Touma, Accelerator and IMAGINE BURREEEKKAAA

It's because more often than not, some people on TVTropes haven't got a clue what they're talking about.

I took that statement to be a reference to the fact that Touma before he loses his memories, Touma after he loses his memories, and Touma after he was presumed dead had different metalities. It was a plot point in one of the books that recently Touma wasn't as gung ho heroic as he previously was, because he was too worried about people constantly using him for their own purposes.

That wasn't even Touma after presumed dead, that was Touma after he went to Hawaii. Even then it was relatively short-lived character development. TVTropes just made a mistake.

Cool. I take it the translated volumes are all up on Baka-Tsuki then?

Then I know what I'm moving onto after I'm done with my catch up of Highschool DxD.

I was being serious. And I think that's an misinterpretation.

Touma disappears at the end of Volume 22, presumed dead, and then doesn't appear again until the end of the next volume in the following series. That volume was focused on the two other male protagonists and when Touma reappears, he saves the day without knowing what's actually going on. I'm not sure why he's being called a "third" Touma. :hmm:
Its probably because its referred to symbolically as Touma's "Second Death" and people run with it.

that guy is translating it fast
And yeah, Js06 is ridiculously fast.

How long does it usually take for the whole volume to be translated? I prefer reading them in one go.
I'd check back in about a week then. It'll probably be about done by then.

Translation Status:

First chapter done as well as part of the second.

Damn that's fast.

Good stuff, my only complaint is that the whole volume isn't going to be Touma and Misaki interacting. They are gold.

You don't really need to know someone when your mind is being influenced with psychic waves.

The Collector
Indeed. Went in a totally different direction from what I was expecting.

Yeah, it was a pretty good read. Another missed chance to see the 6th Level 5 though. He's the only one we've never met.

Man Fräulein Kreutune is scary, eating a person supported by the AIM field, well she can do anything

She wasn't supported by the AIM field anymore, her AIM thought entity form was destroyed by Touma, but she had a backup thought entity body created from the motions of her spare cockroaches. Though I'm not sure if it would have mattered, since Krutune is something that consumes information, so it's entirely possible she can go about eating AIM thought entities as well. But yeah, she's definitely scary, and that isn't an end I'd wish to experience.

Accelerator had a pretty awesome moment this volume.

His entrance defeated 1000 "Heroes"

And poor Hamazura - he had to bow out much too early.

I hope he gets a leading part in a volume soon.

Someone claimed that Dolly was clearly a Misaka clone, apparently on the grounds that she was a female clone with dark hair.

It's not really a stretch to imagine that being the case. She looks similar enough to Mikoto, Dolly is a prototype that is "the crystallization of [their] greatest wishes," and has several lines that may or may not foreshadow a linking to Mikoto.

She might not be Full Tuning but that's not to say that later prototypes couldn't fit the mold. A later version of 'Dolly' could very well be the basis of the Sisters. All we know right is that the clones have some sort of link to the Exterior Project.

It's also implied that she's on life support and works as an unstable amplifier for Misaki.

NT 8 Cover:

And Summary.
Gremlin has been manipulating the entire world from the shadows. That organization that brings together science and magic had caused several threats: the terror attacks in Hawaii, the experiment in Baggage City, stealing an immortal existence sleeping in Academy City. And all of that had a reason.

Gungnir.

To stop the creation of that divine spear which is the magic god Othinus’s ultimate objective, Ollerus, the man who missed out on becoming a magic god, has disguised himself as the lightning god Thor, has infiltrated Gremlin’s base in Sargasso, and has begun investigating.

The countdown to the world’s destruction is drawing near.

Meanwhile, Kamijou Touma wakes up at home to find a little girl (Leivinia) and an erotic girl (Lessar) have snuck in bed with him.

Yes, of course! Of course that’s what happens to Kamijou-san as a crisis approaches the world!
