If one were to articulate a reason why Shuuno is better than Yuunoha (or vice versa), what would that argument be, I wonder?
"Nanoha is married to her job!" "Well, Stern is loyal to Dearche first of all."
"Nanoha respects Yuuno as her magical teacher." "So does Stern. If anything Stern seems to place more respect in Yuuno, given that she calls him Shishou after he beat her (or at least survived her) in battle." "But before that, she was just looking to crush him like a bug." "So she said."
"If Stern decided that she wanted Yuuno, she'd get straight to the point." "If Nanoha decided the same thing... well, she might, or she dither about it."
"Stern is an intellectual who would share Yuuno's love of learning." "Nanoha is more fun-loving and would get him out of the library for something other than a sparring match." "But Yuuno would be the one to take Stern out to enjoy normal activities, as dates."
Stuff like that.

On the Shuuno side, a typical "date" scenario for them would be something like a discourse over intellectual things, possibly over a cup of coffee. This is something that they most likely would do given their personalities.
A Yuunoha "date" would be Nanoha dragging Yuuno to an amusement park or something that involves lots of physical activities. Both are really focused on their careers, but its easy to see that Nanoha would be the one asking Yuuno out if they had the time.

Also as another person mentioned Crowbel I find their to be a slight resemblance to Dicei, then again I see Nove and forget if she is a clone of subaru with slightly altered DNA, or if Subaru's DNA was mixed with some one else's, with her temper I see Vita.
Anyone want to guess what pairings Scaglati made when making the Numbers including Due, Tre , and Quatro who was made from the DR.'s DNA plus anothers.

Morning, I'm new and thought I'd start posting here, as it's an interesting thread. I personally don't particularly focus on any one pairing, though there are certain ones I enjoy the idea of. The only ones I don't like reading are ones that feel like they're totally breaking characterization to pieces.
Ignoring the usual Fate/Nanoha and Nanoha/Yuuno, I like (many of these mentioned before):
Arisa/Fate: I had this weird idea once of Arisa (who had some subtext about Nanoha in the first series) getting jealous of Nanoha's interest in Fate, and one thing led to another. Sadly, I'm not the best writer.
Arisa/Yuuno: I'd love to see more of this, I found I think one story elsewhere with this, it was interesting and well done. The contrast in their characters could be fun.
Cinque/Signum: Their personalities are similar, and just something about it I find interesting. The issue is they might kill each other first.
Ginga/Hayate: Hayate knows Ginga's father well, and one could posit visits that could lead elsewhere. Also, they both have a stability that could work well together.
Hayate/Yuuno: This simply works for me, and as far as I'm aware outside joking 'skinship' fanon, Hayate hasn't shown any interest in anyone.
Signum/Yuuno: I saw this elsewhere, and would love to see more in this vein.
Honestly, I adore Yuuno, and really wish there was more Yuuno fics out there, that's why he's on my list a lot.

Oh, really? I don't think I've seen that one, maybe I missed it at fanfiction.net, or is it elsewhere? I read a lot of your stories there: I especially enjoyed the Day in the Life stuff.

Hayate/Yuuno is one of my favorite pairings. They give off a vibe that they're just really comfortable around each other. I recall a NSWF one-shot original doujin where two childhood friends are just lounging around and one asks the other if they should get married while they're playing video games. The next page has them signing the marriage certificate. It was absurdly adorable and I can see Yuuno and Hayate being like that.
It's really, really hard to do I'll admit. It has plenty of potential, but I found it really hard to do. When I did S&S, I had to tweak Yuuno so he had the potential for battle-lust and crank up Signum's. There was likely a better way about it, but that's what I get for not thinking far enough ahead. XD
I can see that. He's a good character and he works with a lot of pairings. =3
I think the issue of the Wolks and Rein having DNA is completely dependent on your head-canon.
Truthfully, I don't think they have DNA in the same sense that humans or other biological entities have. Whether they were all human at one point or creations by the Book of Darkness, they are currently "living programs" and are simulated lifeforms. However this is where I like to dip into cross-franchise ideas. The Megaman X series has this notion of a DNA Soul which is what makes each reploid unique even if they have the same body as thousands of others.
I am of the opinion that the Wolks and Rein have something similar only on a much more complex level. It gives them a DNA map so that they can live as biological entities, but in a pseudo-digital state. How far that goes depends on what you're doing, but it does open up the idea that DNA samples could be used to clone the Wolks. Given the role of all five for the Book of Darkness, they're likely sterile, but it does depend on what the author is writing.
