I'm stuck deciding if I should jump on Civ 5: Gods and Kings at 25% off seeing as its a new game and might not go on sale again.á And let me tell you I've been watching out for it like a hawk I even got the steam app on my iphone to check while I'm at work!á 25% is the best I've seen since the second day at 25% then as well.

Although, it IS just an expansion I don't need it so should I just wait it out?
During the summer sale it was at 75% off. If you want to hold out, it'll probably get a heavier slash at some point in the future.

This is a very unfortunate day for me however, I only had thirty useable dollars in my checking account.

Holy fucking shit, Dawn of War 2 bundle for 9.99. That is ridiculous. It's never gone below 20.00 before, and those were for single games.

THQ is almost bankrupt or so I've heard, I'm not surprised they are trying anything to make a buck.

In other news, Two Worlds 2 just came up on the flash sale, looks interesting but is it worth the buy?

Angry Joe gave it a good review, and it seemed interesting for the short time that I played it. Couldn't tell you more though, I haven't gotten back to it.

RE: Steam Summer Sale

For those who are not aware steam is currently have a Portal Bundle sale. $5 will get you both Portal 1 & 2,

I just got Far Cry 3 for myself and for my brother at half-off thanks to one of their daily sales. Shame our computers can't run it at the optimal specifications... I'd need at least 700 just to get the recommended CPU and graphics card. I don't suppose they have Steam Sales for those, do they? :V

Alright peoples ! War For the Overworld, the true spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper, now has its beta version available on Steam. The guys in charge of it apparently want the fans inputs on what to include and what to improve very badly.

Now, go get it already ! :sisi:

Borderlands 2 is on sale for $13.59 until the 20th. I am seriously tempted to buy it, but I don't have many people to play it with. Is anyone else buying it?

I picked it up. It's a fun game, well worth the buy at that price even solo. I hear it's supposed to be more fun co-op.

I have a slew of characters and would be willing to co-op at a predetermined time, especially if you have ventrilo.

I also play dota 2 and have about a spillion invites left if anyone still needs one.

It absolutely is worth the price of admission. The game, by itself, has a lot of content - including a surprising amount of endgame content, a New Game+ mode, and lots of fun challenges. However, it really shines when you bring in multiplayer co-op play; the more players you have (up to 4), the tougher the enemies get and the more of them will spawn, but the loot drops increase in quality as well, and the presence of multiple party members by itself makes the increased intensity more bearable.

The DLC content for BL2 is also very good. There are now two playable character add-ons (Gaige and Krieg), plus three out of four planned expansion packs have been released. The expansions include large-scale new areas to explore, additional missions, new enemies, new guns & gear to find or purchase, and lots of additional challenges.

The character addons are US$9.99 each. The expansions would normally be US$9.99 each as well, but you can opt to buy the Season Pass for US$29.99, which means you'll be spending ten bucks less in total for all four expansions than you would if you just bought them individually. (Gearbox has hinted that if they do release a Game Of The Year Edition bundle, it'll only be after a year has passed following the final DLC, and they have strongly hinted that there will be a second round of content after the first four DLC expansions are done. They're going big with this one.)

Bottom line: You really should get it at this price. It's not likely to come down any more for a good long while, and it's great in multiplayer. Plus we have our TFF Steam group, so it shouldn't be too hard to find other players.
