The funny thing is that the Dreizehn is a simple LEV, not an OF. And despite that, he can give most OFs a run for their money as far as firepower goes. It's like a Zaku beating a Gundam in a 'who blows more shit up' battle...
Hell, it's not even a red LEV - at least that way, there'd be a certain precedent for it kicking ass.

It's kind of jarring to go from FoM to ZOE2:TSR, because my LEVs were owning everything that moved, and then BAHRAM got Anubis reverse engineered and owned everything on Mars. Took some readjustment for me, I tell ya -_-

Ah, but do they have jumpjets?

I consider that the beauty of Battlemechs; they're so versatile. I reckon even one of these "Bolos" would be in trouble if 75 tons of fusion-powered ferro-fibrous steel dropped onto it from above with its' pulse lasers charged.

Actually, LEVs tend to kick ass if they are WHITE. See the Vic Viper (white with blue stripes). :snigger:

Um, David... with all due respect, a Bolo could be on ground zero of a Super Robot's attack and come out of it without a scratch. A tac-nuke wouldn't even scratch the paint off it, let alone slow it down.

75 tons of Battlemech would be more or less the equivalent of a particularly bothersome gnat to a Bolo.

In which case:

Could someone tell me just what the HELL these "Bolo" things are?!
Well, there were several versions, I've not read them myself, but I'm told the series was quite good.

Bolo's, depending on version, are basically mountian sized tanks designed for high scale warefare and planetary defense. A Bolo, as previously stated, should have no real issue shooting at something in space, so long as it was in the allowable arc of fire.

A standard mecha, say Gundum/Eva/robotech sized, would normally be a joke to something of that scale.

Heck, mecha wise, I'm uncertain anything short of a SDF main reflex cannon could really do much to a bolo.

EDIT: GH beat me on the response. Oh well.

A big self aware tank capable of dueling with star ships in geosynchronous orbit.

Please do note that the title of the thread is favorite MECHA design. Bolos apply just as much as Veritechs.

Well, if we're going for sheer insane amount of destroying shit, Ideon wins, period. Can't beat ending the fscking universe.

Runner up is RahXephon, for being able to tamper with reality itself, but even though it's not half as WTFH4X as Ideon, I liked RahXephon way better. Show, mecha, all.

Also, SIEG ZEON! B)

...because someone had to say it.

Hmmm...

If you count reality altering mecha, then what about Arbalest from Full Metal Panic?

I don't count the Arbalest as being reality-altering, per se. It's a product of Black Technology - in other words, a plot device - and as such can ignore the laws of physics to an extent. But it's not very unique within its own series; various other similar (and in some cases, superior) mecha exist in FMP.

And, oh yeah, WH40k titans... pure, massive overkill, but awesomely so xD
I was about to mention the Titans from WH40K, and then I spotted this mention. ^_^

And I'm not really greatly enamoured of the Arbalest of FMP. OK, it's Sousuke's fault he can't get it to work all the time, but I still think it's kind of boring. I prefer the Venom. :D

'nuff said. The most kick-ass self-aware mecha there was, is and will ever be.

Curiously, Megatron is in the strange position of pwning himself.

Why?

Galvatron. That is all. ^_^

Will always be cooler than Prime. Period.
That, GH, depends.

On what?

I have a faible for the good guys, and Optimus Prime is a role-model when it comes to self-sacrificing Goody-Two-Shoes.

And, frankly, Megatron's Color Scheme sucks so badly that I feel nauseous everytime I see it.

Heh, the only transformers I ever really watched was the 3D one whwere everyone turned into animals when not in there mech form "Beast Wars" or something like that. (The first one they had continuation to the series that sucked,)

I remember liking the Decepticon that joined Optimus Prime after he attempted to seize control from Megatron and failed horribly. Turned into a raptor I think.

IMHO, the military vectors from Aquarion were pretty darn cool. (The story though...was another matter entirely  )

So long as you're jacked up in shadow angel fluids and got em dummy plug knock offs attached...you'll get to personally fly 3 spiffy jets, pull off instant Gatais to 3 cool Getter robot forms...not to mention a side dish of 2 henges into a Beast mode and Macross mode.

Really...what's not to love?

If you manage to find two hawt ladies to co-pilot with you...you'll even get to do the whole orgasm thing. :snigger:

Just remember, no guys......cause that would be gay. :sick3:

I have a new fondness for the Blu Duel for Gundam Seed Stargazer. The foldout beam rifles are very nice and and it looks better than the Strike Noir (guess which two new models I put together in the last 24 hours) even if it isn't quite as heavily armed.
