Guess what happened then? He deleted it, and had some message about how the Golden Sun section was filled with the most disgusting people ever.
A shame that he did not regard the author to be 'one of the most disgusting people ever.' then.

As for Kraken... yeah big problem with his attitude as well. His fics are all right, nothing really special really, but his attitude does erode one's tolerance.

Edit:

I looked up his profile, and lo and behold:

Personality: Lone Wolf. Stronger, more aggressive and far more dangerous than the average pack wolf by necessity.

Favorite Animal: If mythalogical creatures are allowed, definately the Phoenix. If not, the Bat.

Dreams: To get to the very top with no qualifications whatsoever. I will leave my mark on humanity to be remembered for all time, be it as a hero or as a tyrant.

Theme Song: I am... All of me by Crush 40.
Some of his favourite quotes.

Quotes That I find Enlightning/Cool:

1-8: A bunch of quotes from Naruto.

Best for last:

9: The stubbourn close their mind and convince themselves of one truth. The wise keep an open mind to the different possibilities leading to and stemming from the present. ~Amaan the Wise.
Wow. Talk about mental. I don't know about Asperger's syndrome, but I sure know he is a narcissist.

Story ideas:

Unnamed Fic:

This is going to be a self insertion fic. Yes, I'm putting myself in Naruto's world with all my abilities and flaws. But with one minor difference... (I'm going to appear super overpowered, and if people don't like that, there's the door, don't let it hit your ass on the way out.)

Main Pairing: Me x ?.
Unnamed Fic:

Another Self Insertion Fic that may or maynot be posted. Again into Naruto, but this time as a Naruto/Bloody Roar crossover with me as a Zoanthrope.

Main Pairing: Me x (technical) OC. (Those of you who play Golden Sun will recognise her.)
Unnamed Fic:

A fic spanning pretty much the entire Golden Sun series. Not sure what the title or exact summary will be, but it'll be something like this: What if Ivan never left his sister's side and a third Jupiter Adept took his place in the party? How would the series outcome change? OC x Mia.

Main Pairing: Me x Mia.
Unnamed Fic:

The chances of this one making it to the light of day so to speak is virtually nil, but it's a self insertion into the world of Bleach around the time of the Rukia Rescue arc.

Main Pairing: Me x Yoruichi.
Epic lulz.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten the whole self-loathing female superiorist thing he's got going on.

Didn't he actually quote things directly from the Vagina Monologs in that rant of his? I know he made something up about the "source" of all Adapts being "a goddess", which "proves" that women are superior in the GSverse.

Question, LR? If this guy ha'tes himself so much, why doesn't he do himself and everyone else a favor by picking up a gun, loading it, and making a brain-smear
on his bedroom wall?

It died with all other 'inferior' concepts. Didn't he tell you that?

Don't really know, honestly. :huh.:

*Looks up Synica's profile out of curiosity.*

... I think my brain just died.

I can never understand why, but people who have overly long profile pages filled with useless crap that makes it so you have to scroll and scroll and scroll just to get to the list of fanfics they have piss me off incredibly. It fucking pisses me off.

I don't give a flying crap about people's personal shit, damn it. Why post it in the first place?

And what the hell is with the fictional role models being Itachi and Sasuke? What the hell?

...

Anyway, I've grown to really despise stories in the Naruto section that stick so friggin close to the main storyline. I'm tired of Wave Arc, and I'm tired of the same old friggin Forest of Death. Stop with it... just stop.

Of course, I also hate when they do Wave or the Chunin Exam and suddenly bring some new character or something out from friggin nowhere. Shattered Eyes did that in the newest chapter. When that happened, my attention literally stopped reading and spaced of.

While I don't mind fanfics where the Kyuubi is female, or is actually benevolent and 'not evil', too much stories with it get on my nerve. Many times, Kyuubi is female just so she could be a friggin pairing possibility for Naruto. It's always inevitable.

You want to know what I want to see? I want to see a fanfic where Naruto inadvertainly asks the Kyuubi its gender, and the friggin thing tells him that he 'can be whatever the hell he wants to be at any time he chooses'.

Also, I'd like to see more stories where the Kyuubi isn't benevolent and good, nor is it evil as all get out. I want to see more fanfics where the thing is opportunistic, anti-social, sarcastic, and anything else similar such as twisting the truth.

Kyuubi as a whimsical spoilt child works as well. It's like Sayuri without the cuteness.

It got overrun when a subgroup of those who pushed for equality went too far and started demanding superior rights instead of equal rights.

Because if he does that, then who will help lead humanity into the glorious future that is global socialism?

Also, it's clearly not what Shadow would do, which means it's out of the question.

At this point, I'd rather have Kyuubi as just about anything... even say, an aspiring hip hop artist before seeing another cliched fem-Kyuubi.

I've actually seen pimp!Kyuubi before. In a crac'k fic, but still.

I am about to say something I rarely, if ever, do.

Qouted for FUCKING truth.

I am really damn sick of the curse seal.

At first I tried to rationalize my hatred for it. I told myself that the reason I hated it was because no-one should be able to suddenly force this seal, that does all of what the curse seal does, onto someone.

Until I realized that that's pretty much the whole point of using seals on opponents.

Then I told my myself I hated it because of how fast Orochimaru is able to give it to someone.

Until I realized that just made Orochimaru really badass, for being able to do that.

Then I told myself I hated it because it couldn't be removed, apparently, without some crazy DEM jutsu.

Until I realized that that was, once again, kind of the whole point of using seals on opponents, that they can't just pull them off.

Then I finally realized why I hated it.

I'm not sick of the Forest of Death; there's so much opportunity for interesting encounters there.

I'm kind of sick of the Wave Mission, but I've seen just enough alternative missions instead to keep myself from loathing it.

I'm not even sick of the bell test.

But I am GOD DAMN SICK of the CS, and having to read the line "Then Orochimaru/its/her/his/OMGWTFTENTACLES neck extended, and bit Sasuke on the neck."

I am GOD DAMN SICK of the line "HE gave me this power... with it, I could..."

I am GOD DAMN SICK of Kakashi telling Sasuke not to use it.

I am sick of the evil, "fight me!" Sasuke that appears afterwards.

You know, it's interesting to note that when Sasuke first heard that Itachi was after Naruto, he didn't think "Why is Itachi so interested in the unworthy dead-last? I'm an Uchiha! He should be after ME!"

Instead, his first thoughts were that he had to warn Naruto, get him away from Itachi. No "REVENGE!" thoughts, nothing. At that time, I thought I might come to actually like Sasuke. Until he pulled an Anakin Skywalker in Episode III, the whole "I'll never join you!" "You will join us!" "Fine, I'll join you!" bit.

Anyways, that's why every idea for a Naruto story I have that includes the FoD has no-one getting the CS.

Then I'd be inclined to say that you're overlooking something with an enormous amount of potential as a storytelling element for no real reason at all. If you really hate reading those particular lines, then rewrite them. Rewrite the scene.

Have Orochimaru grapple Sasuke from behind and do it oldschool vampire style.

Have Sasuke declare "this power. . . that he gave me", only to wonder directly afterwards if defeating Itachi with the Cursed Seal is really a victory at all.

I outright disagree on the Kakashi thing. He's neglectful enough as it is. Not telling Sasuke to not use the Cursed Seal is making the leap from Bastard to Needs To Die a Horrible Death and/or Have His Beliefs and Worldview Torn to Pieces in a Violent Revelation That Shows Him Just How Much He Actually Fails.

ôEvil æfight meÆ Sasukeö is radically important to the story. Whether you want to redeem Sasuke as a character or have him be a villain, that confrontation was vitally important to Sasukes development. ItÆs a key point in his life, even if he (and Kakashi, and Sakura, and Naruto) didnÆt recognize it. ThatÆs where Sasuke made the decision. Some say he made it in the forest with the Sound Four, but I disagree. ItÆs on the rooftop after his fight with Naruto that he decided. ItÆs there that, in canon, he went from ôIÆll be better than Narutoö to ôthis village is holding me backö.

ItÆs also where a skilled author could redirect Sasuke down along another path by tweaking the sequence of events. Repentant Sasuke, anti-Sharingan Sasuke, Orochimaru-hating Sasuke, murderer Sasuke, Evil Sasuke. The possibilities only end where your creativity and ability to think up new roles for Sasuke to play end.

To me, outright dismissing all of the above simply because youÆre tired of seeing it done the same way over and over again is a terribly narrow-minded and uncreative view to take. I donÆt like the direction the manga has taken either, but instead of dismissing perfectly valid things out-of-hand like what youÆre doing, IÆve resolved to rewrite the entire thing from scratch and make it better.

At the very least, IÆd hope youÆd be willing to look past the rote writing of others and see the potential of the situations youÆve listed. Because really, what youÆve done is allow others to define something for you, instead of defining it for yourself.

Feminists?

Edit: Yes I know not all feminists are like this, it is just that I'm seeing it so much, and I'll the one's that I have met recently are like it and it is starting to piss me off.

Yeah, Synica is a douchbag. But what pisses me off the most about him is his use of Aspergers Syndrome as an excuse for his douchbaggery. I was diagnosed nearly a decade ago, and I have no problems admitting to many gary-stu SI fantasies. But I know better than to think they're good, let alone publish them on the net.

Though I believe it is plausible that he may actually have Aspergers, as every person with it I've met, including myself, have a very hard time ever admitting we're wrong, no matter the circumstance. And we often act quite full of ourselves.

I second JetFlash on the repetition.

As for Synica... Asperger's Syndrome is no excuse for being a douchebag.

As for a story I'd like to destroy, there was one that I wish I could remember the name of, but I'm probably blocking it out because it was horrendous.

It starts off with Sakura and Naruto having an affair behind Sasuke's back while Sasuke's off looking for Hinata, because she's been declared dead. And it always makes sense to hunt down people who are dead.

But of course, Naruto was the one who was in love with Hinata, so it makes perfect sense that he's deciding to bone his teammate's wife behind his back, instead of, say, hunting down the bastards responsible for Hinata's demise (and for that matter, since Kiba and Shino pop up later on, we can assume that Team 8 was largely intact, so WTF?).

Sasuke disappears for six months on an assignment that requires low to no communication, and is declared dead.

He comes back three years later with Hinata, who is now blind due to an infection, to find Sakura and Naruto have apparently had a kid to go along with the kid that Sakura and Sasuke somehow had.

Hinata gets a quiet home and starts up a life for herself, and Sasuke tries to rebond with his daughter.

Things seem to be going okay, both Sasuke and Hinata manage to accept that since they were declared dead by some retards in the office, that they can't really blame Naruto and Sakura for getting married.

Then we hit batshit crazy land, which occurs when Naruto, despite having dealt admirably with the guilt of having given up on Hinata, slept with Sakura behind Sasuke's back and eventually marrying Sakura; decides that he needs to get drunk off his ass and visit Hinata.

After that, it's just a trainwreck of emo-ness. Naruto, after having sex with Hinata (surely you saw that plot twist coming), takes off for a bit to gather his thoughts; Hinata decides she needs to be a cutter; Sakura tells her eldest daughter who her real father is and then takes off to find Naruto, because you know, that's what all good parents do; Hinata, despite being in the hospital under suicide watch, and Sasuke's daughter both get kidnapped, Sasuke's daughter gets brainwashed, but it's okay, because they can erase her memories; and Neji dies in an anticlimatic moment despite the fact that he could have been saved if Naruto and company hadn't decided to wait half a day to talk about how well Sasuke's daughter is doing, and Hanabi gives Neji's ANBU blade to some here-to-fore never mentioned fiancee.

Cue ending.

Right up to the trainwreck, it was actually a fairly good story, even if it had a rocky beginning, and had some interesting moments. Then it seemed to decide to go back to emo-dramaville (not to be confused with drama-emoville), and piss all over the characters for the sake of "Drama".

I swear, Lifetime channel movies seem infinitely more upbeat and original. :sweat2:

Feminists?

Edit: Yes I know not all feminists are like this, it is just that I'm seeing it so much, and I'll the one's that I have met recently are like it and it is starting to piss me off.
I refer to them as female superiorists, not feminists. It helps differentiate the two groups.

And the difference needs to be made, because the female superiorists are trying to group themselves together with the feminists to get more support. They do this because by passing themselves off as feminists, they're projecting the aura of two choices. Either you think women are inferior to men, or you think men are inferior to women.

This flies in the face of true feminism, which is working for equal rights and opportunities, and has nothing to do with the female superiorists views.

Know the difference. Don't be taken in by their claims. They're not 'feminists', and are only calling themselves that as a ploy to get more followers on their side. Calling themselves feminists also allows them to pull the ôso you think women are inferior to menö card if you try to oppose them, because they can cite the feminist worldview to shut you up, then go back to being a superiorist when the argument is over and youÆve been made to look like a bigot/brainwashed slave.

It needs to stop. If we ignore the name they've borrowed to give themselves an advantage, we can draw the line between feminism and female superiorism. And once we draw that line, the superiorists lose a huge chunk of their persuasive power, and can no longer pull the Political Correctness card to prevent public criticism.

'ahem'

Guilty. :D

Frankly Lord Raine, I prefer the term "Fem-Nazis". It definitely has a nice ring to it and it's catchy. Definitely better for public relations and destroying their credibility.

As for stories I'd like to delete, I hate the stories where the characters are completely OOC for no good reason. I mean, I will admit I myself have written Naruto with more common sense and a biting sense of humor, but at least I backed that shit up.

Naruto just randomly spouting Shakespeare or Hinata turning into a truly scary stalker? Hell no, just no.

Possibly, but I prefer to avoid invoking Godwins Law in serious debate unless the person in question is actually a member of the Nazi party. It makes you a tad more credible, especially with the older crowd who lived through the Red Scare and have had it up to *here* with people throwing the 'Nazi' label at each other.

You know, just a little bit. ;)

Can we please stop talking about Synica and his views? If I ha'ted him half as much as you do, LR, I wouldn't make my views known to everyone. I would simply avoid thinking of him or anything remotely related to him. In my mind, he would simply
be an anonymous writer with a big mouth whom I'd rather ignore since I know he
will die one day, likely because of that big-ass mouth. Thus, I don't worry about him.

I'll not get involved with feminist or female superiorist events over the internet, of all places.

Ignoring, of course, the fact that this thread is designed to be a place to vent about fics and authors who fail.

If you don't like seeing people vent, then it's probably not a good idea for you to be on the thread.

I'm sorry if I was a bit expressive about it, but you have clearly expressed your views LR. I won't stop you from venting, as I do quite a bit of it myself and it'd be hypocritical of me to do otherwise.
