Nintendo never did an event giveaway for Diamond and Pearl for Shaymin, and in Black and White three of the hidden Legendaries still haven't been officially unveiled.

But for the actual question, I think it _may_ have been possible in Red and Blue and Yellow using the Mew glitch over and over to catch all the opposite version exclusives. That isn't trading or cheat codes

Wasn't that one only usable once per save file?

No. I believe there's only a couple of trainers in the game who can be battled to get Mew specifically, but to activate the glitch nearly any trainer will do.

Well since noone wants to trade I'm trying to do that 'change the clock to 23:59' thing so that I can change the outbreak until it reaches Smeargle but for some reason it won't work. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right and it worked the first time but all follow ups do nothing. I know the day is changing on the clock since the season changed too. Does Black have some kind of protection against this?


Also I just relized that there is no way to get EV lowering berries, so no Pomegs and now I can't Audino level grind until I max out the EVs in something usefull.

I have no idea where you catch Smeargle in Pokemon Black, but if it's in whatever version of the Safari Zone Black has, you definitely need to exit and reenter the area.

There is no safari zone. BW most of the old gen pokemon are caught after you beat the game in easter half of the state/country. Unfortuanatly there is nowhere near all of them in either or both games combined. Some like Smeargle don't even apear unless you get a swarm, which only happens once a day on certain routes. Smeargle is route 5 and unfortunately I have to wait god knows how long until that route apears in my Black game.


Also when I get my smeargle I will be willing to trade the resulting Beamspamming headasploding Zorua kits for the right mons.

Finally got around to picking up a copy of Pokemon Emerald today.

I discovered something awesome in B&W. In the new bridge there are shadows that can either be shadows or Swanna. I can use it for level grinding, money grinding, and EV grinding. First I'm likely to get a feather, which I can sell for amazingly high prices, if I find a Swanna I can kill it for both the decent XP it gives + 2 Speed EVs. Since Swanna is water/Flying I can just spam thunderbolt which can be taught to quite a few pokemon.

In other news: I really hate the random Match up. I've fought over 50 battles, won 49 of them, and only got credit for 3. Fuckers are always quiting just when I beat them or right before. But the Launcher Battle is my favorite way to fight. I really wish they could make a way where you can challenge other ingame trainers to specific types of battle.


Advice:

1: Don't Grind on Audino early in the game! Audino give 2 HP EVs, and in the new gen you can't get rid of EVs naturaly. EVER! Wait until you're sure you filled up your guys EVs or have something that can use HP EVs.

2: Make sure you take out Lenora's Watchog quick, it nearly always uses Retaliate as it's first move after being brought in. 210 damage!

3: Watch out for berry use. You can't grow them anymore so save the good ones as long as possible.


Finally I still have cute little Zorua pups up for adoption to a good home. As many as you want! They all have perfect speed stat and a few are in the Outstanding quality! Please some one take some! I just don't feel right just deleting them!

I already knew about the bridges, though. A nice place to grind to sell Wings for lots of money .

Of course it's a necro. But it's of my own topic

I have up to Pokemon Adventures 13 now, but haven't gotten past Volume 8. Think I may be going to reread through the first 7 volumes to start (R/B and then Yellow arcs) before making my way through the newer arcs.

On a side note, picking up my SoulSilver copy again, I can safely say that Pokemon Trainer Red is one of the baddest motherfuckers in all of video games.
