But yes. The problem with villains is that after a while of them still being around, keeping on killing and maiming... And people wonder why I like Jason's methods better.
You say that like death is a permanent thing in comics.
Well if you set a standard of backhanding every writer that suddenly decides to revive someone, it could be.

I fully support Superman's totalitarian regime, if it will stop bullshit like this from happening.

If you kill everyone who comes back to life within a week of their resurrection they'll eventually stop coming back.

Nah, then you'll get instances of them coming back in multiples. It'd be like in Buffy where she died for a while and then suddenly 2 slayers. Then died again and then even more slayers.

Not sure where to put this, but what are your opinions of the New 52 Superman's outfit compared to the original? It's similar, but with darker colors and gets rid of the Underwear of Power. Also, his signature "S" is a bit less curved and more angular. Superman's costume in the upcoming Man of Steel film looks like it will feature the New 52 outfit.
I like the old one better to be honest. It's slightly goofy and all, but it really fits with what Superman is supposed to be.
Yeah, this. I don't hate the new costume, but I don't like it, either. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Nice issue...basically, Otto spends the issue trying to get into MJ's pants. But gets c*ck-blocked. He eventually developed real feelings for MJ via his time with her + experiencing Peter's memories/feelings and decides to do the noble (and logical) thing.

Those who were worried about rape cane now rest easy I suppose. :mmm:

Lex Luthor and his Homo Erotic obsession with Superman is such a fucking creeper.

Shit if I was Superman not even sure if I could feel comfortable in the same room with someone who stalks me so hardcore.

How many children has Lex Luthor secretly made with material from Superman combined with his own now?
I am suddenly reminded of a fanfic I read years ago where they had Luthor as a woman. It made the whole Lex/Superman dynamic really interesting. Espically when Lex found out Superman really isn't an idiot after some catastrophe they had to work together on. Some serious creepy, stalker behavior going on there.

Makes me sad I can't find it anymore. It was a couple hundred thousand words. Think it got purged by the author when they left the net.

There was a little bit of the whole Psychic NTR though as you can see there where Ghost!Peter is forced to watch Otto mentally relive some of his past relationship with MJ but overall I am actually sorta not totally hating this arc which I'll admit I was not expecting. It's not as good as Governor-General Howlett over in Xtreme X-men, but then what is?

So he can't get the girl, is unsatisfied with his delusions, so he decides to dump her? Is he going to try for Black Cat next?

You know.. Silver Sable would've been the best option if she weren't dead.

Actually, its kinda hard to tell if she's dead. Madame Web said she wasn't then 10 issues later she's shown as a ghost talking to Peter. How odd...

Unless the Peter in Doc Ock's body was based on memories made prior to the Madam Web explanation and the one that is the 'ghost' is essentially Peter's real personality fighting back against the Otto partition.

Yeah, but when Superman was initially designed it wasn't goofy, it was perfectly fitting to the times. The character isn't about being a dated relic.

I dunno, we've seen him in the future.
He's a dated relic there.

Dated relic and goofy don't have to mean the same thing.

Trying to give Superman a new modern costume just falls flat on its face to me, because that's just not Superman.

Give him goofy pajamas and let him talk about truth, justice and the American Way while being perfectly serious about it, and that's more in-keeping with the spirit of the character.

He's not a dated relic, but a the same time he's not 'new'. He's kind of the superhero prototype. He can't be new.

@shinzero01: Less 'dated relic' more Incredibly Relevant Historical Figure that inspired superheroes and whose legacy lives on and all that stuff.

You're all wrong. The Superman of the future was clearly single.

From the tie in comic for Injustice Among Us:

So... is the reaction they are looking for here supposed to be anything but 'about time!'?

Seriously, I'd buy Superman a beer if I could.

Also, Joker when a writer remembers he is not just a homicidal maniac with super plot armor:

until batman kills him, directly or refusing to save him, the joker will not stay dead for long

Wow, Otto actually trolled him good. Even Peter has to approve of that one. JJJ can't say anything without either agreeing with Spock or admitting he's a fucking moron.

Well played, Otto. Well played indeed.

not completely sure since i have only seen isolated pages but i would guess that the joker was the one who made superman believe Lois was Doomsday which caused him to beat her (and their unborn child) to death. With that in mind i would say this is superman getting his revenge. (and subsequently proving at least one version of the joker right)

Basically.

Like I said, it's from the tie in comics to the Injustice God Among Us game.

From what was stated about that page, this is a comic that explains the backstory behind the characters in that new Injustice game coming out. Basically it explains why the heroes are more bloodthirsty than usual.

Ah damn, ninja'd.

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qYDCgw4SMk' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The new regimen</a>

Still don't get the whole story but it boils down to the Joker destroying Metropolis, killing Jimmy Olsen and making Superman kill Loise and his unborn child.

Superman has had enough of super villains so he started a new regimen where heroes kill the villains:

Supes, Wonder Woman and Hall Jordan are in the New Regimen

Batman leads a resistance together with Luthor and most of the "gadget heroes" also Flash is with them

And Joker is alive in the game... somehow

Like TC_Hazard said, I'd buy Supes a drink if I could. About time! God dammit, Batman! Why do you think a crackdown to take out Supervillains for good is a bad thing?!
