOO medals afterwards (Medals of desire) or even can the respective Greeed as Persona.

What's the P4MC's? Eiji, the one with the greatest power, starting off as a jack of all trades... or just have him keep the usual. If theformer idea is taken, either the P4 cast start becoming Greeed, or theres going to be an OOO driver somewhere.

I'm a little hyper right now, hence the cracky ideas.

Hmmm... idea the second, spun off of one of my earlier ones here: Yu, that is, the P4 MC, is simply a manifestation of Minato's will through his use of the unnamed Universe Arcana Persona. Why do people remember him? Universe arcana is damn strong. How would this change things though?

Earlier I saw an entry on a cross with Fate/ and as I was reading through further entries, I wondered.

Where is Nyx sealed? Where would she be that she has access to all of The Worlds misery?

The Akashic record, I pondered. Minato, while merely a spirit touched mortal, touched the root of the universe.
His friends, while unaware of the magnitude of what they were seeing, caught the briefest glimpse when they fought Erebus.
Perhaps a sealing order is placed on them, or the watered down remnants of the Crimson Moon feel an inexplicable draw towards the remainder of SEES and something happens, and the Universe awakens.
Or, y'know, an individual member puts the stomp on an outdated member of the Clocktower. My votes on Aigis.

Well, Persona 4 Arena sure did a hell of a job expanding on P3 and P4. With a sequel pretty much assured the way this ended, did that gave fic ideas to any of you guys?

Haven't play went and read the TV Tropes article. In order to avoid spoiling it for anyone who hasn't played it yet, the rest of my text for this will be white.

Apparently the implication is there that the Maleviolent Entity is old Nyarthy. That alone opens up enough fic ideas, but then theres also the fact that there are open plot threads with Aigis, Labrys and Elizebeth revolving around adventures, and honestly, given the plots to Persona 1 and 2, the friendship between the two shadow hunting groups may be needed in the future.

Also, Nurses.

EDIT: Heck, Elizebeth unlocks the Fool Arcana. Perhaps she's also a Wild Card? Or maybe she might be our star of Persona 5.

Firstly, sorry for the double post, secondly I've been looking over my old idea, and thought that maybe, with a bit of tweaking, it could be remade... by mixing it with the later idea which had Minato transported to a Minako reality.

Yu was essentially Minato's loophole plan, create a second life, use it to get Persona powers, save the world... however, due to Inizami meddling, that didn't happen, and he's a few years off... until he wakes up one day on a train to the Port Island. Despite being about the same age as he was when going to Inaba, maybe a year younger.

As Igor soon explains to him, his actions in stopping Inizami have merited him a second chance at stopping things. He still has his powers as the wild card (although when most people who analyse Arcana look at him, he looks like he's of the "World" arcana rather than Fool, Inizagi no Okami and all that), but aside from Star and Empress its most likely that all of his Social Links don't exist any more, if he wants them back, he needs to work for them.

Why does he keep Star and Empress? Well Teddie is a shadow, and as a result its not that hard to transfer the memories back to him, and Margret is a Velvet Room companion, and in fact insists on continuing Elizabeth's role for Yu. And problems are going to show up purely from him being around, aside from him possibly trying to stop SEES from taking on the full moon Shadows (although I'd personally find it a little Lulzy if in the process he uses Adachi's version of Inizagi to do it) and a second wild card being around causing concern, the Shadows seem to be getting stronger faster... and in Tarturus, yellow eyed imitations of the team are appearing.

There are other ideas I have that can essentially be added to this, of course.

- A few weeks/months later, a new transfer student shows up. One that is rather familiar to Yu. Essentially, tossing a Persona 4 character into the mix to make it a bit more personal for Yu, ideally Naoto or Chie who can both be love interests and either have no arcana to clash with (Naoto) or one that, given the other use,r, could probably get a pass (Chie's clashes with Aigis, but Aigis has the Aeon Arcana too technically)

- Yu is, in this case, a mix of Animation Yu and Persona 4 Golden. The only real differences is that it allows for a love interest and for Yu to have/have had the Jester Social link with Adachi, while also allowing to have Yu already have faced his Shadow (To those who haven't seen the show, his Shadow represented his fear of being alone and being left alone) (EDIT: This also allows for Yu to have the Aeon Arcana, technically, or at least access to their persona)

- If you have a Persona already, confronting a Shadow You and resolving it may just have the Persona evolve... and given how the Shadows are getting, thats a small comfort.

- Someone like Yu,, with the powers of the Wild Card and the ability to summon a Persona without an Evoker, is likely to be hounded by both SEES and Strega to join up. Of course, the Evoker-less summoning may not happen... at least, until Teddie or the other P4 party member shows up.

In short, while he might get some assistance... things will not be easy for Yu

Why does Narukami have to secretly be Minato, cheating death using The Universe? Why not have it so that Narukami has gone back, at the request of Elizabeth and Margaret?

I figured this would be the best area to post, but....

Persona 3: Spring of Births 1st Promo and cast list is out.

We finally get a canon name for the guy and it's Makoto Yuki which, from what I've heard, is unisex for both the MC and the FeMC.

I'm fine with either name to be honest though I still prefer Minato over the new name...
