Latrio refs the match between Blue and Deuce.

"The Winner is Blue with five pokemon knocked out.

Also you do you guys know those bugs of yours are holding stuff?"

Hands 200 in prize money to Blue, and heads over to heal them up real quick while chatting with the breeder

"Wait seriously? What's holding?"

"Oh, and I don't think I ever actually got your name."

"My name is Latrio. Only Breeder in our graduating class. Anyways A hold item is something that Pokemon will pickup. Sometimes it's food like berries. Sometimes it's something that catches their interest and makes them stronger. Like that Silver powder your Butterfree has. It makes bug type attacks stronger."

Route 22.

FUCKING SUCKS.

Mankey stole one of my empty Pokeballs, got splashed by a Magikarp, and found NOTHING.

Note to self: Get Charizard: Burn Down Route 22.

I guess I'll go get some food at the center and come back.

FUCKING MANKEY.

"Huh well, thanks for the info, I'm off to try and take on the Gym. Later"

Heads to the gym and enters

All right so just challenge and beat the leader, then move on

Heads for what is obviously the guy in charge, only to be stopped by some kid in a boyscout uniform

"What did you stop me for"

"I stopped you cause you can't just challenge the leader, you need to beat the trainers that work under him first, so let's get started!"

Blue defeated the Trainer guarding the Gym, but his Pokemon had been injured badly in the process.

Frowning, he decided to heal them before challenging Brock.

Blue healed his Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, before returning to challenge Brock.

After trouncing the camper with just Lee Sin, Deuce went back and healed up mankey for the fight against brock, and immediately returned to fight the leader for his first Badge.

After a close defeat by Brocks Onix, Deuce returns for a second challenge later that day, and successfully crushes his geodude with Butterfree, who has taken the name of Klaus, and his Onix with Lee Sin the Mankey, earning a Boulderbadge and TM39 to teach Rock Tomb and a nice cash bonus to help him along the way. He heads back to the center to rest up for the night before heading down route 3, watching as Lee bounces and does acrobatics in celebration the entire way there.

After waking the next morning, I leave town, heading east down Route 3 and eventually to the famous Mt Moon. As I make my way through the route I am challenged by a good dozen or so trainers, most of which are bug catchers, with a few lasses and youngsters amongst the crowd. After fighting my way through them, coming out a little over a thousand Pokedollars richer, I reach the Mt Moon Pokemon Center, and enter hoping to rest for a little while.

Upon entering, I head to the counter to heal up my team, and am approached by a strange man while they heal.

"Hey there, you look like a smart trainer, how'd you like to get your hands on something that has the potential to be one of the most powerful Pokemon in Kanto? Only 500 Pokedollars if you buy now!"

I request that he show me the merchandise first, and after a bit of persuasion he accedes and shows me a admittedly rather healthy looking magikarp, which I then ask, how he can call this a powerful Pokemon.

"It's quite simple kid, while a Magikarp itself is rather weak, when they evolve, they become a Gyarados, and I'm sure you've heard of those powerhouses! So, what do ya say, do we have a deal?"

I pull out my pokedex and check the entry's for both magikarp and Gyarados, and finding the final stage to be to my liking, I quickly agree to the deal, forking over the 500 in cash, and receiving a pokeball with my new Magikarp in return.

After retrieving my team, I decide to head into Mt Moon and spend some time training my new addition and the rest of my team, taking advantage of the Pokemon Center right outside.

Latrio does some more casual training since he's heard mt. moon's been blocked off.

As I wander through the first part of Mt Moon, I find myself lost in thought while Magikarp trains with the help of Raiden, Lee, and Klaus. Aera is riding on my shoulder as I watch them fight wild Geodudes, Zubats, and even the occasional Paras. I notice a strangely colored Paras peeking out of a crack in what appears to be a blockade caused by a landslide, when I notice Aera is getting agitated. As I glance around to see what's stressing the bird out, I'm suddenly knocked to the ground by Lee, and as I roll over, I see Aera attacking a Pokemon I've never seen or heard of before.

I pull out my dex to scan it and discover that it's a rare pokemon called a Sneasel, and that they are native to johto. What one's doing here this deep in Kanto I don't know, but I'm going to do my best to catch it.

I notice Aera has worn it down rather badly, though I also see a bleeding wound on it's chest that I know my Pidgey didn't cause, which would explain why she's doing so well. Prehaps he was captured by poachers and escaped?

Regardless, as it looks like the Sneasel is about to drop, I toss out a pokeball, capturing it. I immediatly recall all but lee and bolt for the center, sending sneasel and my team in for treatment.

As I wait for news, my mind is filled with thoughts of how the sneasel got here and how it got it's wound.

Latrio continues to train and is attacked by a random Jigglypuff. He promptly uses Mankey and pokeballs the thing. Continues his training

****Special Event****

Training outside Mount Moon, Blue stumbles across a strange looking Pokemon he doesn't recognize. His Pokedex identifies it as 'Smoochum,' who he promptly catches.

****Event End****

Making a quick stop by the nearby Pokemon Center, Blue finishes training outside, by defeating every trainer outside the mountain.

Afterwards, he heals again and decides to enter Mt. Moon.

Once Sneasel is recovered and cleared for training I spend a hour or so coming up with a name for him. He takes a liking to the name of a villain from a old book I read, so Ghirahim he is now. After that minor accomplishment, I reenter Mt. Moon, where I spend the next two days coming and going as I focus training on Magikarp and Ghirahim, along with wiping out the reputations of the trainers I encounter in the mountian.

Though I do stumble across a forgotten pokeball, and a dusty half buried TM for Mega Punch. I marvel at the fact that one of these is still around, having been discontinued and thought to be used up years ago.

After the two days pass, I encounter Blue once again at the Center, and decide to challenge him to a no prize match for a test of our teams.

I approach...

It took many day's of training, but Charmander learned Metal Claw.

I beat the little dude in Pewter Gym easy with it, I went back to the center after that, couldn't be to careful with a Gym leader after all.

But I got crushed by Brocks Onix, before noting Pikachu and Pichu's evasiveness against it.

After a second trip to the Pokemon Center, I came back with a Plan.

Charmander took down Brock's Geodude, and did some damage to his Onix, then i had Pikachu dodge around and Use Growl as many times as it could before Onix knocked it out with Bind, Pichu went next, and used Tail Whip again and again.

After that, Pidgy took Onix easily.

I got a Boulder Badge.

Fuck Yeah! Take that you damn Mankey!
