I love this snippet, and it has in turn inspired another ungodly nutty idea in me:

Asuka Langley Soryu. She's been a bitch, a bigger bitch, a sexually repressed bitch... You get the idea.

But, what if something happened during her childhood besides the death of her mother to make her, well... More mellow?

*snippet snipped*

An Asuka who takes after Osaka from Azumanga Daioh.
Osaka? For a moment there, I thought you were going for Luna Lovegood.

EDIT: Sorry for the necropost...
Wait, what?

You necroed one of my threads with a reference to Hairy Pooper?
Ha, put a sock in it, Raa. It was a justified reference :p

In what way, Frenchie?

I don't really see how it's justified.

Besides the whole "death of her mother" they have almost nothing else in common. Luna saw her mother get murdered/die in an accident (was either clarified?) while Asuka's mother committed suicide with a doll in front of her while pretending the doll was actually her. Yeah, major difference right there to the damaging of the psyche of a child...

Being ignored by your mother while she commits suicide (especially after years of already ignoring you, which also tore down her self-esteem) with a doll she thinks is you...yeah, that's a big blow to one's self-esteem. Being replaced by a doll and all.

Not justified as in background, but justified in how the behaviour of Asuka (at first) called into mind the other. There are differences in psyche, naturally. Canon shows us that being ignored over a doll gave her a superiority complex but the snippet didn't say exactly what caused the change from that to this.

Something that made her hide from reality, or induced ADD so as to avoid inevitably thinking about it? :huh.: I am not familiar with the intended parallel (Osaka) so I posted the first thing that came to my mind. I am sorry.

Still makes no sense to me and I am still enraged that it was brought up in one of my threads.

Because of that, I was unable to write something for Can't Believe like I had planned and instead was forced to write something PWP for Ranma.

On the one hand... damn! I wanted more Can't Believe.

On the other hand... I like Ranma porn.

Call it a push then.

Hmmm,,,

So... where is that Ranma PWP update at? I checked Ranma and Ranma lemon preview sections here at TFF, and over at the BYTM forum, and did not see it.

The RSS feeds for your FanFiction.NET, MediaMiner.ORG, LoveJournal.COM, and FicWad.COM accounts do not show as having an update either.

No...she has an inferiority complex. Which is why she constantly tries to overcompensate for her inferiority by achieving the best results in what she viewed as the only thing left for her -- her Eva performance.

Superiority complex is what happened to Narcissus.

The italicized is what Asuka did during the whole series. A superiority complex doesn't seem to have exaggerated aggressiveness, probably because one with a superiority complex is more "secure" in their superiority than one with an inferiority complex.

Italicized is that which is what is shown when we see Asuka's dreams in the series.

...what you just italicized is a superiority complex. A superiority complex almost always stems from an inferiority complex, it's one of the many ways an inferiority complex can manifest itself. So, technically, you're correct when you say Asuka has one, you're just wrong when you say she doesn't have a superiority complex.

And wow. A neurotic disorder that is wholly or partially subconscious. I would not have guessed that. After all, it's not like a neurotic disorder represents a variety of psychiatric conditions in which emotional distress or unconscious conflict is expressed through various physical, physiological, and mental disturbances, which may include physical symptoms, or anything along those lines, is it?

Ah. I didn't know that one stemmed from the other. That always confused me.

I know, isn't that so weird? :D

Wait, are people STILL discussing Hairy Pooper stuff in one of my threads?

This is the FINAL warning - it happens again and content will be removed.

Same goes for anything resembling Emo McFailNinja.

You probably don't want to know what my first reaction to this post was. The only reason I didn't post my first reaction (which I'm very sure would piss you off), is because I'm pretty sure you meant that.

Suffice to say, though, that I'm now almost as annoyed at you, as I think you are at the person who necro'd this thread.

Just sayin'.

Actually I believe they are discussing Asuka and her psycholigical problems, not one of the forbidden fandoms.

New(ish) idea that can be summed up in four words:

Rei with Tourette's syndrome.

It'd be cheap comedy to have Rei spout random obscenities, but some times, cheap comedy is all I can do.

For added fun, the other pilots are also starting to be affected.

So...Rei would randomly start cursing at Gendo and other people?

Agreed, however, I like to think that I use a sliver of logic to set up most of my crackfics.

I can't see how a NGE/TTGL cross would work, given that their settings are so different. That is the stumbling block that I would have in writing such a crossover.
I can't believe you Lord Raa....

I'M doing exactly that...

My dear chum, do kindly notice the date on the post you replied to. (Almost a year ago.)

And honestly, the cursing randomly would be... amusing to say in the least. Especially if Gendo cannot get rid of it. No matter what.

The more important question would be when in the show. :snigger:

Huh?

*looks at posts*

Whoops... :unsure!: :sweat2:

The random swearing is a good idea, but how would Rei do it? Loud like most ppl? Or just loud enough to be heard...which is a little more disconcerting to me...

Low toned so people would have to lean in to hear it, complex and well thought out personal insults, and very few repetitions.
