Part of the reason why a 30 year old man dating a 23 year old woman is considered acceptable when compared to a 21 year old dating a 14 year old is that the 23yo is an adult and *should* know what she's doing.

the 14yo is still a minor, at least in the West, so some people feel that it is taking advantage of them.


At least, that's logic I imagine those that have that perceived double-standard to go along.

Who can say? After aren't there various characters in various anime and manga 14-ish and haven't tons of lemon fanfics being written about them? Or fanfics that place them in 'fade to black' situations.

Pretty much what Seiya said. Lord Raa has an undying hatred for a certain ninja manga/anime as well as a certain wizarding novel series. I can not fault him for this, I merely wish he wouldn't over react to mentions of their existence in any thread he is part-taking of.

Petpeeve: How people break up Mamoru and Usagi. Either by him tearing out her heart or her doing it to him especially in the case of the latter.

They are engaged by the end of the series and married by the end of the manga. They are quite content with each other and I just find it annoying how Mamoru either dumps her harshly or Usagi just ups and leaves him for no reason. Mamoru loves her even though I don't much care for how he treats her. He wouldn't just randomly leave her.

Usagi's one trait that stayed with her in the manga to anime conversion was her sensitivity to other people's feelings. Yet they make her into a ice cold bitch even though time and time again she would always choose Mamoru. She has always showered him with love and would always put another's feelings before her own.

It's more that I don't like people mentioning those series in my threads.

In other people's threads? That just makes me lose interest and start to think about other things.

Things like "Why do I find the idea of Ritsuko ordering Misato to molest Shinji so entertaining?"

Or "Who would be hot to pair up with Setsuna?"

Or "How the hell am I still able to get mileage out of Can't Believe?"

And "What should I have for dinner?"

Hey, Seiya, real quick question: what do we know about Motoki Furuhata?

He, and Ittou Asanuma are one of the few people who know the senshi's true identity in the manga. I can't remember if Naru knows too. Excluding Rei nearly all the senshi had a crush in him in the manga. He and his girlfriend Reika go to the same university as Setsuna, K.O University. Well before Setsuna became a nurse at Hotaru's school.

Sailor Moon pet peeve of the day: Just what the hell is up with all the fics that have the senshi going and betraying Usagi!? It doesn't make any real sense especially when you consider their proven willingness to die for Usagi when the chips are down.

Probably because some people like exaggerating how they treat Usagi in the anime. They do form a clique without her in the anime and tend to treat her like a bother during most of the filler episodes. Unless its actually during a fight where they suddenly remembered she was each of their first friends.

Personally it'd annoyed me but I never considered those episodes canon so I could never see them betray her.

New petpeeve!

Fanon!Setsuna creating CT and purposely killing thousands. Nobody died in the creation of CT, they just went into a Frozen Sleep in the anime. She's the soldier of change and revolution. She wouldn't care if CT came or if it didn't especially since she knows Usagi would be happy as long as she could protect earth and be with Mamoru.

Setsuna is a lonely woman who loves her Princess, her closest friend is Chibi-Usa and considers the Outers her family but just can't help be distant. She has dreams (to be a fashion designer) and fears (Cockroaches are her worst fear) She's not some manipulative shrew, she's the lonely guardian who has the Time God's blood running through her veins and just has trouble relating to people.

In the manga she's referred to having the Blood of the time god in her veins twice.

Everyone mentioning Chibi-Usa's hair came from nowhere. Ikuko, Chibi-Usa's grandmother in the manga had pink hair.

You can see her holding Luna, Artemis and Diana.

It doesn't even matter anyway because it turns silver by the time she ascends to the throne anyway by the time she becomes Princess Lady Serenity just like NQS and grandmother Queen Serenity.

Setsuna being Chibi-Usa's mom pisses me off tremendously. Since I've seen it used so Setsuna or Usagi appear to be victims of Mamoru and the other.

Usagi's hair is blond by but the time she's 22 her hair turns silver just like QS's hair was probably a different color and turned silver by the time she was 18. Princess Lady Serenity, (Future! Chibi-Usa) shares this trait and is able to use the Ginzuishou which is tied to the family bloodline.

Petpeeve: Chibi-Usa hating Usagi or viceversa. They may tease each other. But has anyone ever seen a pair of sisters before? Their behavior is normal. I did way more annoying things to my sister.

Do you mean if Chibi-Usa knew Usagi was Sailor Moon? Or that she was her mother?

Yeah. Don't know about manga (only scans i found had "Serena" and "Darien" which is autofail for me), but as of anime she didn't knew that her mother was Sailor Moon, that Usagi is Sailor Moon AND that Usagi is her mother.

Current pet peeve: How so many people seemed determined to ignore just what Chaos is in Sailor Moon canon. It is NOT the modern idea of simply a source of change and growth but instead hearkens back to the older myths of Chaos as a freaking primordial source of nothingness and destruction. Something that it really wants again.

Current pet peeve: Crossovers that constantly use Fanon!Sailor Moon (Distopian Crystal Tokyo, Manipulative Pluto, Irredeemably stupid Usagi, etc).

I would love to see an actual Canon!Sailor Moon crossover- manga OR anime.
