Hmm, I hadn't had an idea for a Ranma fic for a while, so it seems that I was due to have another.

Ranma Saotome sighed as he read the latest challenge letter that heÆd received aloud.
ôDear Ranma Saotome, I hope that you are suffering greatly.
I expect that you will meet me at the Hikawa Shrine in Juuban at 12:30 on Friday the 10th so that we can settle this feud once and for all.

At the appointed time for the challenge, Ranma strolled as nonchalantly as he could manage onto the grounds of the Hikawa Shrine.
ôYo, Maomolin, whatÆs going on?ö he asked as he averted his gaze to maintain his usual carefree tone.
ôThis!ö the large white cat declared as he threw a potion over Ranma.
ôWhat the hell?!ö the pigtailed martial artist demanded as he wiped the warm gunk from his face.
ôThis is what I wanted to do to you, make you suffer as much humiliation as you caused me!ö
Ranma blinked. ôO-oh-kay. So weÆre all even now, are we?ö
ôYes,ö Maomolin declared. ôBy the way, you shouldnÆt have such a problem with cats.ö
ôReally? You mean it?ö
ôYes. Have a nice life, Saotome!ö the large feline smirked before disappearing into thin air.
Ranma looked around him in disbelief. ôThat was one of the oddest challenges IÆve ever had.ö
Seconds later, the heavens opened and the residue from the demonic catÆs assault was washed off. It took a short while longer for him to realise what was going on, but Ranma noticed that he wasnÆt a girl.
He was a lion.

Yes, this idea is just an excuse to use the like "JESUS CHRIST, IT'S A LION! GET IN THE CAR!" in a fic.

Why not just have him fall in the spring of drowned lion?
As for the frogs, I only know 3 of them. Sgt doesn't work. MPD private or whatever, and the gun toting Corporal work though, the one that likes the sister.
As for /b/ I was kinda expecting DO NOT WANT! to be used on Akane.
Is anyone else going to come up with random ideas or is this left to just Raa?

Hi all, time for a new fic idea!
What if during the Neko-ken training, Mihoshi fell to earth and saved Ranma from his usual fate?
Genma realises that he's screwed up and lies to save his ass - (in character, I think
) - and asks Mihoshi if she can help raise his son, seeing as she's a powerful being and he's just a poor martial artist.
Mihoshi panics and takes them with her to GP HQ, where Genma tells her about how he is training his son to be a warrior of legend or something.
The GP agrees, possibly due to Seto's influence, and the Saotomes are now living it up (compared to their old nomadic life) and helping out with whomever they're staying with.
Not sure what other details at the moment, but I'm thinking of using the start of a fic that I wrote some time ago that started rather dark.
Thoughts?
I mean, it's got potential for character growth for Genma, a Ranma/Mihoshi pairing, and Seto having a great time as she teases Ranma for "flirting with her"

But honestly, I couldn't see Ranma putting up with Mihoshi being that clumsy for very long before he flips out and trains her 'with prejudice'.
She may come out of her shell and start being the intelligent one that everyone attributes her to be, maybe having some of it rub off on 'ol fists for brains'.

I'm just wondering if a certain concept was ever used. It's a minor spin on the whole Ranma related to Tenchi bit.
Like say, instead of Nodoka being Katsuhito's daughter what about Genma being his son. Has that ever been done?
Was thinking something happened when Genma was a teenager that caused a division between him and his father. That eventually festered to the point where they would refuse to have anything to do with each other.
For example, Genma deciding to quit training with his father and end up training under Happosai even though he was probably forbidden by Katsuhito from doing so. Not realizing how bad of a choice that was for years to come.
Sometime between Happosai being sealed away, and Ranma's training trip something would happen that would cause Genma to head back to Osaka. Perhaps for His sister Kiyone Masaki's funeral. ( Not the Detective, Tenchi's Mom in the OVA's I think)
The fic would include mainly center around how Genma and Katsuhito would try reconcile for years of feuding. All though Ranma and some of others would still play a decent role in the fic.
Course problem is where do Soun and the others fit? What drastic circumstances caused problems to start between Genma and Katsuhito? How exactly would Genma find out about his sister dying? Would Ranma still end up in Nerima and would their be any tag-a-longs?
Would also like it if Nodoka was more dangerous to herself with that sword then with others. Heh would be something if the whole ten year training trip was just a way for Genma and Ranma to get away from her.
I just wanted to know because all I ever seem to find are ones where It's Nodoka that's related to Katsuhito, and all those usually make Genma either dead, or a bad guy. Would like to try reading something a little different.
