I decided to give this a go, waiting for the launcher to download everything at the moment. Is there a particular server that TFF players are congregating on?

Rubat Crystal has myself and one other, that's the most I've seen. Obviously I'm biased.

Also, I've had more chances to flirt and seduce chicks as a Jedi Knight than I have with the Sith Inquisitor and Imperial Agent combined, and that's just on the first two worlds.

Started off as Inquisitor, and I've been having a decent time so far (Client only finished downloading and installing everything a few hours ago), but good god damn they do a good job of making you want to put your boot up Harkun's ass. Anyway, took a break, going to try and find a group for that Hate Machine heroic when I'm done eating.

You're gonna want three people for it. Depending on the classes. Warriors take a better beating, so find some of those for the group.

Yeah, but the only critter that was tough was the Queen.
Though the Lord Sunder quest had wayyy tougher mooks, had to be careful there.

I was a level 9 Inquisitor, and had two Warriors with me.
Can someone say meatshields? :3

Just finished all the quests on Korriban and got mah lightsaber, no more giant vibrators for me.

Hey something to keep in mind, doing space combat ca grant som serious xp, also some of the flashpoints are good for faring influence with you companions. Vette loved how I handled the Black Talon, but of course you can only take that on by yourself around lvl 18 - 20 depending. I was a 17 Maruader so i was cutting my way through for most of it until I hit a roadblock, will try again after Balmora.

Also, <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wjf_lWxqyI&feature=g-logo&context=G22efa89FOAAAAAAAAAA' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The war has begun in New York</a>.

Despite all the damage done to Star Wars in recent years, we might just be able to save the series.

I'm not insulted. I recognize what I am and when I did those quests, I'd have preferred other warriors with me, if only because Inquisitors die so much more easily.

Got a copy of the Collector's Edition as an early Christmas present (UPS delivered it two days early, hooray for the brownshirts), played a little bit of Sith Warrior before getting distracted by family drama. Will probably be playing it all day today to keep my mind off the arguing in the living room.

Well, I decided on Sith Sorcerer as my class up, gonna focus on being a nuker.

Though I hope I get decent AoE powers soon.

Finally got my starship. Space combat is fun, but I need upgrades to finish my first imperial escort. I kill the fighters quickly enough, yet the ship gets destroyed soon after I finish the bonus of 25 fighters destroyed.

I'm mostly switching around my characters until they all have their ship. Working on my Sith Juggernaut at the moment...hee hee, just got back to Darth Baras after dealing with the Grathan family...he is FLIPPING OUT.

"WHO WOULD ASK SUCH A STUPID QUESTION!? CLEARLY, THERE IS A PROBLEM HEEEERRRREEE!!!"

Playing smuggler and liking it but i'm gaining darkside points left and right, mostly because i wont deal with bullshit and being sickly sugary sweet just doesn't fit a smuggler.
Also the cover system could use some refinement right know i'm often crouching in the open.

Started playing Trooper on the side because I've been hearing raves about the storyline. I have to say, it really strikes close to home, which is probably why it's so compelling. Plus, rifle tanking > blaster pistol tanking. I'm going to see if I can get my friend to also roll a trooper and tank with it.

So, my Warrior, Diabolus, has recently begun encountering Jedi. So far I've killed a Jedi Master Guardian, a Jedi Guardian and his Padawan, and another Jedi. Each in different quests. So, I'm racking up the Jedi kills. I'd start a lightsaber collection if I could.

Heads up for the Smugglers (mostly spoiler free):

The Lightspring class quest on Tatooine can be especially difficult depending on how you go about it. The fight involves two Champion level enemies against yourself and a Champion level ally. One of the Champs will go after your ally and will continue to do so as long as you leave them mostly alone. The other spends the first minute or so being CCed, then will act as a healer (who is still quite capable of shooting the crap out of you by the way).

The easiest way to deal with the fight is to bring Corso Riggs, set him to DPS mode and deactivate all his taunts and AoEs (to ensure that the distracted Champ continues to be distracted). When the fight starts, move away and have Corso use his Harpoon on the CCed healer, then spend the next minute or so beating the tar out of it. If you don't manage to kill it before the CC ends, use your interrupt skill on the first heal, then the groin kick during the next heal, and back to the interrupt for the next heal. If you can't kill it in that time, well... you could be in trouble.

After the healer is down, you can simply auto-attack the other Champ to death, if you like. Don't go crazy with the DPS; you don't want to tank it.

And for those wondering about Sawbones Scoundrel healing- the heals at early levels are a frustrating, losing battle against energy loss. But it rather suddenly becomes much, much better at lv30 when you get Emergency Medpac- an instant heal that costs an UH stack but NO ENERGY. With Slow Release Medpac, Blaster Whip, Underworld Medicine and their related talents, you're swimming in UH procs so you get to use this heal a LOT, making it much easier to keep energy regen high. Just be sure NEVER to use an instant cast that costs energy (such as SRM) right after casting UM. Cast the instants BEFORE UM, and only follow UM with EM, Kolto Pack or a second UM.

thanks for that advice. I just got to that fight myself and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. So frustrating.

... almost as frustrating as the datacron hunt. Holy crap I suck at platform jumping.

ARGH! This recent nerf to slicing is killing me with my skilling. Originally I'd do a few slicing missions then a mission class (investigation, underworld trading, treasure hunting) mission. Now with this nerf it's pretty much all I can do to break even with the missions. Hopefully this gets better with higher level slicing...

You've probably cottoned on by now, but you can buy a full suite of first-level ship upgrades pretty cheaply at pretty much any spaceport, and they help a LOT. Actually having shields does wonders for your survivability, and the missile racks triple your stockpile of ammo.

So, I got SWTOR as a gift for christmas...I just got my ship for my first character (god I have so much free time right now, but not much longer). I'm going Chiss Imperial Agent/Sniper for my main(I think I'm one of the only ones on my server, no one lets me start off with a pull in groups until at least the second boss. All tank pulling till people learn).

My god is Biochem a useful crew spec though. You can make reusable medpacs, stims, and adrenals for yourself. I'm on a PvP server, Gardens of Talla, and being able to heal yourself and your companion to keep on trucking means I can take on most equal level Champions (the mix gold&silver ranked ones that seem to guard lore objects or datacron paths). Heard slicing was the moneymaker, but I seriously think the closest thing to alchemy is going to be more important monetarily at end-game (Biochem, Bioanalysis, Diplomacy; I'm so far entirely self-sufficient).

With the recent nerf on slicing, its not really even profitable to send your ppl out for lockboxes (yes even the rich ones give crap money now) but the augmets you get are still pretty useful down the line. Bioware didn't need to nerf slicing so much imo, getting that much money was nice but nerfing it to the point that you're not even breaking even with mission costs is kinda stupid.

They're probably doing the tried and true 'nerf it too hard then slowly buff it until it seems to work right.'

My Sith Juggernaut is up to level 25 now. Just got my speeder training so I can finally use the free speeder that came with my CE, and am now beginning the Tattooine questline. Might branch off to level my Agent some though.

After FINALLY finishing every quest on the shithole that is Balmorra, I have arrived on Nar Shaada.
It's looks freaking amazing, after Balmorra it's practically eyesex.

Level 26 Sith Sorcerer, I gained a level or three just doing space battles.
Which by the way, give way too much exp.

I'm considering rolling a Assassin and making him Light Side.
Because honestly, dark side feels more petty and evulz for the sake of evulz.
Some choices just make me go "what".

for my Inquisitor Sorcerer, I sort of switch one way or the other with the alignment choices depending on the situation. Its not ideal for building up your points but I have Diplomacy to go with my BioChem so I can make my score whatever I want it to be with enough patience. It feels a lot more natural than always defaulting to the upper-right-blue or lower-right-red choices.

Space battles quickly become obsolete and give out little exp once you level past them. I suspect that they have been included in the normal progression arc for leveling up.
