maybe a flashback?
You mean a flashback of Naruto coming to his conclusion?

I know people don't like flashbacks much, but it is better than Naruto just talking to himself or Kurama in a "as you already know but I'll repeat for no reason" way

“So how did it go?” Were the first words out of her Queens’s mouth as she made it back to the club room. Her body demanded rest, so she took her customary seat behind her desk, slumping into the chair allowing her body to relax. Briefly giving her friend a weak glare for denying her the sleep she craved, she began to explain the situation.

“Originally, the plan had been for him to receive a flier from my familiar, so that I could contact him later on.” Rias began, her words teeming with fatigue.

“Unfortunately that plan was completely ruined by the Fallen.” Leaning her head against the polished wood of her desk, the crimson haired beauty closed her eyes, the cool surface felt pleasant against her skin.

“What did she do?”

“She killed him.” Was the simple response. Rias usually preferred to doing things dramatically, however at the moment, she was too tired to try.

Akeno frowned. It was no secret she hated the Fallen due to her past, but she knew Azazel. He was obsessed with Sacred Gears, and learning everything he could about them. For members of his organisation to be killing humans with them instead of recruiting them…

“I did bring him back, but it cost me all eight of my pawns.” The Gremory heir knew it was going to take multiple pieces to reincarnate the teen, but she’d have at least been able to hold on to one or two if she turned him while he was alive!

Sighing, she groaned to herself,

“What a mess…”

“What do you plan to do about the Fallen Angels?” There was a cold edge to her friend’s voice, and Rias sighed to herself, Akeno’s animosity towards the fallen was understandable.

“We’ll discuss it tomorrow. Right now, I’m exhausted and need to sleep.”

A frown marring her face, the dark haired girl seemed to visibly hold herself back from asking more.

“Understood.”

Issei only wakes up to Rias in his bed after he gets rekt by Donutsick, right? The first time he just wakes traumatized and finds out that Yuuma-chan got retconned (yay trauma), right?

As far as I recall, and that's a few days after he get's resurrected.

For some reason I was expecting it to be from after Naruto did whatever he is going to do.
I was pleasantly wrong

I thought it might work better narratively to have Rias explain a little to Akeno while she was tired. Next up I need to try an write Issei as if he had a horrible case of the Flu...

Have you read this MoB? I'm wondering cuz if not it might be worth looking at it for some inspiration on how you want to portray Rias and...quite a few characters really.

Of course, it's not perfect and in a different fandom, but the author does work with what he has well.

First off, why would you necro the thread like that?

Second, what. You're holding that piece of shit up as an example to follow? What the actual fuck?

Yeah, sorry. I've been a bit busy with Christmas shopping. I'll give that fic a look, but not tonight.

I have, however, been puzzling over what to do with Asia.

Do I want to know why it's so horrible?

Well, explain anyway so that I know what I'm getting into when I read it.

First off, I didn't realize this was a thread necro. And anyway, MoB allows us to make suggestions on how to portray characters.

Second, I don't believe that the story is bad in it's whole. His execution is flawed, but I believe that he has some good points to the story that can serve as a good manner of inspiration in portraying the whole Three factions situation.

Calling it a piece of shit isn't justified, but whatever. At least you didn't devolve into baseless name calling over this, in which case this would've become little more than a senseless argument.

Well, the author's note at the end of the first chapter flat out says the author isn't a fan of DxD and stopped reading after the third volume. Meaning anything including Khaos Brigade or almost anything at all in the series is going without actual knowledge of the series. I don't think that needs any more explanation.

I read it, found it interesting and the author does raise some good points about both canon and fanon in his notes. But while I like it, I have to admit he falls in some cliché while trying to side-step others. It's a F/SN Xover with Shirou pulling a Kaleidoscope by managing to summon Serafall to resurrect Ilia after her body finally give up. The F/SN purists will hate it. While the author try to explain some things as being different because of a slight difference when Shirou was saved from the fire, his explanation of how Shirou managed to call a devil like Serafall from another dimension is flimsy at best. There is also the fact that he made Shirou into a Gary-Stu (a Maou "Queen", managed to bring another Maou to his knees during a fight to determine what title he should be given, still have access to all his swords and UBW and is somehow immune to light and holy powers because, apparently, he is the first human, since the creation of the Evil Piece System, to manage to keep his human soul after being turned into a Devil...).

I have to admit, it's the first time I read a fanfic more for what the author did with the "Side-Characters" than for the "Hero". Like KurokamiDG said, it's an interesting take on the three factions and particularly, on the motivations of some of their members (he managed to make Kokabiel into a character that I both liked and respected, a first in all the fics I have already read). But to appreciate it you need to pretty much ignore the near SI named Shirou that just happen to be able to spam swords and have a Reality Marble named "Unlimited Blade Works"...

Thank you. I couldn't express why I recommended it any better than you did.

But yeah, that's pretty much why I did it. It's not perfect by any means, but it does explore subjects that we have discussed in this thread before. Hopefully you can find some manner of inspiration out of a different POV MoB, despite the source of it.

Do you think it's worth putting a small scene of Issei in his room, suffering from the effects of his reincarnation?

Afaik, reincarnation process is pretty much instant, no agony or suffering involved, there is the whole transition period where he has to get used to daily lethargy, improved senses, night sight, but other than that, there is no badness involved with it.

Aside from alergy to holy effects, denial by prayer system, absolute death if killed by holy light.

This.
You would have to set this as new readers won't know, and older readers would skip any way. There has to be some explanation as to why things happen they way that they do.
Nothing elaborate just a few lines I think then move on.

More than the effects of his reincarnation, it would be more the after effects of his death that could trouble him: phantom pain where the lance went through him and the psychological consequences of the fact that the very first girl he though liked/loved him was only playing him for fool and betrayed and killed him... Aside from that, like l3fty said, there is not much for him to be suffering from (have trouble adapting to, yes, suffer from, not really).

As for the worth of such a scene, it depend: it's not really necessary in itself, but it could be used in conjunction with others such scenes later in the story to show his growth as a character.

Anime pretty much covers it rather fast, he notices that he is more lively during the night, notices he sees in the dark as if though it is daylight, hears some kid begging her mom for something, feels as if some power is coursing through him, then Dohnaseek starts monologuing at him.

I don't know, the more I think about it, the less I know what to suggest, best would be to just keep it simple, just make it as Issei noting small odditties in his regular life during one day, without Dohnaseek jumping him the night after Yuuma killed him and Rias picked him up,

You mean have Donahseek show up a day or so after Issei figures somethings up?

Issei was figuring stuff out the first day, then some creepy looking old man started monologuing at him while he was thinking of more important matters.

I don't know, depends how you want to play it. Do you want him to experiment with his vision and hearing for a day or two, check his strength and speed too while he's at it, he is a DBZ fan, it would be an interesting thing to him and could be something that would make him stop thinking about the strange "dream" about his strange date.
