Morning, I'm new and thought I'd start posting here, as it's an interesting thread. I personally don't particularly focus on any one pairing, though there are certain ones I enjoy the idea of. The only ones I don't like reading are ones that feel like they're totally breaking characterization to pieces.
Good to have you here. It's always a pleasure to have a new face join us. I hope you have fun. =3
Sadly, there are a lot of those sorts of fics out there. It can be really hard to sift through everything to find that one story that just work
Arisa/Fate: I had this weird idea once of Arisa (who had some subtext about Nanoha in the first series) getting jealous of Nanoha's interest in Fate, and one thing led to another. Sadly, I'm not the best writer.
That could be rather interesting. It sounds rather hard to pull off; but the fact both are jut so different from one another is plenty of fodder for interaction.
Arisa/Yuuno: I'd love to see more of this, I found I think one story elsewhere with this, it was interesting and well done. The contrast in their characters could be fun.
I think I remember seeing that one on fanfiction.net but never got around to reading it. And the contrast could definitely be fun. I can imagine it being very similar to a relationship with Nanoha only with Vita levels of Tsun and about twice as much dragging the poor man around to go outside. XD
Cinque/Signum: Their personalities are similar, and just something about it I find interesting. The issue is they might kill each other first.
Killing each other would be a bit of a problem there. But a relationship between them would indeed be quite the sight to see. Even if it doesn't go romantic, I can see them as being a very potent set of friends or battle buddies.
Ginga/Hayate: Hayate knows Ginga's father well, and one could posit visits that could lead elsewhere. Also, they both have a stability that could work well together.
This I had never really expected to see pop up. It could be interesting though. I just question how 'stable' Subaru is. XD
Hayate/Yuuno: This simply works for me, and as far as I'm aware outside joking 'skinship' fanon, Hayate hasn't shown any interest in anyone.
Hayate/Yuuno is one of my favorite pairings. They give off a vibe that they're just really comfortable around each other. I recall a NSWF one-shot original doujin where two childhood friends are just lounging around and one asks the other if they should get married while they're playing video games. The next page has them signing the marriage certificate. It was absurdly adorable and I can see Yuuno and Hayate being like that.
Signum/Yuuno: I saw this elsewhere, and would love to see more in this vein.
It's really, really hard to do I'll admit. It has plenty of potential, but I found it really hard to do. When I did S&S, I had to tweak Yuuno so he had the potential for battle-lust and crank up Signum's. There was likely a better way about it, but that's what I get for not thinking far enough ahead. XD
Honestly, I adore Yuuno, and really wish there was more Yuuno fics out there, that's why he's on my list a lot.
I can see that. He's a good character and he works with a lot of pairings. =3

I wonder if the Wolks even have traceable DNA. They aren't real humans after all which makes difficult to know if they can be cloned or reproduced in-vitro. ..let alone mixig their genes with those of real humans o_o
Reinforce isn't human, yet she technically has a "daughter" born from Hayate's linker core. Maybe Jail can mix sentient program data with human DNA.
I think the issue of the Wolks and Rein having DNA is completely dependent on your head-canon.
Truthfully, I don't think they have DNA in the same sense that humans or other biological entities have. Whether they were all human at one point or creations by the Book of Darkness, they are currently "living programs" and are simulated lifeforms. However this is where I like to dip into cross-franchise ideas. The Megaman X series has this notion of a DNA Soul which is what makes each reploid unique even if they have the same body as thousands of others.
I am of the opinion that the Wolks and Rein have something similar only on a much more complex level. It gives them a DNA map so that they can live as biological entities, but in a pseudo-digital state. How far that goes depends on what you're doing, but it does open up the idea that DNA samples could be used to clone the Wolks. Given the role of all five for the Book of Darkness, they're likely sterile, but it does depend on what the author is writing.
ANYWAY!
Exposition rant over.
You know what could be a crazy pairing? Or even just a fun pair to see interact? Zafira and Quattro.
