A spartan drowning in shallow pool in rural china is where my limit on suspension of disbelief starts to kick in. And lets put curtain of silence on possibility he drowned while armored.
Wait.

Your suspension of disbelief doesn't kick in when somebody gains attributes or form of something that drowned in a pool a thousand or more years ago due to a curse, but it does kick in a human wanders several thousand miles away from where his culture is and drowns in a pool?

That said, ancient Persia includes part of modern Iran, and the Persians fought on many occasions with the ancient Greeks. The western part of China at least isn't that far away from where Iran is.

Spring of the Drowned Fish
("Wait, how can fish drown?")

Spring of the Drowned Man who couldn't swim
(It basically changes nothing... except the cursed person would suddenly lost their ability to swim when in contact with cold water)

Spring of the Drowned Crippled Little Girl who had a Terminal Illness
(If you thought the other springs were tragic, you ain't seen nothing yet!)

There is already spring of almost drowned girl who cannot swim (and cook, sew, etc.). Post manga, tho - but still...

And I asummed you meant Halo Spartan.

What if Ranma fell into the Spring of drowned U.S. Marine, Army Ranger, GSG-9 officer, SAS officer, or Israeli MOSSAD officer?
It would most likely end up with Ranma being dressed in the uniform of the respective services. He would still be in incredible shape, but would likely be more partial to guns and (probably) killing techniques, if he needed to fight.

Ah, I see. I completely forgot about the Halo Spartans.

It wouldn't.

But perhaps you could try to explain why you think it would be.
Because Sparta had an intense military culture? Conflict between the military culture and Ranma's own code of honor.

Are you sure this isn't a plan to have some man-love in your fic?

Given I've been watching MLP FIM.......Spring of drowned Pink Pony...Genma meet Pinky Pie.

The springs are like the Throne of Heroes, uncaring of time. Thus, the Akaneniichuan already exists, before Akane drowns in it. How will Ranma react to a girl who looks exactly like his cursed form, and how with Akane react to this strange twin?

And how will Kuno react to two Akanes

You still haven't explained why that would be interesting. What is this conflict between Ranma and "military culture". How would a story progress with this? Any eventual end game?

Ranma falls in spring of drowned girl as normal, but decides to troll Genma by acting like it gave a personality shift, too. The 'fun' really starts when he 'gets' instant spring water from other personality pools to try and 'fix' himself.

Bonus points if Kasumi figures it out and helps?

Ranma falls in spring of drowned gender changing martial artist. I think this simple change could cause big changes :sisi:

A possibly completely new set of techniques and the chances to stay male even in his cursed form.
This is deep man. :sisi:

The next ideas came from Zombie Panic in Wonderland.

Spring of drowned Momotaro: young boy with a katana, machine guns, flamethrower and rocket launcher with infinite munition.

Spring of drowned Dorothy
Spring of drowned Snowhite
Spring of drowned Bunnysuit Snowhite
Spring of drowned Little Red Riding Hood
Spring of drowned Alice.
Young girls with guns and infinite munition.

Spring of drowned lovely zombie
Spring of drowned fragrant dwarf.
Spring of drowned Pheasant-Dog-Monkey Monster
Spring of drowned Tinman
Spring of drowned Charming Blue Prince (The final boss of this game is really hideous, a form that Ranma would utterly hate).

Yeah, pretty much. That wouldn't change, unless they could keep Kuno from seeing both of them at once, when Ranma is in girl form.

On the other hand, one thing would be rather different: no claim by Ranma to being better built, and maybe less body-insults... or, maybe more of them, but possibly different ones.

Another thought: The guide knows how far in the future the spring will be formed, and tells them. That might change how Ranma treats Akane.

I saw this story once. It was only one part long, because the author never took it further. Ranma was planning to try and keep Akane from getting anywhere near Jusenkyo, figuring that if he prevented her drowning, it'd cure his curse.

I'm sure his reasons would've become less selfish as time went on and he actually got to know this girl, but there we are.

Dull. The child that would grow up to be Superman doesn't develop powers until well after infancy, and this is a permanently baby version. Helpless characters are not interesting.

Yeah. And spring of drowned Superman has been done before more than once.

It has? I've never seen it... though, I don't want to either, so please don't actually prove your assertion.

Wise choice.
